The technician told me it was because there was no airflow and my vent needed to be cleaned. I was adamant that I had just gotten it cleaned 2 months ago, so the problem had to be my dryer. Fast forward 4 more months (6 months after he came out), my dryer breaks again! It's the same part that was just fixed - the heating element which shuts off if it's over heated. I'm still convinced it's my dryer that is broken, so I buy a new dryer ($688 with shipping/tax included). New dryer doesn't work! So I reach out to him, he ignores my calls, texts, voicemails. That is until I told him I was going to leave a review. Then he offers to come back for $99 - he should come back for free! He goes back and forth with me, admitting no wrong and getting pretty nasty over texts. The new people cleaning out my vent sent me the attached pic and in a video said "whoever claimed to have cleaned your vent, didn't clean it". Total, after having him come out + the technician to fix my dryer in January + the brand new dryer + another technician to clean my vent = $1,900. Spend the extra $100 to get somebody that knows what they are doing.

Nathan scheduled an appointment, sent Dennis, Asaf, and one other young man. After checking my roof, I was told that they could not clean the duct through the roof vent as the existing vent was not a proper dryer vent. They left and contacted Nathan to discuss with me. Nathan confirmed that the existing roof vent was more for an attic gable fan and would need to be replaced. He would order the part and call me to reschedule. The appointment was set for today between 8am-10am, the same crew called to let me know they were on the way. Upon arrival, they removed the old vent, cleaned out duct, installed new and correct roof vent (after some adjustment cuts), tested for proper function. I even did a load of towels and drying them took half as long as before. All is good. Kudos to Nathan and his staff for their promptness, professionalism, and quality work. We ended up purchasing a new dryer that was installed yesterday and thankfully it was able to sense a blockage in the vent itself and alert us to the air flow problem. We never thought the vent was the issue since the home is new. After contacting so many companies last night and this morning, I came across AALPS Dryer Vent Cleaning and they were able to come same day (a Sunday!). The receptionist sent me a photo of the car they would be arriving in and a photo of the gentleman that would be showing up to do the job. I thought that was incredibly considerate, especially because my husband is at work and I'm always weary of answering the door without him here. Gabriel arrived and was so kind to explain everything thoroughly and physically show me what the problem was. Apparently in some newer houses, they install this grate over the bottom of the dryer vent outside. Gabriel explained when there's condensation + lint, it just creates this awful clogged mess that ends up ruining a lot of peoples dryers (and from my research could even lead to a fire since it blocks up the end of the circulation). If ANYONE is having issues with their clothes not drying well... I highly recommend contacting this company. They used a tool to go through the entire vent to clear out all the lint that's been collecting and staying in there over these last several months. I felt comfortable with them in my home and they were courteous, professional, and super prompt. They also took my email address so they can send a reminder in one year for an annual cleaning. I highly recommend AALPS since they were honest up front, actually SHOWED me the problem, explained the solution, and did a clean and thorough job. I was so afraid of being scammed but the estimated cost before they arrived is exactly what I paid.
