I've been going to Matt since 2018 and will be my barber for as long as he's working. One thing I notice about the cuts, they tend to grow out really nice. A few weeks later and it will still look sharp. He specializes in mens cuts, can do any style you want. He's became a really good friend and always there for me. What was supposed to be a one-off "find a barber near me" Google search for a quick last minute appointment because my usual spot was booked.. I roll up into this plaza and ngl kinda felt intimidated when I first walked into the shop, but Matt could not have been more opposite than my initial worries had made me feel.. he is super awesome, chill and so fun and easy to chat with. Also super patient fella as ive been tardy for the party several times and he never made me feel as awful about it as I did. Don't be late yall! Read the reviews and I was really excited to get my haircut here. I didn't get my barbers name unfortunately, but he was sociable and easy to get a long with. Before we started I gave him detailed instructions on how I wanted my hair cut and showed him a picture as well. He glanced at it and proceeded to cut my hair. This is where I became nervous.. because I was hoping he'd at least take 30 secs to examine the photo I showed him. End result: I've got a really nice fade on my side, but my top side... I specifically asked for a slight trim, texturizing, and thinning to take some weight off. Well I definitely Got more than the slight trim I asked for. And had to remind him to thin it for me. My boyfriend was visiting from out of town and I made an appt for him for a hair cut here. He went and came back confused, asking if it's normal that they don't wash your hair in LA. I said no that's weird they're supposed to wash your hair. He paid $60 plus tip for the guy to sit him down cut his hair with no wash or anything and then send him on his way. The cut way too short in the back but with really long bangs that I ended up trimming for him, it was nothing like the photo he showed them and asked for. I called them to ask why they didn't even shampoo his hair and they said "oh yeah that's weird everyone is supposed to get shampooed. Please don't leave us a bad review tho." Really????! Worst haircut experience ever. The barber spent half the time watching the tv. He would buzz a little then look up at the tv. Buzz a little, look up at the tv. He stayed on one corner of my head for what seemed like 10 minutes, I think just so he could watch tv. He stopped to answer his phone at one point. I asked for a 6 on top on 3 separate occasions. He refused. He kept using scissors. Even after I asked him to use a 6 on top, he still used scissors. Now my hair is uneven. He put product in my hair without asking - I would have said no. I have a super easy haircut that should take no more than 20 min. It took him 40 min to not do what I asked. $50 haircut. You couldn't pay me to go back to this place. Never going back. read more

Hats off to the owner of this barber shop, forever 5 star rating! I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and was told that the chemo I am undergoing will cause 100% alopecia. I made the decision to take my hair before it's taken from me. Being so nervous and emotional I looked up barber shops near me. Handsome devil's was the first place I called, maybe subconsciously because the street name for my chemo is called red devil. Matt answered the phone and when I told him what I needed he instantly made it a safe space for me and said come down anytime and that he was here to help. When arriving he not only made me feel comfortable but confident and took the time to make sure I was smiling and laughing throughout this whole process, even let my friends take a turn on shaving my head. Matt paid it forward and refused to let me pay for his service, he gave me a big hug and told me anytime I need another shave that it is on the house.
