Best haircut I've had in recent memory (like within the past 10 years). Friendly, comfortable and an impressive array of lighting which no doubt empowers the skilled hands to cut with the resulting precision which makes the cut, and then some read more

This was my second haircut with Matt, and I'm just as impressed as the first time. He does an amazing job, pays close attention to the details, and makes sure everything looks great before you leave. On top of that, Matt is very personable and makes you feel genuinely welcome from the moment you walk in. I'm extremely satisfied with my haircut and will definitely be coming back. If you're looking for a talented barber who's friendly and truly cares about his clients, I highly recommend Matt! read more

I've been going to Matt since 2018 and will be my barber for as long as he's working. One thing I notice about the cuts, they tend to grow out really nice. A few weeks later and it will still look sharp. He specializes in mens cuts, can do any style you want. He's became a really good friend and always there for me. Would recommend to try him out at least once. read more

Matt and Jose are two of the best barbers I've ever met. I haven't known anyone else in the L.A./Ventura County area who can work my hair as well as they can, and they're also great people who really care about their customers. 11/10 customer service read more

Great attention to detail and technique. The individual went above and beyond to ensure that I looked good and was happy with my haircut. This is one of the little places that is essential to know about when in hollywood. So you don't end up spending five hundred dollars for a haircut just on branding and unnecessary factors. When you can go to somewhere like this and get a good haircut for fifty bucks. read more

What was supposed to be a one-off "find a barber near me" Google search for a quick last minute appointment because my usual spot was booked.. I roll up into this plaza and ngl kinda felt intimidated when I first walked into the shop, but Matt could not have been more opposite than my initial worries had made me feel.. he is super awesome, chill and so fun and easy to chat with. Also super patient fella as ive been tardy for the party several times and he never made me feel as awful about it as I did. Don't be late yall! Lol You can tell he really cares about what he does and his clients & friends! He does do walk-ins but recommend making an appointment but glad he accepted my walk-in that first time cause like 10 years later and hes my go-to guy in LA for fresh ans clean cuts! His other staff are also friendly great barbers as well.. I have gone to them a couple times when Matt was too bizzay.. Matt truly is quite the handsome devil ;) read more

Definitely the best haircut I got in a while. My barber did an outstanding job on my hair. My wife was surprised to see me in my new haircut and complimented my hair saying I was looking 10 years younger!! Thanks my man Matt!! read more

Matt is the best. I started coming here when they first opened then ventured out to another salon. After probably 7 years, when I came back in, Matt remembered me. It's a pretty rare thing to have someone like that here in LA. But when you come here, you're like family. I'll glad to be home here. read more

Matt is an incredible barber you can immediately tell he loves what he does. His energy is welcoming, his vibe is positive, and he's genuinely engaging from the moment you sit down. The cut was clean, detailed, and exactly what I wanted. It's rare to find someone who's not only great at their craft but also makes the whole experience enjoyable. I will definitely be coming back to him again! read more

Matt is incredible. I thought it was going to take forever to find a new barber after moving to LA, but he did fantastic work.

This review is long overdue and I recommend this shop to all my friends. Not only do I refuse to have my haircut anywhere else but Matt has become a close friend and his conversations are worth the 40 minute drive I take to see him. Met him during the pandemic and haven't stopped coming to his shop since. Matt is the such an awesome dude and I haven't had a bad cut from him ever. Very reasonable prices and convenient location, parking is always available which is a huge upside in LA read more

Matt is great. I'm an old guy, he's young and he makes me look young! No attitude just great cuts. He also lets me know what styles won't work for me. Thanks Matt for all the great cuts over the years. read more

Read the reviews and I was really excited to get my haircut here. I didn't get my barbers name unfortunately, but he was sociable and easy to get a long with. Before we started I gave him detailed instructions on how I wanted my hair cut and showed him a picture as well. He glanced at it and proceeded to cut my hair. This is where I became nervous.. because I was hoping he'd at least take 30 secs to examine the photo I showed him. End result: I've got a really nice fade on my side, but my top side... I specifically asked for a slight trim, texturizing, and thinning to take some weight off. Well I definitely Got more than the slight trim I asked for. And had to remind him to thin it for me. I'll post the photo I showed him and what I got and you guys tell me if it's the same or not. read more

This is one of those owner operated places that makes the local community a better place. Dropped in for a walk in cut. Matt immediately took care of me and did EXACTLY what i wanted to do with my hair. He took into consideration all my requests and I walked away super happy with my haircut. A lot of places will ask my what I want and then just give me the same cut regardless. But not here! read more

I have tried a few Barbers in the Hollywood area. I got nothing but a jailhouse haircut for $60 and a bad attitude... I finally found Hanson Devils and had met Matt the owner who now cuts my hair on a regular basis. The best hair cut I have had and also stays consistent with my hair every time. Good vibes and energy at this place and arguably the best barber around! read more

There is only one man I trust to give me the best fade in Hollywood - Matt is the man. This barber shop is fire. I've been going to Handsome Devils for my haircuts for a few years now, and there's a reason I keep coming back--Matt, the store owner. His attention to detail is impeccable; he never rushes you in and out but instead takes his time. I dub him the 'King of Fades' because that's precisely what he is. His fades are perfection, and his excellent care will make you want to return. If you're in need of a haircut, look no further because he's the one you want at Handsome Devil's Barber shop. read more

My boyfriend was visiting from out of town and I made an appt for him for a hair cut here. He went and came back confused, asking if it's normal that they don't wash your hair in LA. I said no that's weird they're supposed to wash your hair. He paid $60 plus tip for the guy to sit him down cut his hair with no wash or anything and then send him on his way. The cut way too short in the back but with really long bangs that I ended up trimming for him, it was nothing like the photo he showed them and asked for. I called them to ask why they didn't even shampoo his hair and they said "oh yeah that's weird everyone is supposed to get shampooed. Please don't leave us a bad review tho." Really????! No apology, no offer to fix it, just a guilt trip to not leave a bad review??? SMFH read more

Personable, intuitive, attentive...these are a few adjectives to describe Matt's high level of customer care. The price of a cut is incredibly generous for the amount of amenities and services provided. BUT that doesn't take into account how masterful Matt is with a pair of clippers and scissors. Entered the shop with a full year of COVID beard growth and Matt had me exiting and feeling like a real handsome devil! read more

This is easily the best barbershop in Hollywood! The place itself has a really cool atmosphere, always a great movie playing while you get a great haircut! Matt always makes ya look fresh same as any other barber read more

Worst haircut experience ever. The barber spent half the time watching the tv. He would buzz a little then look up at the tv. Buzz a little, look up at the tv. He stayed on one corner of my head for what seemed like 10 minutes, I think just so he could watch tv. He stopped to answer his phone at one point. I asked for a 6 on top on 3 separate occasions. He refused. He kept using scissors. Even after I asked him to use a 6 on top, he still used scissors. Now my hair is uneven. He put product in my hair without asking - I would have said no. I have a super easy haircut that should take no more than 20 min. It took him 40 min to not do what I asked. $50 haircut. You couldn't pay me to go back to this place. Never going back. read more
