10 stars! We were…read moresearching for a custom wooden dining table base for our stone tabletop (purchased elsewhere), and Paul and the Philadelphia Table Company were simply a pleasure to work with. We had a very specific idea of a design we wanted, and they executed! We showed them a photograph of a base found at a big-box store, and Paul and the team recreated it for us. I'll be honest - I ask a LOT of questions, and struggle with not controlling every aspect of the process. Every email and DM that I sent over (which, were multiple, I assure you) were promptly and thoroughly answered, with the upmost professionalism and enthusiasm. For stain colors, I was having trouble visualizing the stains in our space, and the team mailed over physical samples for us to look at. They continued to update us during the build process, showed us mock-up photos, and even worked with us to change the design slightly, at my request. The obvious best/most important factor is that the table base was everything we hoped for. The piece is stunning, sturdy, and perfect - it's very clear the team takes pride in their craft. Delivery was a breeze, and was super fast and efficient. My only regret is that we don't have a need for anymore furniture right now! Would absolutely recommend Philadelphia Table Company to anyone looking for beautiful furniture, made to last! *Note: We never stepped foot in their show room, nor met with Paul or his team in person, due to Covid19. Despite that, I felt extremely taken care of, and valued as a customer throughout the process.

Paul and his team communicated throughout the process (and wore masks when we met in person!). Paul listens to your interests and style and then offers suggestions based on the room and what you're looking for. Paul even helped us pick out a plaque for the table. We are thrilled with our new table and already have future design ideas for more work. If you're looking for any custom furniture, you have to work with Paul and his team!

Now, this place was fun! I discovered More Than Old with a friend over the last First Friday and…read morehad a fabulous time! It was obvious from the front window display that this was an antique/vintage/tchotchke store with lots of barware, but there turned out to be so much more inside, some things I didn't even know existed! Do you like sculptures of glass cats? There's a lot to choose from here, and I really enjoyed seeing so many in one place. What about some really cool framed maps of old Philly? They are quietly hanging on the wall across from the impressive ceramic owl collection. I bet you've never thought about a stainless steel magnetic salt and pepper shaker set shaped like two elbow macaronis that can be morphed in to different shapes, made in Germany? You know, for those who fidget at the table (I actually almost bought this). Really, there is a lot to look at here, so First Friday is a great time to pop in, have a glass of wine, and poke around. The store shop owners are really sweet and seem to enjoy talking about the items in their collection, so don't be shy about asking questions. I will be stopping in again and again and again!
