One tree has quickly become a part of my daily routine since my first visit. I greatly appreciate…read morethe variety of classes formats, instructors, time slots, and intensity of practices. Every instructor brings something unique and offers both modifications and challenges. I have noticed a huge difference both physically and mentally from consistent hot yoga at One Tree! But I also enjoy popping into some of the other classes like barre, yoga sculpt, Pilates and more. This studio has been such a positive atmosphere for me on my yoga journey!

I go around 4-6 times a week now for hot yoga classes and have taken the majority of their instructors so far. I have never been disappointed by any of them. The studio is exceptionally clean all the time, supplies fully stocked in the bathroom, and instructors are friendly. Each instructor truly has their own style and will challenge you in different ways, so your best bet is to try multiple instructors and see what you like most! They have yoga mats for rental if needed, two showers, a ton of props like blocks, pads, and straps, and even a cute little store area with mugs, shirts, crystals, etc. I have tried three other yoga studios between Clinton, Davenport, and DeWitt and none have lived up to One Tree, especially in the instructor knowledge aspect. My practice has come so far in just a year because the instructors here really pay attention and assist when needed in polite ways. Almost all of them also do a really great job at describing the poses as well so it's easy to feel comfortable even if you're just beginning.

Just went to Barre 563 for the first time this week! Was back in Iowa visiting family for the…read moreholidays and was thrilled to see we have our first barre studio! The studio is small a small mirrored room with ballet barres on all walls. It is clean and organized, and there is upbeat music playing throughout. It probably fits about ~20 students. They offer several classes a day. I've only taken the barre amped so far - which is a pretty typical barre class. We started with a series of arm exercises (small movements, light weights), moved into thighs/glutes at the barre and then moved to the floor for abs (planks, high curl etc.). At $15 a class, it is reasonable for barre. In LA and Chicago, I've seen barre cost $25 a class. The class flowed well and Sarah strikes a nice balance between instruction and encouragement. Looking forward to trying the barre amped bootcamp!

Little movements does not mean easy! I am a muscular, in shape woman & my body still convulsizes during the exercises in class. If you want long, lean, toned body this workout is for you. Membership is a little pricey due to the small classes & individualized attention from the instructors however I think it's in line with or cheaper than Barre classes in other markets. Plus, she often runs email deals & promos. The instructors really pay attention to your form & posture offering little modifications & corrections. My only compliant is there is not water fountain to fill up from. Refill your reusable water bottle before you get here because it won't fit under the sink faucet in the bathroom. Overall, a fun workout that compliments my more traditional strength & cardio program.

A head & neck injury I sustained due to the negligence of this yoga studio, changed my life as I…read moreonce knew it. I wish I could tell my whole story, but it's just not realistic in a review. Suffice to say, the class was instructed to do an ADVANCED move that should have never been done in a normal class. (Didn't know it was advanced until a classmate who rushed me to the hospital kept repeating that) I not only required stitches, but suffered frontal lobe trauma as well as a severe neck injury. It severely affected my professional life as a hairstylist & my personal life physically. I was at the height of my fitness cycling, lifting heavy, Pilates for mobility, very fit & active lifestyle. I talked to the owner, Kelly Harris, who informed me THEIR LIABILITY INSURANCE LAPSED & HADN'T BEEN RENEWED. But in good faith, she assured me she would make things right. We kept in contact and she kept telling me to wait until my treatment was over. All this time she was in contact with her lawyer. I trusted her. I was unable to obtain a lawyer of my own, as once they heard the studio had no liability insurance they denied coming aboard. My treatment was extensive and by the two-year mark, she was no longer "responsible" according to her attorney (she stopped communicating with me once she knew I was past the statute of limitations.) She never offered one cent toward my treatment. I lost clientele not being able to work due to severe noise sensitivity, still suffer from concussion symptoms, numbness in my arm from the cervical injury, and continued ear ringing. I couldn't keep up with my bills, $10,000 in loans & and eventually had to move to adjust financially. I suffered from depression, eventually needing medication, I'm still not the same. Although I have made peace with my situation, I cannot stress enough, for your own safety, DO NOT go to this Pilates studio. If the owner doesn't see the importance of keeping liability insurance active at this type of business and in addition would lie to one of their clients who was injured on premises, what else would they feel comfortable turning a blind eye to? In good conscience I had to leave this review.
