It was difficult finding this restaurant. Here is a picture of the front of the business. It did not open until a few minutes before 5pm as the first seating. The food was exquisite presented and the flavors complement each other. The fish was fresh! Highly recommend this amazing restaurant as a place for a business dinner or a special celebration as it as $250 per person.

If you couldn't fly to Japan this year, head to Hanare for a traditional omakase experience! Every bite of what was served reminded me of all the dishes I love in Japan! The chef brought beauty, elegance, and freshness to each piece presented. Service was perfection! We were seated on time and the dishes were promptly served. If our chef wasn't explaining what he was serving us, our server would do so in his place, especially when the dishes were from the kitchen. The dining room seats about 10 people. Simple yet elegant decor that fits the profile of our whole dining experience. A hidden omakase gem!

Came here to celebrate a birthday on a weekend: SERVICE = 5 (very intimate setting, bar setting with only 8-person capacity. Direct interaction with the chef. Considering only one server for the entire meal, good overall) TASTE = 5 (10-course Omakase. All ingredients at extremely fresh. eg. Never thought I would be a fan of monkfish liver, and the Hokkaido uni is just WOW!) Ambient = 5 (again, intimate setting and the chef is very friendly and approachable. Max capacity of 10 person per meal, with 8-person sitting capacity at the bar, and one 2-person private table available for reservation. Interior decor is simple yet elegant) Experience = 5 (all except the restaurant is a bit concealed, and not easy to find for 1st-timers as it does not have an obvious sign outside of the restaurant) Definitely worth going back again!

Just moved down from LA last month and I am still looking for my regular places to go. Food wise is excellent. All dishes were well executed. Nigiri were good cuts. I enjoyed the kombu jime ji kinmedai. Service was a bit slow and I did leave a bit hungry. Definitely a dinner option when I am in thr mood and wanting a omakase.

My friend and I came here to celebrate her milestone birthday. This review is overdue, but didn't want to completely forget the exceptional experience. We had a wonderful time here. It was my first time and memorable for special occasions. Our hostess/waitress provided excellent service and was attentive in so many ways to make our dinner very special. She paid attention subtly and was always there one step ahead to take care of us. We sat at the bar in front of the chef and felt spoiled by the variety of dishes in our meal. Every dish was beautifully, presented and boasted different flavors and texture profiles. I was intrigued by the beautiful presentation for each dish. This was an unforgettable special experience!

We came on a Thursday night, and the bar wasn't full. 8 pm reservation n There was only 4 people including me. Every dish was delicious, however I wasn't impress with how fast they wanted to serve the next dish. I felt like I had to eat fast n swallow every thing down immediately. Our server kept coming over to clear my plate n it was annoying. I would probably prefer to come back on a busier night. Anyways I would Come back- but the price tag ! $250 pp and a nice bottle of sake. My date was amazing

Disappointed ... I mean guys I'm sorry but its not worth. Food just ok, nothing super tasty

The whole experience was amazing from start to finish. Every dish that came out looked like art and there was a lot of time that took place behind the scene from the way each item. However! For the price point of $250/pp, I think there was a lot of tiny things that discouraged us from coming again. Since each dish was prepared way beforehand, many courses came out at odd temperatures; most of them in room temp food. The mini tempura fish was also disappointing. For a whole fried fish (smaller than 1 inch) it was stale and not crispy at all. It was fried hours ago for something that probably only takes 5 minutes because it's so tiny. The service and attention to detail was unlike anything else though. It almost felt like I was back in Japan. But for the price, we expected "freshly" prepared items. Even the rice for the nigiri wasn't seasoned with vinegar so it was bland except for the soy sauce the chef used. The inside is small and can seat less than 15 people. All handled by the chef. Overall, I would recommend it for the experience but not for the food. For $250 it was definitely pretty to the eyes but "ok" on the tastebuds.

This place is super expensive and has bugs inside of it. You get one little piece of sushi for each course and you pay $300 per person. Just go to eat sushi you will get way more sushi that is better and a better experience.

Overall, Hanare was an incredible omakase experience. I made a reservation for 2 people 2 weeks before via OpenTable, and it was super easy to make the reservation, but you are also able to text them to make a reservation as well. My aunt and I sat at the bar (10 seats), which only serves the Chef's Omakase. I lost count of how many dishes total, but everything was so well presented and tasted amazing. The fish was high quality with the perfect rice to fish ratio for me. For your last omakase dish, we got to choose from an uni roll or toro roll, and I chose uni, but you could not go wrong with either one. Definitely worth a try!

Probably the best dining experience I've ever had. The entrance is quite hidden, and we spent a few minutes searching for it. Upon arrival, the ambiance was calm and zen. The music was peaceful and welcoming, and the lighting was just the right amount of moody. It was around 11 or 12 courses and each dish was phenomenal. Some highlights: hairy crab, chawanmushi, raw lobster, wagyu, all the cuts of sushi, and the panna cotta at the end. My favorite bite has to be uni/toro handroll!! I came here a few years ago, but i still remember the meal TO THIS DAY.

How can I even describe how much I love the food, atmosphere, and staff here? If I lived nearby, I'd happily come twice a month. I've tried more than 15 omakase around the world, and Hana Re's appetizers are by far the most creative and delicious. And their dessert - panna cotta? Truly unbeatable. The chef has a long history of perfecting it, and it shows. I ordered it three times in one sitting and had to force myself not to go for a fourth. This is the only omakase spot in SoCal where I say "See you next time" instead of goodbye. Huge thanks to the chef and his wife for always creating such a peaceful dining atmosphere and consistently serving incredible food. (P.S. If the chef ever opens a dessert shop, I'll be bringing everyone I know for that panna cotta! :D)

Wonderful evening, date night: The place is very calm, great decor, gorgeous handmade dishes & sake glasses. Service was 10/10 We sat at the bar. Every course was better than the last. Extensive sake menu. Courses included small bites of exquisite shellfish, fish soup, sashimi, waygu beef, sushi & clam miso soup. Dessert was panacotta. Uni was optional but included. My partner opted for uni & I received another sushi piece, The fish was so fresh, melted in your mouth: Everything was top quality & creative Worth every penny. Wonderful experience will return.

Today we went there not knowing of the change. The food is now certainly "all you can eat" quality. We opted against the all you can eat limited menu, and ordered of the regular menu but the quality was terrible: 1. The toro nigri was chewy, very thinly cut, with a very small piece of rice. 2. We could not tell the difference between regular salmon and the salmon belly nigri they brought us. It looked and tasted exactly the same. Definitely not fatty salmon belly. 3. The yellow tail belly was chewy. 4. All the fish in their nigri sushi were thinly cut with very little rice. Definitely all you can eat amount of fish. 5. The rolls were small and for some reason all tasted the same with little flavor. If you like all you can eat sushi places which always offer low quality fish, you might like this place. I also had to use the restroom really bad. I walked in and spoke with a lady at the front counter and I told her I needed a table for 1 but before I was to be seated I needed to use the restroom. She looked at me with a skeptical look and asked me "Are you just trying to use the restroom? Are you really gonna eat here or just use the restroom and leave?" in a very condescending tone. The way she looked at me and spoke to me made me feel like someone off the street, a bum, trying to use the restroom. I'm Latino and a blue collar worker who wears work boots and work pants, so I feel like my appearance made her feel comfortable to question me and speak to me the way she did. If I was a white dude in regular clothes I highly doubt she would've talked to me like that. I insisted I was there to dine in but that I really needed to use the restroom first. After I convinced her, she pointed to the right corner of the restaurant and told me to go ahead. I was halfway to the restroom when I said you know what, **** this. I'm not spending my money where I'm not being treated with respect. I did an about face and started walking out and the lady asked me if the restroom was closed or something but I told her I didn't want to eat there anymore. I high-tailed it out of there and went to Chopob sushi down the street where I was treated much kinder and got to use the restroom before being seated, without question. I will never give this business another cent. Treat your customers with respect.

You won't find your typical rainbow rolls at this restaurant (I do love a good rainbow roll though). The rolls we ordered were the Snowflake (which was flavored with yuzu), the Lobster roll (which was so much more than a typical baked lobster/langostino roll), and the Are You Kidding Me roll, which was big on truffle flavor and came topped with fried onions. I thoroughly enjoyed the Snowflake roll. It had multiple types of fish inside, and the yuzu flavor added the perfect fresh citrusy touch. It also came dotted with a tiny bit of sriracha (or some other spice) but it was just a hint and it's easy to wipe off if you don't want any spice. The Lobster roll was the star of the show. I give it a 10/10 for presentation, and it was also the best tasting one in my opinion. It was plated with a shelled lobster tail, which looks visually pleasing, but the most impressive part was right before serving, the waitress lit it on fire and handed it to us, as if it were flaming creme brulee or something. The flame actually wasn't on the roll itself, but was on what appeared to be a trail of salt (presumably soaked in some kind of alcohol to make it burn). It definitely was a cool effect and I've never seen anything like it in a sushi restaurant! Lastly, the Are You Kidding Me roll - this was my third favorite out of the three we ordered. It was pretty good but I think the truffle flavor was a bit strong. I'm also personally not a huge fan of fried onions on top of sushi since I think it clashes a bit with the freshness of the fish, and gives me too many bar food vibes. But it certainly was flavorful and my husband and I still finished it. We shared these three sushi rolls between the two of us and it was just the right amount of food to leave feeling full. Besides the food, the restaurant itself was nice although I'm not sure they really needed to have a live DJ there as opposed to having a Spotify Playlist. Didn't bother me but I don't think it really added much to the vibe. I would definitely eat here again!

But the flavors of the dishes eased my fear. It was delicious. I love salmon and uni when it comes to sushi and I would recommend others to try this place! Several people already saw my instagram post and asked the name of the restaurant! I'm very happy that the food turned out phenomenal! Toyko nacho (recommend) : it was messy to eat and had a kick of spice. I didn't mind the mess though. Lots of different flavors. Uni hotate yuzu: scallops topped with uni. Eating it was like butter. Sour flavor profile from the yuzu. A bit overpowering. And the maldon sea salt was interesting. So you get the texture of buttery soft from the scallop and uni and a crunch factor from the salt. 5pc Salmon nigiri: so fatty and buttery! If you love salmon then definitely get this. The presentation was so cute. It lays on a bed of ice. And throughout the dinner the pieces of salmon were chilled. Monster nigiri (recommend) : I don't think anything about this when my honey suggested order this. But once it got to the table and we ate it. Wow! This dish flavors stood out to me. The crispy sweet onions and sauce perfected the meal. Dragon: It was pretty tasty and decent. I know my honey liked it a lot. He prefers not to eat raw fish, so this was to his liking (I recommend to those who don't eat raw fish). Truffle essence (recommend) : The taste of truffle is weirdly addicting. The presentation was eye catching because the candle is keeping the truffle butter warm. The concept of dipping or pouring the truffle butter onto the roll was a fun way of eating. Snowflake roll: A lot of reviews mentioned this was a popular dish. I can see why it was popular. It's literally a bunch of fish in a roll! Haha, fish lover this would be perfect to order. Crunchy roll: It was a decent roll, but a bit dryer than I expected. Orders and ratings: Tokyo nacho 9/10. Uni hotate yuzu 10/10. 5pc Salmon nigiri 10/10. Monster 11/10. Dragon 8/10. Truffle essence 9/10. Snowflake roll 10/10. Crunchy roll 6/10. Thank you!

Our waitress was busy handling other tables so we had to ask another waiter on 2 separate occasions for water cups, plates, utensils, etc. He seemed confused why our table wasn't prepared adequately. Our first appetizers finally arrived after 30 minutes which included the edamame, some tempura/dumplings, and takoyaki. The portions were tiny but good. Fast forward another 15 mins and the baked salmon roll had arrived which tasted subpar as the rice was incredibly mushy. After waiting another 15 minutes, we asked our waitress if we could just pay for what we had eaten and leave as no one had checked up on us and our order. It had been an HOUR since we were seated and no sushi rolls except one had been served. The sushi chef let us know to wait ten more minutes while he got started on our order, basically letting us know he forgot to make our food. We let our waitress know that we refused to wait any longer and to charge us for what was already served to which she replied with a snotty tone that other places will have longer wait times and rolled her eyes. The sushi chef was kind enough to comp our meal after this disaster, but the waitress left a bad taste in our mouth. Won't be coming back here.

Already craving this as I write this post. The flavors really pack a punch & miso soup with edamame is an excellent touch! Servers were nice and the club lighting takes you away from the hot sun or away from a drab ordinary night. Highly recommend!

The parking garage has many underground levels and is often very busy. I was lucky to grab one of the last few spaces on the second level down on an early Tuesday evening. The interior is trendy with lots of neon signs, cool wall décor, stylish seating, and an attractive bar. In addition to booth and half-booth/half-table seating, they also have two enclosed glass wall rooms for more intimate dining. We went for the all-you-can-eat dinner, which is $38.99 per person for the regular menu or $45.99 per person for the premium menu. We wanted to have the premium menu, but one person in our group of four was running late. We asked if we could have the premium menu and just get regular menu items until they arrived. We didn't think it would be a big deal, but our server said everybody had to be there at the beginning to order premium. We ordered a rainbow roll to hold us over until our friend finally arrived. We had various nigiri including salmon, tuna, albacore, yellowtail, sweet shrimp, scallop, eel, uni, masago, salmon egg, as well as soft shell crab, broiled and fried mussels, octopus, and shishito peppers. There were probably some other items I forgot. Everything was generally good, although a few pieces of tuna were a little on the dry side. Slow service the main issue. The restaurant wasn't very busy, and it seemed like there was only one server who I'm sure was trying her best. It often took quite a while for food to arrive, and several of our orders were mistakenly delivered to the table next to us. We thought we were done, and at the very end another large plate came out including some of the premium items we never got earlier. The meal was ok, but we probably wouldn't return.
