Their fried chicken is diviiiiiiiine. This is one of the main places I recommend to people whenever they ask me where they should eat in Paris.
I first read about Han Lim on JustHungry.com. Maki, the writer, said she could easily eat a whole bucket of the chicken, and I can see why! It's super fragrant and savoury - the garlicky-oniony crispiness is make-your-eyes-roll-back good. I don't know how they blast all those air pockets into the crispy skin but it's amazing.
The only down side is that sometimes the chicken can be dry. Paired with plain rice, it's...well, even more dry. So I'd go with a friend and order something with sauce or soup next time (every time I go I seem to be alone, unfortunately).
They also serve a bunch of little side dishes.
I'd recommend going before...I think it's 2:3opm or so, before they close to prepare for the dinner crowd. Also, if you go during the day, you can get the prix fixe menu, which is a great value!
Bonus: Han Lim is situated in a really nice part of Paris, the 5e arrondissement. It's close to the beautiful Sorbonne university, and a lot of cool shops and ethnic food restaurants, for a different side of Paris. Oh, and it's walking distance from My Favourite French Pharmacy Ever (which sells a huge selection of my favourite skincare for a great price!). read more
