Kimchi and pork stew
Matt C.

If you are interested in Korean food, just skip the rest of this review and head straight to Mee. You will not be disappointed. In this restaurant you will find plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. It carries a modern industrial decor. The service was great, which surprised me because I only saw 3 people serving the entire restaurant. Now, for the food. Here's the deal, I've been to Korea many times and have run the gamut on food. So, I have an idea of what one might expect from authentic Korean food. At Mee, I felt like I was invited into the chef's house and was treated to a very home style Korean meal. I mean, it seemed to me that a lot of love has gone into their food. Beyond that though, they scale it up with a very fine presentation. The menu is two pages, one of starters and one of mains. We had three starters - dumplings, Korean fried chicken, and the tartare. We also had three mains - Korean bbq, beef and vermicelli noodles, and the kimchi and pork stew. I am not going to break it down because each one was spectacular. The flavors were unreal - just the right amount of spice, zest, sweetness or sour. The cook on the meats was perfect - each one melted in the mouth. It was as it should be. The prices were below what I believe they could ask. This was a true bargain. One of the best meals I had in Paris but at a fraction of the cost. Like I said, if you like Asian food then look no further. You would be foolish not to try this one!

We really enjoyed our food and service. We entered the restaurant and was pleasantly greeted by the hostess who was very welcoming and friendly. The waitress were also very attentive and were consistent in bring water. The food was flavorful and just perfect. We highly recommend this restaurant!

This small intimate Korean café is a Michelin Restaurant 2018 for a reason. The food rocks, the atmosphere is chill, and the prices, especially for Paris, are hugely fair. The food was excellent! I would highly recommend the bimibap bowl. I had the bulgolgi. Very tasty, but a little more boiled than the variation that is served in the US. The fried chicken balls were off the hook. I would come back and try several other options on the menu if I lived here. The decor that greets you is more modern chic than Korean traditional: The walls are ancient brick and bits of plaster from past inhabitants of the space. The lighting is that hipster industrial. The floors, the warm wood tables and some of the simple furnishings soften the place. Beer, wine, sake. They have Hite, the Korean beer, so that was perfect. Service was mostly very good. A lot of Americans like this place. Most of the staff was very friendly, but the waitress who seated and served us clearly knew that we don't speak French, and dropped French menus on us. We thought that was all that they had. The nicer waitress, watching us struggle with our Google Translators was kind enough to offer English menus. I have no problem trying to operate in their language but, if the House is kind enough to try and make me feel more comfortable, the waitress sticking it to me out of some sense of cultural pride doesn't sit well. Go! They're open for lunch on Sunday even though it shows closed. We were supposed to go to a nearby Japanese place that's also supposed to be epic, but there was a 40+ minute line.

I wasn't expecting too much of Korean food in Paris, but after eating baguettes/croissants/mediocre french food, the cravings of home kicked in. We were debating between the Japanese place next door and this place but I refused to walk another step since it was past 9 pm and I was starving. Even at 9 pm the restaurant was packed. I want to say it was mostly french patrons and few Korean tourists. We got the vegetable tempura, bibimbap and bulgogi. The prices are almost double than what we pay back in Atlanta, portions are half the size, and it definitely lacks flavor. On top of that service is very slow and unfriendly. Totally regret coming here and wish I just walked a few more steps to eat some ramen next door.

Ome of the best korean we've had while our stay in Paris. Their menu is limited in terms of variety but each dishes are amazing. We ordered their dolsot bibimbap and the stone bowl came sizzling hot. We also love that they take reservations since most korean restaurants in Pyramides dont take any reservations. The service was great and everything was amazing

We loved the bibimbop, the squid ohjingo dopbop, tofu kimchi soup, and kimchi! There is a subtle french twist but we appreciated it!

We didnt want to wait in line next door and unexpectedly came here and was seated right away. Being Korean-American, we appreciate the korean-french taste which is subtle but definitely Korean authentic! We licked all the bowls clean: bibimbop, squid ohjingo dopbop, tofu kimchi soup (soondubu jigae), pajeon, kimchi mandu.

We came in without a reservation on a weekday and were sat without a problem. Despite the fact that we were friendly, quick-to-order and polite, our server was unbelievably cranky. She was pissy about taking our order in a noisy restaurant, as if this was my fault. I guess good help is hard to find... The other staff members were very welcoming and friendly. The rice bowls arrive very hot and your food cooks in front of you. Truly a fantastic meal!

Chicken appetizer :3

This place caught me by surprise! Pros: -good food for good prices -original desserts -really good chicken on appetizer (fried chicken) -gorgeous interior Cons: -awful service -poorly staffed -door doesn't close properly so if you're sitting by the door, you're going to be really cold -the plates and China they use are all chipped. Kind of offsetting. My boyfriend and I came here by mistake. Sanukiya was randomly closed on a Saturday night so we decided to give this place a try. I research the hell out of my food but I didn't know about this place so my expectations were low. We came around 8 pm and were seated immediately. The place wasn't that busy so again, I had low expectations. The interior of this place is stunning! Reminds me of hip traditional Korean restaurants in Seoul. I found the aesthetics of the place very pleasing. We were given paper menus that didn't quite go with the place. To start, we ordered the kimchi pan fried dumplings (5€) and fried chicken (8€). For our entrees we ordered jap chae and dolsot bi bim bap. All entrees are 14€, some at the bottom were an additional 2 to 4€. Our appetizers came out quickly. There were four pan fried dumplings and they came with a light soy sauce vinegar sauce in a bird ceramic. It was good but I want more than four. The chicken was really good. They were seasoned lightly with a soy sauce chili sauce with green onion. They were cooked to perfection and bite size (no bones!). Our entrees were good and plating was gorgeous. Jap chae was a little too salty and bland but it fits the French palette. The dolsot bi bim bap was amazing!! The stone pot came really hot (rare in France) so it was sizzling left and right. Meat came out raw but cooked quickly. The veggies were seasoned great and rice got crispy at the bottom. It came with a bottle of hot sauce and soy sauce. Soy sauce for the French people lol. The chili hot sauce paste was really good! Somewhat sweet so it was truly Korean. We ordered three desserts for 5€ each: coffee with two suk infused Madeleine's, Omija with vanilla ice cream, and red bean with vanilla ice cream. The Madeleine's were nothing special. The Omija was really strong and came with chunky ice. More vanilla ice cream would be nice. The red bean dessert was delicious but too small! There was chunky and thick red bean with a small scoop of vanilla and dusted with a bean powder (mistook). Amazing. The only problem was that it was impossible to get the attention of our waitress. One of them was really snotty and would ignore is even when my French boyfriend said really clearly, "excuse moi." The broken plates too were really bothersome. Our whole meal came out to 56€ which is really good! I would definitely come back here. Yum.

Jumolok (I think). Spicy pork goodness.

Great little Korean restaurant just a short walk from the Louvre. We came here on a Monday eve & were seated quickly. The menu is entirely in French, as it should be. If you're not familiar with either Korean cuisine or the French language, do as I say and you'll be fine. We each had a starter. My wife had the kimchi dumplings. Delicious. Dissatisfied because only 4 come in an order (american gluttony is a terrible thing). I had the fried chicken bites (naturally), which I easily spotted on the menu (poule is one of three French words I know, along with porc and frommage). Very tasty. Also, very hot; pace yourself when biting. On to the main dishes. My wife had the bibimbap with an egg on top. It is served in a sizzling bowl, so the meat & egg cooked while the rice gained a slight crispiness to it. Yum. She really loved it. I had the (I hope I'm spelling this correctly) Jumolok. It's a spicy pork dish and it's fantastic. We also split some bulgogi. It was average; adding soy sauce improved it somewhat, but I'll pass on this next time. We'll definitely be back here.

Delicious, very tasty and affordable What else to add? Do not miss this address if you want to try a delicious coreen food

We were so happy to find this restaurant at first. But on our second visit, they put us in the upstairs area KNOWING it would close within 30 mins. We thought the restaurant was closing in 30 so we ate super fast. Despite doing so, they rushed us twice. After going downstairs we saw many customers still downstairs and was told that only upstairs was closing. WHY DID YOU PUT US UPSTAIRS THEN? We complained to the server and owner, both of them just shrugged. We are Asians - my husband is Korea actually. This is so embarrassing when our own kind in a foreign country treats people this way. I do not recommend coming here until their attitude improves.

The restaurant was quite busy, and there is seating on two floors. We sat on the ground level, cooled off with some Cass beers, and ordered away. Definitely get the spicy squid - it was very flavorful, spicy without kicking your butt, and oh so tender. Skip the Korean fried chicken, which had an odd texture. While we didn't have the largest assortment of banchan, they were all quite good. The haricot vert was a little odd, as I have never had that in Korea, but I guess it makes perfect sense in Paris :). Prices are very reasonable, and service was fast. Definitely a nice spot for Korea food in a convenient location.

Unfortunately, they don't offer hot stone bowls, so the rice was not crispy. I hope they add this option to their menu because I would pay extra for it. I got their lunch set and it was totally worth it for less than 13€ (the price depends on which entree you pick). The vegetable fried dumplings were small but delicious. I was so full at the end and couldn't even finish. The only thing I wish they did was to not "dilute" the spiciness, but this is my second time eating Korean food in Paris and we noticed in general the spicy level is much more mild here than in Korea or the States. My friend ordered tteok-bokki and it came out more orange than red. I also used a lot of the sauce for my bibimbap, but still couldn't taste any spicy.

For the meal, I ordered the kimchi stew which was way way way too sweet and my boyfriend got the dolsot Bobimbap and he found it very plain. Our meals each came with three side dishes and a starter of choice. We both got the ravioli and it was super dry, like they just reheated it. The food came out crazy fast so this really is questionable. The check came out to be 32€ so the prices are low but there isn't much to write about in terms of taste. Bathrooms are located downstairs. I'll probably come try the rice cakes with ramen but I wouldn't come back for anything else.

This is highly recommended as it's a small place, and they accepted very few diners without reservations on the night we visited. The interior is quite simple, but the staff were very friendly and spoke pretty good English. There is a tiny restroom upstairs. We each had the "opera" set menu which included fried dumplings, soup, and a choice of entrees. Everything was quite decent. The dumplings were hot and crispy with tasty filling but seemed like they were store bought and not made in house. The soup was decent but a bit bland. I had the bulgogi for my entree which was grilled at the table. It was also decent but not particularly flavorful. It was tender though. Overall a perfectly decent meal for your Korean fix in Paris.

Compared to bibimbap, Uke bibimbap is placed on a hot plate with the beef still raw on top. The heat from the plate will cook it as you mix all the ingredients together. I added some soy sauce and gochujang to increase the flavors and must I say, this dish fulfilled my Korean food cravings. I loveeeeeeed it so much! Will definitely dream of eating this dish again.

Since I've had plenty of Korean food back in the States (especially K-Town), I wanted to see just how legitimate Korean food in Paris would be. I arrived before it opened for dinner, and there was already a small line outside: I was able to get a seat inside, but within 15-20 minutes, the restaurant was entirely packed! Goes to show that it's popular and that both locals and tourists love this spot. Opted for the classic bibimbap, which came with a good portion of banchan. The bibimbap was pretty good, served piping hot and with plenty of ingredients (carrots, cucumbers, beef, rice) inside. I would say that it tasted just like what I would get back in K-Town (aka standard), which is excellent while abroad. Perhaps it was because I came for dinner, but it was notably pricey (17 euros) compared with what I would pay for otherwise. However, the quality is pretty good, and I left full and content afterwards. Worth a try!
