My wife and I are Korean-Americans in our mid 50's. We are both foodies, my wife is a great Korean cook, and we recently lived in South Korean for 4 months and have eaten excellent Korean cuisine. We went here based on the high Yelp reviews. We were disappointed from the very first contact. We were not greeted when we entered. In fact, my wife had to say hello to start the conversation. I ordered tofu stew and wife ordered bulgogi(beef marinated in soy sauce). As one previous reviewer whose review I unfortunately read after our visit notes, "the bulgogi was tough and fairly flavourless". In fact, all the flavours were off. The cabbage kimchee was too sweet and the radish kimchee was too old. Not sure who has been doing the Yelp reviews but stay away from this place if you want truly delicious Korean food served with care and love. Not once during our meal were we asked how were were doing or if we needed anything. Even when attempting to pay with my American credit card, I was informed by the very stoic and proud old man, that his credit card machine would not accept my card. I told him I was surprised because we had just been through Italy and Paris for the previous 18 days and had never had a problem with our credit card being rejected. He was very demonstrative in emphasising that it was not him but the credit card machine that was not accepting our card. I ended up paying with cash which was no problem for us. It was just that the entire experience from first contact, the pathetic food, the pathetic service, and pathetic final contact made us wish we could go back in time and not have made the decision to eat there. Beware! Go to another Korean restaurant if you want good food and service! read more
