All of the brands that CFC carries, are all top-notch, quality brands. I appreciate that they believe in everything that they carry - you know you're getting something good and not junk just to sell junk. I did a bike fit with Larry several months ago, and I am overdue for a maintenance fit as I prep for a big race in the next few months. Larry is incredible to work with. Not only is he an amazing human being to begin with, he is full of knowledge and an excellent teacher who wants your participation and understanding in the bike fit that you're getting. I felt very comfortable asking all of the "stupid" questions, and working with him to figure out exactly what I needed to get a good fit. Whether you're new to riding, or just haven't ever taken the time to get a professional bike fitting, I would 100% recommend scheduling a fit with Larry to make sure that you are comfortable and getting the most out of your bike. He walked me through riding technique, pedal options, and how to properly line up my cleats and shoes. I recently purchased a new bike from Clever Fox, and Larry again spent another two hours making sure the bike was adjusted perfectly so it fit comfortably. After getting my first flat, I called Larry and he connected me with Carson, who helped me out even though the store was closed so I wouldn't miss a day of riding. I still didn't get a tracking number by Wednesday so I called again, they said the order was delayed because they didn't have one of the tires in stock...then, I got a tracking number. The tracking number said arriving Friday...it is now Friday and I have received a package. I opened this package up and it's just the tires...WHERE ARE MY FORKS?!?! The package was delayed BECAUSE OF THE TIRE!!!! I should've received the forks FIRST! As this was a 1 of 2 package...the tracking number was not provided for the forks. I called and the guy said he'd provide the tracking number right away....two hours went by and still no tracking. I decided to call again and he was making excuses for not sending the tracking. The status still said the forks weren't even processed for shipping and I asked if he could accommodate me by replacing one of the tires with a different color because it turned out that the shade of green that this tire was was not to my liking. I was asking him to send out a different color tire with the forks and a return label so I could send him the green one back, this was a MAJOR problem for him as he was acting like I was going to rip him off. I had spent over $600 in the past two weeks as a first time customer and he wouldn't help me with the tire...that was how I was treated over a $30 part when I spent over $600. He was saying it was my fault for choosing economy shipping but I only chose that because another employee said it would make a difference even if I chose the $50 extra shipping....so they lost my potential as a frequent returning customer. I should've received the forks first because it wouldn't have been a big deal to grab a different tire. These forks are specific for my frame and were $50 less with albes but now I wish I would've just ordered from source/sparkys to spend that extra $50 for better service. June 21st is tomorrow and it was my goal to have this bike put together by then, but albes has failed me. I've spent the last month collecting all these parts separately for my complete custom bike. There's no reason for lack of communication or for an order to not even enter transit until a WHOLE week later. Source/sparkys and eBay will be my go to vendors from now on, as for albes is dead to me.

When I contacted Alexander Samul the owner of the company he claimed he was not making enough money on the deal and I now needed to send him the money via zelle, cash app, or PayPal friends and family so he could avoid paying taxes and "keep it off the books" as he put it. What kind of legit business asks a complete stranger they've never met in person to send them 2800 dollars thru cash app to pay for a bike they've not even seen in person yet? He couldn't even stick to the agreement we made a mere 3 hours prior and canceled the invoice he sent me without telling me. This Owner of Detroit Moped Works lied to me and did not keep his word. He then tried to justify his lies by saying things change and we didn't have any type of legal agreement to purchase the bike. Where I come from a man's word means everything and this guy is giving small business's everywhere a bad name by not honoring the agreement we made. He then cried the blues about how he could barely keep the lights on and just needed to make payroll which seemed like a very odd and unprofessional thing to do for a business owner. I contacted him to purchase a bike not be his therapist. There was nothing complicated or personal about this transaction. I was trying to purchase a Bike from Detroit Moped Works a retail shop that sells bikes, mopeds, and scooters, why would that be so complicated for them. They tried to change their story later when I called them out on what they were doing by saying it was a personal transaction when clearly it was not. In fact the bike I was going to purchase is for sale inside his store Detroit moped works so why would it be a personal transaction. They sent me an invoice to pay for the bike that was from the company Detroit Moped Works, again not something that would indicate a personal transaction. The words "off the books" were his words not mine as you can see from screenshot below. If your intention was not to operate "off the books" then why would you say that and use those exact words? Sure sounds like the owner is lying yet again. They continued to lie about what happened by saying the invoice was revised, the invoice was not revised because I asked for an extra day, in fact it wasn't revised at all. It was cancelled altogether because the owner became upset and thru a temper tantrum because he said he wasn't making enough money. Cancelling an official invoice from the business and asking someone to cash app or zelle you personally so you can avoid the taxes and credit card fees is not what I call revising the invoice. This business says they operate with professionalism so why does the owner not show that same professionalism. The bigger question is why is the owner of Detroit Moped Works selling bikes from his own shop personally off the books? That does not sound like a legit business operating on the up and up to me. The invoice I received from him was from the company Detroit Moped Works. That would indicate it's NOT some type of personal transaction. I'll attach a copy of the invoice received from Detroit Moped Works to purchase the bike. I want to be very clear. This did NOT happen because of any type of miscommunication. The owner of Detroit Moped Works straight up lied to me and backed out of the deal we made because he was greedy and decided he wanted to make more money from the transaction.
