My family of 6 and I were very upset and concerned that the season was abruptly coming to an end in the second week in July. The Hull had several cracks and the prop/shaft were mangled. First I met the manager, Lenny then Henry. These guys were so accommodating and understanding of our horrible situation. They immediately got us a motel room since we were now stranded in Montauk and had no transportation. Next day they dove right into to repairing our vessel. They had our 41' boat repaired and back in the water in 3 weeks. No one could believe that they were able to save this short season for me and my family. These guys kept me abreast every step of the repairs. They really did great work and were very clean. My family and I are so thankful that we had Henry and Lenny to literally SAVE OUR SUMMER. Thanks UIHLEIN marina! You guys rock!

He helped my cousins learn how to operate a Jet Ski properly and he was incredibly helpful out on the water as well. The Jet Ski's were Yamaha Waverunners and for a 30 minute rental the price is not bad at all. Overall I'd definitely recommend and I can't wait to get out on the water again with Peconic Water Sports!!!

My friend, a yoga goddess, called this place magical. Maidstone Beach is an out of the way bay…read morebeach with its own little cove, secret nooks and crannies, a very long jetty that kids love to climb. There is something perfect about Maidstone, so visually sweet and grand at the same time. I love to take pictures there. During the summer season, you will find it crowded with tourists that have been coming out with their families since their families brought them as children. If they didn't park their SUVs on the beach, we wouldn't hate them so. Why magical? Let me count the ways... There's the perfect swimming conditions for small children because the water is calm, yet the boulders of the extremely long jetty are perfect for the active kids. A local fisherman's utopia, where flounder and snapper abound. A favorite spot for kayaking, boating or stand-up-paddleboarding, it even has a covered pavilion where you can have a bonefide party (reserve with the town first!). It has lots of picnic tables, barbecues and seating with a restroom near by, plus a view of the bay down one of the sandy paths. It's white and loamy, with lots of dunes. Be careful though with dogs in the dunes because the deer bring with them ticks, so check them often. The serene waters are filled with lots of crayfish for kids to keep occupied. If you have a dog, like I do, they love to cool down in the Maidstone tranquil waters. That's where I got my cockapoo to swim the first time, now I can't get her out. It's also a fantastic place to jog, as it is surrounded by an exactly one mile road that loops. But most of all, it's the summer sunsets. My son and I run there around 7 pm every day after dinner to catch the golden blasts that echo on the water's surface. It's a visual masterpiece, but you need to be nearer to the jetty to get the full effect. By then, we're usually the only two on the beach and we both realize just how lucky we are to be so close to heaven.

As soon as we started fishing the action began and lasted the rest of the day. My daughter and her boyfriend joined us as well and between the four of us we landed well over twenty bass. Captain Steve put us on the fish and the mate Bill was attentive and polite. Selecting a boat that was well appointed, roomy and comfortable was important to us and the November Rain fit the bill. A custom built 43' x 15' Lowel there was plenty of room for gear and seating was comfortable. We will definitely be looking to book another aboard the November Rain with Captain Steve

Some friends took her to Greenport to see about taking a boat tour. Captain Dave was there, doing something on the boat. Our friends asked about the tour, and he said they were closed that day, and that he had just come by to check on the boat. Our friends said that was too bad, since my mom had come up from North Carolina to visit and wanted to take a boat tour. Captain Dave smiled and said "Come aboard!" - and he took my mom and our friends on a tour, even though they were closed for the day. My mom said he was as friendly as could be, and told lots of great stories about the history of the area, and other interesting tales of the sea. So - I'm giving Greenport Electric Launch and Captain Dave five stars for taking such good care of my mom, and making her visit to Greenport special. Thanks so much!

Feeling that I'd pickled my guests with too many wine tastings, I googled "Peconic Bay boat ride." At $180 for 4 people, this private cruise didn't disappoint. David, our captain, was funny, knowledgeable, and clearly in love with the bay. The solar powered boat was a nice, easy ride, and all the talk of oysters made me hungry.
