While the lot is small, anyone can park here first come first served. No need to have a resident's beach pass or pay by the day. It is comparable in terms of appearance, surf, and sand to Cooper's Beach just down the road. The parking area backs up to the bay and had gorgeous views at sunset. Try coming here in the evening not to sun yourself but to watch the birds and glowing sunset! By then it is much easier to park, too...

If you don't, you'll be ticketed over and over again by the bay constable until you move your car, unlike other places in the city where you can remain parked once you get a ticket. So be warned! One really annoying thing is that people bring their dogs during off hours and some will bury their dogs waste in the sand instead of picking it up... If you're gonna own a dog... Own all of it, people!!! Still this beach has some awesome sand and great views of the ocean, amazing sunsets and equally beautiful full moon and stars view at night too! Multiple parking areas but one central area with spaces for bikes and electric cars and life guards and a hot and cold food shack with shower and bathroom facilities that was all rebuilt last year and looks beautiful.

As we were looking around have been in the store for about 15 minutes he was completely ignored. A gentlemen walks in and gets an immediate "hey how are ya" - fine I let it go. He tries on some clothes and at no point did he ever get a "hey can I help you find anything" or similar... instead we both were given dirty looks by a young gentleman on the floor and older woman at the register. We get to the register and carried out our purchase (No greeting until this point).. He's never felt immediate regret from purchasing clothing from a store until this experience. Giving the benefit of the doubt that hopefully this wasn't racial but please treat paying customers better..

The sand is really soft and there's a lot of big shells all over the beach. If you're looking for a quiet beach to relax and read, this is the perfect place for you. Highly recommended!

They had an icecream truck there the whole time. Only problem was again, the bathrooms were incredibly messy. The kids that run this place really need to stop lounging around all day and clean the bathroom once in awhile. Other than that it's pretty good.
