The concessions are typical they did have liquor available for sale as well as beer and wine food options we're okay. All I need is the popcorn. Iif you're here for an event you're sure to have a good time. They do offer suites for certain events. For the most part parking is usually free but it may be a fee right now not sure if that's all the time but have some cash on deck or I believe they accept cards as well. Have fun and enjoy life. :)

The interior is really clean, including a spotless lobby and spacious, clean bathrooms. Despite having cheaper student tickets, our seats were comfortable and provided a good view. The ushers were really friendly and helpful in guiding us to our seats. I recommend looking up parking information before you go. We were a bit confused, and later discovered there were closer parking options available.

Let me say we are BIG concert goers and visit many venues in Northern Virginia, Richmond Area and…read morethe Tidewater Area. With that said - this is a really decent venue. First the venue itself. After attending several events here in the past couple years, we have never seen an issue before. Staff and security have always been pleasant and helpful. The cleanliness of the grounds, facility and even the restrooms have always been kept well. Food & beverage prices are not the worst for a venue. Now as for my rating. I will easily give this location a 5 star rating. But I would be wrong if I didn't mention a real issue that occurred on May 3, 2024 - General Parking. Was just awful. As you can see from the picture you can see the entrance to the area my small Hyundai had to jump over. Someone put a tiny board to I guess "help" cars get up over the curb. Needless to say it was worthless. Now there is construction all over the area and I'm guess this is why they are making this area General Parking. Since I don't recall ever having an issue until now. So I didn't ding the facility on this, but my guess is the city of Portsmouth is mostly responsible for this issue. But it is a real problem. Also recommend that if you're going to a show during this early 2024 season that you see if parking is going to be a problem. I don't know how long this is going to last. Parking in this area quickly filled up - causing folks to double and triple park. So go early to get a spot and be prepared to tailgate for a little bit at the end of the night so you can move your vehicle out.

Well first off let me tell you from someone who came in on day 3 at the very end of the fest I had…read moreabsolutely no idea what I was walking into. I thought this must be an interesting event. I walked in about 30 min into the event and they had LED hula hoops, scarves with colors blowing, random hammock chairs, a town like horse bar, I mean there was a lot. When I mean a lot. .. there is a lot. The one thing you must know is first off its from what I gather a celebration of life, earth, music, spirit of human connection, and just a transcendental experience. Don't come in looking for a list of activities, you have to just be. People would flock in crowds from one spot to another there would be a mini performance, one tent had a wickedly awesome shadow puppet storytelling. At first glance I was mind blown at the intricacy of story and shadow. That was wildly sweet to look at! The food trucks were just 2 and I had the chicken platter and the food was good the baklava was melt in your mouth yummy. The grand finale took me away as there was a giant moon puppet and sun puppet, fish, a swirling lantern show, shadow imagery, it was sweet looking! Please come with an open mind I had to let go walk around, not ask Qs, and take it for what it was. The ladies that would walk song and dance were my favorite they would stop walking do some poses and continue walking in unison. The lantern head people were cool to check out, and the dancing routine in front of the bar with the fairies was in great spirit and energy! Can't wait to see more next year! BTW the band DJP & Mr T a local band played the crowd well at the end and selled merch near stage. I met the lead singer she was very sweet!

Their pricing was also perfect for our tight budget. We felt so lucky finding this gem. Eleise was wonderful. She always answered emails or made herself available when I wanted to visit the venue twice more after signing the contract. We had just under 50 guests, and the space worked beautifully for the romantic and intimate setting we wanted. We had an outdoor ceremony and used both the indoor and outdoor spaces for our cocktail hour and reception. The only thing I wish had been different was being allowed to set up a little bit the day before. I was told it wasn't permitted due to past negative experiences. We were able to rehearse our outdoor ceremony the day before, but didn't have access to the indoor space. Because of that, there was a lot to do on the wedding day, and my crew simply didn't have enough time to get everything done. That wasn't The Fred's fault, I should've delegated things a little better and asked for more help. Looking back, even a couple of hours the day before just to walk through the space with my planning team and place stickies around the place explaining my vision would have helped tremendously. Just something to consider when choosing your venue.
