Absolutely FANTASTIC massage experience here recently. My husband and I booked a 90-minute deep-tissue couples massage and had a wonderful experience. I agree with others that this place isn't a "spa" but really just a small office with a few massage rooms (the rooms were too small for us to be in the same room doing deep tissue-- which we were fine with). The quality of massage therapist is truly where Hampton Spa Tranquility shines. We were taken in for our appointment right away and as soon as our therapists started I could tell they knew what they were doing. Perfect pressure, not super strong/aggressive smelling oils or lotions, full body work and she checked in with me several times to entire the pressure was satisfactory. I wish this place was closer to the city, I'd go once a month! $130 for a 90 minute deep tissue. Can't be beat!! read more

I was able to get a last minute appointment. And since I had never been there before I really appreciated that. I was completely at ease when I walked in - a very calming environment. I was given a questionnaire asking various questions about what specific areas the masseuse should concentrate on as well as how deep a massage I preferred. She did a great job! Hampton Spa is located in a little cottage near the Quiogue / Westhampton Beach border. It's a Hampton's rustic vibe, not a Nassau County suburban location. A nice change out here, and much preferred. Relaxing & tranquil inside, the massage therapists are excellent, Sandy my favorite is the most well known in the West of the Canal area of the Hampton's. We requested 2 separate massages at 6PM on a Sunday evening & then 4 weeks later we went back for more ... on a Saturday evening at 6PM, no problem. The business is located right over the West Hamptonbeach border in a sweet little bungalow. If your looking for sleek surfaces, mirrors & high end tile, book elsewhere. I was in the single bed room for both of my appointments. The room, massage table, sheets and pillows were clean & fresh, the lotion was oh so light in fragrance and left my skin feeling wonderful. Soft wave music played in the background. Sandy put me in la la land for 60 minutes, addressing all of my problem areas. So I stopped in last Thursday to try to keep My back from becoming completely undone with the stress of the holidays. Seems like there was scheduling mix up, but they fit me in. Last time I was there, they finished massage with hot stones down spine. Was fantastic. I was a little disappointed when that didn't happen again. My fault for not requesting them in advance. Had therapist Anna. Quiet, and straight to work, and very strong. She was great. I have had 5 days back pain free. I can't remember last time That happened. Thank you for that. I did hint about the stones when leaving, they said was different therapist who was off that day. The building has seen better days. But I could see the effort into keeping it clean. My godsister and I were visiting The Hamptons for her birthday weekend. The customer service before arriving and assistance with scheduling was stellar. Very quick to respond and friendly. The service was great upon arriving as well. Both ladies (forgive me I forget their names) was very nice and friendly. The massage was just average for me. It wasn't the greatest but not bad either. Pretty standard. I used the restroom prior to undressing in the massage room and settling in for the massage. The bathroom was very unclean. It had webs with live spiders in them and a note to not put the toilet paper in the toilet. Excuse me!?! I've only seen that in a few foreign countries before. So that threw me off. The room was very minimal/basic. I could hear the cars zooming by on the street through my entire massage so not very relaxing. Facilities get a 1-2 star max. I'm giving the spa 3 stars because the staff was very kind. However, I wouldn't return for any type of service. Also, this is not a "spa" Its a house in the middle of nowhere turned "spa". Lastly, there was a cat meowing and roaming around towards the end of my massage. It was Black and looked sickly, not properly cared for. Something weird was going in with its tail. read more

I was desperately seeking a massage after a work week from hell. The commute was nearly 4 hours round trip, lifting boxes & didn't make the greatest footwear decision for all the standing around I'd done. Mid-week I started looking around for a massage on Groupon, but there were no availibilities for the later afternoon/ early evening. On Saturday afternoon, I jumped on Yelp & found this place. Read 1 review, called & they got me in the books for an hour later! I brought the boyfriend with & he had his own massage. My back was so messed up that Sandy had to do some work & then leave a heating pad on to return to the area later. She found all the nasties in my right shoulder & it feels completely different now! She used a "special oil" & hot rocks for the body as well. She went over the 1 hour & didn't charge extra, though I would've. We're both thrilled with the work provided & feel sooo much better! We had Carol & Sandy & plan to stick with our girls throughout the summer! read more

My husband and I went in for a couples massage after seeing their services advertised on groupon.com. They were very helpful when making the appointments over the phone and communication via e-mail. I was skeptical about this place because I had never heard of it before and the website didn't have any actual pictures of the spa. When we arrived, I was shocked to see that the spa is a small cottage / ranch house in an area that is mostly residential rather than commercial. When entering the house, it had a wonderful spa-like scent. The wood floors creaked under your feet and there was no one at the desk to greet you. After a few minutes, a woman came to the desk and gave us new customer cards to complete. They were the normal standard questions until we flipped to the backside to acknowledge that we were not receiving a sexual massage. I have never seen that on a customer card before! It made me think that we were in one of those "no tell massage parlors" that get busted for sexual acts. SUSPECT! I didn't really feel comfortable and was thinking about leaving but my hubby still wanted to stay for our couples treatment. He was booked for a deep tissue and I was booked for a hot stone massage. The couples room they led us to was so tiny! The beds were less than a foot apart, there was a tiny trailer type window in the room that was covered in white paper. You could hear every car on Montauk Highway. Despite the atmosphere, my husband loved his massage. He said she really worked out his tight muscles and stretched him out. I didn't enjoy mine as much because my hot stones didn't come out until about 30 minutes into my massage and his therapist kept bumping into me because there is not enough space between the beds. I don't think this is a place that I would ever go back to. Although they were very friendly, it just isn't a very professional place and it was hard to relax with the traffic noise and lack of room. read more

This is an amazing little place. Not luxurious looking by any means, but to start their waiver was really impressive - it enabled us to fully customize our massages, from listing the type of lifestyle you lead, to the parts you don't want them to touch, etc. I let them know I've been dealing with some eczema and she used oils to help soothe it and even gave me suggestions to try at home. This was the best massage I've ever gotten, hands down. I felt super comfortable because she definitely followed the information I put on the waiver, this wasn't just an autopilot "go through the motions" massage I've gotten at bigger companies. Sandy has a magic touch!! I used to have severe and chronic neck and lower back pains. I could not drive more than 30 mins because of the pains. I tried physical therapy and chiropractor. But it helped only temporarily. Sandy's massages were magic, she will do the research and focus on the area that really needs if you describe your pain and target area. you can customize your massage based on what your body needs. I was a little nervous after Sandy O's review but the tiny no sexual impropriety mention on the new customer form was nothing. Yes it is a "cottage" and yes you can hear the cars (Hampton Spa, you should play soothing music in each room to drown out the noise from the road and the hallway). I've had better massages and I've had worse, at more than double the price. For the Groupon price of $45 or the discount of $25 off any service currently offered, you really can't go wrong. Very reasonable for the Hamptons. I would gladly support a local business and go back. I wish them luck. read more

It was very hard to relax being that there were no candles, oil diffusers, or any type of dim lighting. They played classical music during the massage from a phone, which again, was distracting. I wrote on my paperwork that I wanted a very light massage and ended up leaving in pain, with swelling and bruising to follow the next day. I would never recommend this "spa" to anyone. They're prices are extremely disproportionate to what you get in the ambiance and massage. The one staff member I met was friendly, but that's all they have going for them. Don't let the name fool you, not Hamptons at all. It is a little shady this place. I should have known when I pulled into the dirt driveway. Not the cleanest. The worse massage. Couldn't wait for it to be over. All you hear is traffic noise. They make you fill out a form, and the therapist never even spoke a word to me by asking me about the areas I needed a massage in. I cannot even begin to compliment Sandy enough for the massage I received today. She was very friendly, comforting but worked out my back and legs like I've never had done before. I run, hike and ski a lot, so I definitely have tightness and pain in my legs, but I walked out of Hampton Spa feeling like I was reborn. My husband & I both recently went after I bought a coupon for this place on Groupon. We went on different days (have a toddler at home!) and had different therapists. We both really liked our massages. I would go as far to say that it is one of the best massages I have ever had!! My therapist definitely knew what she was doing. The place is small - "cottage" would be a fair description, and it is located right off montauk hwy. Yes, you can hear traffic and there was some issue w/ their music while I was there, but to me these were really minor things, especially considering my massage was great. The place is really clean and also smells really good right when you walk in - a definite plus! and from what I could tell there were at least 3 treatment rooms. Yes I did see the part on the questionnaire indicating that the massage was therapeutic and not sexual - but this didn't bother me at all. I bet more than a few therapists deal with jerks who expect more than a massage - and I think this is really for their benefit. Overall, I would absolutely go back. Sandy is excellent and really loosened up my tight shoulders/ neck that most massage therapists don't even try hard to work out the knots. The place is very deceiving from the outside and I have to admit I was very skeptical about going in. It's definitely a cottage but not very appealing at first sight. I was very nervous at the beginning of the massage and there wasn't any music playing in the room and this would have definitely put me more at ease. I could hear the traffic from the street and other movement in the place so music would have been beneficial to me. The 4 star rating is only because of the atmosphere, otherwise I'd have given Sandy a 5. read more

This is the ONLY place in The Hamptons that I will very highly recommend to anyone in need of a REAL massage. If you just want to be caressed and given a mediocre cookie cutter rub down for 10x the price you would normally pay (outside of The Hamptons), then this is NOT the place for you. I've been going to Lorena (who only works every other Saturday) since I was pregnant with my now 15mo old baby, and every time I've received an incredible massage. She is the first massage therapist in this state that I've gone back to (and I've tried several other spas all over Long Island). Not only does she find every knot and painful part of my body, she works on them until they are gone. She is truly the best and I am always disappointed when I go anywhere else because I can't seem to find anyone better (and I've stopped looking lol). The spa itself is very simple and no frills, but I'm not there to admire their decor, I'm there to get a massage! I read all the reviews before trying this place out, and I will admit, I was a little nervous! But after about 6 visits, and 6 incredible massages that literally took away my severe back and neck pain, I'm convinced that Lorena is THE BEST massage therapist on Long Island and I will continue to go to her at this cute little spa! read more
