There are a few positives worth mentioning. The leasing staff got us approved and moved in quickly, and during the move-in process they were friendly, helpful, and said all the right things.
Unfortunately, our experience after moving in has been extremely disappointing.
Over the past several months, I have repeatedly raised serious safety concerns regarding an adjacent apartment and other ongoing issues within the complex. We have been in communication with management since January about these concerns, yet I have continually felt that they were not treated with the urgency or seriousness they deserved.
The concerns have included individuals loitering and peeping Through apartment windows, suspected drug activity and drugs being found on the property, heavy foot traffic and people coming and going from the adjacent apartment at all hours of the night, and a general increase in activity that has caused my family to feel unsafe. These are not isolated incidents but ongoing issues that have been repeatedly reported.
Most recently, a resident reportedly threatened to "shoot up" the complex, resulting in police involvement. What has been particularly alarming is that, despite the seriousness of this incident, there has been no communication from management to residents regarding the situation, any actions taken, or measures being implemented to ensure resident safety. For families living in the community, this lack of communication has only added to the concern and uncertainty.
As a parent of a young child, safety is my highest priority. Instead of seeing meaningful action taken to address these concerns, communication has often been slow, and meaningful resolutions have been lacking. The situation has progressively worsened to the point that my family no longer feels comfortable remaining here.
What has been most frustrating is that despite months of documented communication regarding these safety concerns--and despite the conditions continuing to deteriorate--management is still requiring us to comply with a two-month notice period to terminate our lease rather than working with us to find a reasonable solution. Given the ongoing nature of these issues and the impact they have had on our family's sense of security, this response has been deeply disappointing.
I understand that no apartment community is perfect, and issues can arise anywhere. However, residents should be able to expect that legitimate safety concerns will be taken seriously, addressed promptly, and communicated transparently. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this complex to families or anyone who places a high value on responsive management, resident safety, and accountability. read more
