The safe is not bolted into anything just loose in the closet asked the front desk about and she stated that they do not bolt them to anything and anyone can take it. The pool is closed for the season it's 80 degrees outside beautiful day. Also, asked for housekeeping was told it had to be requested 24 hours prior. The soap holder is knee level in which I hit my knee twice. Reported to Shana Reported the breakfast the milk was rotten the spread was not your typical Hilton breakfast no fresh fruits. The variety was very disappointing. The lobby looks depressing not an inviting space. Was told that rooms are serviced everyday due to security don't as I have meds in the room. Called the front desk many times and busy Shannon's explanation is that when not on the front desk the portable doesn't work. Food flys in the room. Bathroom pretty dirty. The lamps full of dust and even webs. read more

I. Had a great stay. Got home and was charged $250 for smoking in the room. I didn't and I am having a difficult time disputing it.

I believe I stayed here before, but didn't write a review. My memory of it wasn't as good as my recent visit. I was very pleasantly surprised with the friendliness of the staff and conditions of the property. Located very close to downtown as well as the Winchester Farms dairy we were visiting. As a Diamond, I was offered a welcome gift. I usually take the Hilton Chocolate bar to bring home to my wife. The reception clerk offered me two since she wanted me to have one as well. They also provided a coupon for a free non alcoholic beverage or sweet good from their store. The rooms were very nice. Only 2 floors. Bed was comfortable. Room was clean. Good working area. Also 2 bottles of water plus a peppermint pattie was waiting. The fitness center is open 24/7 and located down the hall on the first floor from the elevators. It's quite small and only has 1 treadmill, elliptical and cycle as well as some free weights, but not enough space to really work out. Breakfast is very good with their Chobani smoothies as well as fresh cold pressed juices. They also rotate their hot egg breakfasts such as ham and cheese scramble with either bacon or sausage. The usual cold cereal, waffles, oatmeal and pastries you'd typically find at a Hampton Inn. When staying in the area, this is the place to be. read more

We had a several night stay working Winter Storm Shirley. Coming in after midnight I enjoyed talking to the night desk clerk, Jean, who patiently listened to our adventures in trying to pull generators up slick mountains. The complimentary breakfast was more varied than i've seen lately with good protein sources. Besides hard boiled eggs, sausage and egg biscuits that were very good. Different egg omelets every morning. Cereals, yogurt, milk, juices, coffee and fresh fruit. Later I learned there was an evening snack from 7pm to 9 pm, chicken fingers, vegetables, dip. I'm mentioning the food available, because it was helpful to us as we were able to take it with us as we worked to restore power to the cell towers. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Hotel was wonderful. We just stayed for one night while passing through, but it was a great experience coming from someone who travels monthly. Very clean. What a gem in Winchester! Lynn at the front desk was super sweet and attentive. The breakfast buffet was so yummy and the sweet woman who managed the buffet was wonderful! Came around to our tables as we were eating asking us if we needed anything. The rooms were super clean, plenty of fresh towels and linens. The microwave and fridge were a wonderful addition and were clean as well. There is DirectTV in each room, which was awesome because there was always something to watch. The pool was also very fun! There were no umbrellas by the pool (they had ordered them and weren't in yet) so not a lot of shade. That was the only negative of the stay. If you're looking for a nice, clean and friendly place to stay, Hampton Inn Winchester is the place for you! We will definitely be back. read more

We usually stay at Hampton Inns. We have never been disappointed. This one is absolutely the best we have stayed at. First of all, the people working here are so friendly and welcoming. Secondly, the rooms are immaculately clean. Next, it was so great finding the evening reception of hot appetizers, salad, and cheese and crackers. It was very much appreciated after a long day. We were tired and didn't want to go out searching for food. And last but not least, the breakfast was very good. Well maintained by a very friendly breakfast hostess. As a diamond club member, I stay at a lot of Hampton Inns, and this one is at the top! They have clean rooms, nice sized TV, and nice furniture. I like the hair by the bed for TV viewing. I stake all of my hotel reviews in the cleanliness of the bathroom and especially the shower grout, very clean! They have a managers meal at night from 7-9, just wish it was a little earlier. read more

This was definitely one of the best Hampton Inns we have stayed at. What really set it apart was how nice everyone was. The room was nice and clean, beds soo comfy. I normally struggle to fall asleep in other hotels but I felt right at home and slept wonderfully. We were sorry we missed out on the evening snacks but it's awesome they even do that. This Hampton Inn was awesome! Had made a reservation ahead of time but totally forgot about the 3pm check in and got there a few hours early. The staff was super helpful and got us into a room anyway. The pool was lovely, the rest of the facility was clean and beautiful and the staff was phenomenal. They also hosted a reception with a variety of food which was great after a long day of driving. I highly recommend this Hampton Inn. thank you to the entire staff for a really nice visit. read more

I always stay at Hilton hotels. Usually it's the more upscale (and expensive) hotels, but when I travel with my husband he prefers the more economical priced like Hampton hotel. I say all that to say this Hampton is the nicest I've ever visited. It felt like a more upscale hotel with evening snacks, plenty of plugs in the room, luxury linens and super clean. Breakfast was well presented and adequate. Very friendly staff too. It's not on our usual route, but would drive a bit to stay there again. Well done! read more

Stayed here 2 nights for business. I was working in Mt. Sterling, but the only chain hotel there was a Fairfield Inn (while I get Alaska Air points with Marriott I would rather get the Hilton points). Somewhat smaller room for a Hampton, but there was a chair / footrest and Micro / fridge (no desk). Nice LCD TV. The King bed was very comfortable. The exercise room had an elipticle machine and treadmill, as well as a universal gym. Small room, but nice TV there as well. Breakfast was the usual Hampton fare. In the evening they had a light meal available (chicken salad one night, meatballs the next, with carrots and ranch dip, cheese and crackers, and soup). Wireless Internet was flawless, and service great (I checked in at 1:30 due to a problem with the job I was on, and they had a room ready). read more

Great hotel friendly staff at the desk. 1 of the cleanest rooms I have ever stayed in in my life. If you ever have to stay in Winchester Kentucky this is the place. In the lobby they have a snack bar setup so I was greeted with a cup of coffee and cookies even in major 5 star hotels that I have stayed at I haven't been treated this well the staff acts as if they're really happy to have you here. Looking forward to breakfast in the morning I think next time I wanna get away I may just come here for weekend you don't have to leave but like I said before 1 of the cleanest and I mean cleanest hotel rooms I have ever stayed at Breakfast was OK limited in choices and flavor for that I am taking away 1 star its Kentucky its Winchester I at least expected gravy and biscuits the omelets has very processed cheese on them so that all I could taste but I guess you cant have it all VERY GOOD VERY CLEAN VERY FRIENDLY HOTEL read more

Honestly, for an inexpensive chain hotel, this place is terrific. The staff was very attentive. Room was attractive, clean and very new-looking. The food wasn't amazing, but, hey, it's free! We didn't partake of the evening food, but people were piling it on plates. (Damn Americans. They can be such pigs.) They even have good coffee available most times in the lobby. I don't usually throw around 5 stars, but for a place in the middle of nowhere, somebody is definitely paying attention to the details. Bravo! read more

Stopped overnight on a 1000 mile roadtrip (8 hours in). Louisville was booked due to the Derby....dohhhh! Kept driving through and found Hampton by random choice. Never know with random selections in unfamiliar territories late at night after driving all day :-). Very pleased with room. Nice 36"-40" flat screen. Looks like bathrooms are new/redone. King bed is comfy...and shades block out all light. No comped bottles of water (wife wanted me to add that), but def not deal-breaker for me. Very nice (and much needed) sleep. Got in about 11pm. Staff was very pleasant and check in was a breeze. Breakfast from 6-10. The place delivers as intended. ~$115/night. Would stay herd again for sure. Safe travels to you! read more

We come here once or twice a year to visit relatives. Each time the guest staff is pleasant, the room is clean, the beds comfy, the breakfast, while predictable is fresh and well tended and the workout room has everything you need.The only complaint I have about this hotel is the very loud Fox news blaring in the lobby at all hours, not everyone wants a little hate speech with their breakfast. read more
