Nice & clean, good breakfast, efficient check in, bed good pillows blahhh we would stay again in a heartbeat, good parking too

Hotel common areas and room was clean and inviting. Staff is friendly and courteous. Self-serve, complimentary breakfast has plenty of both hot and cold food items. The room was spacious, bed comfortable with multiple pillows, both firm and soft. Plenty of outlets for your electronic devices. AC/Heat unit worked very well and was not overly noisy. TV has plenty of channels. In-room coffee maker. Bathroom amenities were sufficient, water temp and pressure were excellent. I've never had a bad stay here or at any Hampton Inn and I'll stay here again next time I'm in the area. read more

I am on a cross country road-trip and staying at various Hotels along the way but I am most impressed at this Hampton for the staff's genuine welcoming, care, and friendliness. Also I noted the availability of feminine products in the lobby bathroom and think that is so thoughtful. Obviously I don't need them, haha, but a small things like that stands out. So thank you for your hospitality. read more

A very disappointing experience from beginning to end. I realize nothing can be open for Covid safety but nothing was reflected in price and I didn't see where we could even pick up a breakfast that was mentioned. Ice machine broken on our floor. One of our towels was dirty. When we got back to hotel after a long day in the sun; the key cards did not work and we had to go all the way to front desk again, dragging two tired children to get them reset. It did not feel like a Hampton. It felt like an Econo lodge. Normally I stay at the Clarkson Inn. I just waited too ping and they were booked. I won't make that mistake again. read more

Hampton Inn Potsdam is so clean, professional and reasonably priced. It's also the only hotel who gives free nail clippers (in the box)! Kathy the night auditor is the best, and the rest of the staff is friendly and their guests are taken care of! read more

Hampton Inn Potsdam - Hotels Near Me - Potsdam, New York

Great staff and clean hotel. The walls are thin I'm currently listening to the next rooms uninteresting conversation.

I had a four star experience at the Hampton Inn in Potsdam NY. The decorations were beautiful and the rooms were near and modern. However, I felt the stay was overpriced and I received a double charge on my credit card, which I had to call to remove. Potsdam has always been in dire need for another hotel, since the Clarkson Inn and other nearby hotels have inflated prices and are constantly booked, due to high demand and low supply. It used to be that any high school or college event instantly caused every possible place to stay to become booked within 20 miles. I am extremely happy that this hotel will at least allow the possibility of a place to stay during those times. However, this hotel is now the highest-priced place to stay, if not the second highest-priced. I have seen prices up to $180 for one night. I really hoped this location would bring down the price of staying in the area more affordable. Certainly those prices won't be able to stay like that during the summer months, and if they are not able to adapt then people will simply stay elsewhere. I feel that after the lodging businesses in the area adapt to the new 93 new rooms at this location, the price will level out at a reasonable range. I did receive a second charge to my credit card for two days after I checked out, and I had to call and ask for it to be removed. They are good about sending confirmation emails, so I was able to give my information easily. read more

This weekend I've ventured all the way up here to visit a family member. Although only checking in a few hours ago, they accommodated my early check in request and the room was ready on arrival. The manager at the front desk is an absolute sweetheart. So warm and welcoming, it was refreshing. Upon entering my room I noticed how immaculate it was, the cleanliness was amazing, and the fact they had sanitizing wipes in the room during this pandemic was honestly just great to see. The room itself is so spacious and cozy, honestly so satisfied with what I received and a great price point! Although we're in a pandemic I was informed they still have found a way to serve breakfast in the mornings, which is great that they adjusted to the new norm to accommodate their guests. I'm very excited to stay here over the course of this weekend and extremely happy with my choice to select this hotel. read more

You walk into the front desk smiling, and welcoming. They were more than accommodating! I asked for a few extra pillows and by the time we got up to our pristinely clean room, they had housekeeping there to give us the extra pillows. They had plenty of toiletries including makeup remover wipes!! Who has that?! I was so impressed! Neutrogena products also! They had a heated indoor pool, and outdoor smoking area with a beautiful fire pit, lounge furniture and BBQ grill. The breakfast they had was amazing also. Hot, make your own waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, oatmeal, etc. We will definitely be back to this establishment! It was the best hotel experience I've ever had. You don't find good customer service anymore and they have it here! read more

Hampton Inn Potsdam - Big room even with the couch pulled out! There's a giant king size bed behind the camera that you can't see! - Hotels Near Me - Potsdam, New York

A huge Thank you to Paul , Peggy , Ina and the rest of the staff of the Hampton Inn. After changing our reservations 10 times because we were waiting for our grandson to be born they were extremely understanding and helpful. The place is clean, nice , and the whole staff is friendly, breakfast is fresh and good. read more

I like staying here. It's always clean, plenty of parking, and it's in the middle of everything. Plenty of food places around. Friendly staff, and they have complimentary cookies. read more

Exceptional place, I've been staying here for several days on business for months now. Always clean, always friendly, besides one little hiccup which was my own fault. I originally booked the wrong room, when I arrived I had it corrected. Apparently they corrected the first night and the second night because I got a call about "getting my belongings out as soon as possible or they would do it for us". They were more concerned about pointing out it was my fault than fixing it. Ultimately they did and apologized but it was a little scary to get that call in the middle of working out of town when I thought it had been handled initially. But besides that I wouldn't stay anywhere else, even after the mishap. read more

Really great, and needed, addition to Potsdam. We recently stayed here during alumni weekend. About equidistant to downtown as SUNY campus is. Walk home after hitting the Maxfield's bar was not bad at all. Room was spacious - huge bathroom as well. Air conditioning worked great and kept the room very cool. Clean, brand new facility and very friendly staff! Will definitely book again next time we are in Potadam! read more

Probably the nicest place in town. VERY clean and friendly. Fresh cookies in the afternoons and decent breakfast in the AM. Would've been 4 stars except for the intermittently frustrating wifi connectivity. Connect and drop about every 30-90 seconds. Called front desk, no one knows where the router in my room is located, referred me to a 800#. Called them and they weren't able to help. 2 days without wifi is definitely a 1st world issue, but I was trying to get some work done while here checking out SUNY with my daughter. read more

woke up with eye completely swollen! slept on that side of my face now i have a bacterial infection! Spoke to front desk and they were NOT helpful!! so disappointed!! read more

Finally! A great hotel in Potsdam! We travel to Potsdam each winter for hockey, and it's always been a struggle to find a good hotel with good amenities at a reasonable cost. Our stay at the new Hampton was brilliant! A highlight was the excellent staff who made us all feel very welcomed & attended. Only downside for us hockey moms was the lack of hot tub, but otherwise I couldn't ask for more. Welcome to Potsdam, Hampton Inn!!! read more

Very welcoming, very clean, very well managed. I travel a lot for work and live M-F from different hotels, and my company prefers "cost wise" Hampton Inn or Hilton Inn. This is by far the best hotel from my companies preferred vendors. Breakfast in the morning "avoid the eggs" and pastries. Thanks for making my stay better every time. read more

We stayed here for 4 nights and while I already love Hampton Inn, this is one of the best. Great rooms, breakfast, workout room, pool. And the people are super nice and helpful. Shout out to the managers, Paul and Peggy and others for some extra help. I lost a necklace and they searched the rooms for it. It was found in a hallway and I got it back. If you need a place to stay while checking out the colleges, stay here. read more

Wow ! What a friendly and attentive team running this operation. From Kathy the evening night front desk associate to the day front desk manager . To the staff managing the breakfast area kudos what a fantastic job ! The inn was clean and updated , gorgeous I would say . The room was quite never a noise . Slept soundly . Would recommend staying here !! Again thanks to the staff that do a extraordinary job of running this operation. Don't miss out on the breakfast !! You won't be sorry . read more

Clean, welcoming and inviting! Arrived in the rain. Place was easy to find. Chocolate cookies and a coffee/tea bar set up was a nice touch.

Excellent on all levels! Asked for a late checkout and got it with no problem (12:30). Full breakfast, spotless rooms, and friendly staff. Will return. read more

Management is inept. Will watch guests via video and come and harass guests while sitting in hallway eating McDonald's. Do not stay here unless you want to have your every move watched and critiques. BTW this all happened well within quiet hours. Also, cleaning staff does not have rooms done in time for an on time check in. Poor management. I would give zero stars if allowed. read more

Very pleasant stay with friendly staff. This place is very new and my guest room still had the new building smell. So you can imagine it is very clean. There are fast food restaurants next door and across the street, along with grocery and dug stores within walking distance. I will definitely come back here. read more

clean. very clean. great room and staff. i love this hotel! see my review for Mama Lucias!

The only reason they lose a star is because of my upstairs neighbor. I think it may have been a wedding party or something, but they sounded like they were jumping up and down and running around up there until the wee hours. The front desk was polite and asked me if we wanted to move. I would have preferred it if THEY were asked to move. It's nice and clean and was a good stopping point for me while I visited the area. Breakfast was generous, front desk staff was professional, parking is safe, wi-fi worked, bed was comfortable, A/C worked, and all in all it was a really solid facility. Next time, I will ask for third floor, because I don't think the sound proofing between floors was considered when the building was designed. If I had not been checking out the next morning, I am sure the desk would have accommodated me in getting away from the people upstairs, but it wasn't necessary because I was checking out. I would certainly stay there again if I need to be in the area, but I'm guessing that this hotel fills in quickly, since it's the only decent accommodation in the area, so plan ahead! read more
