Great location! Was at a medical conference right across the street so I decided to stay a few nights rather than drive home in rush hour. Staff was incredibly friendly only thing was I was never asked if I was parking a car there upon check in. I had to read QR code signs in the parking lot, so I inquired at the desk and turns out it is $10 a day for parking GLAD I asked I wouldn't have appreciated a notice stuck to my windshield or a tow. Room was comfortable and the thermostat was spot on and immediate. Bathroom was fine until I took my first shower the first evening as much as I turned the tap it still dripped and dripped and dripped and even with a good size room and the television on I could still hear it and had to shut the bathroom door. I was exhausted and didn't want to wait around for maintenance, one shower later and the next day the drip was lighter. Let talk TELEVISION for a minute, when I would hit GUIDE it would bring me to a guide and when I found something to watch it would take you to a completely different channel, you want to watch the history channel and bam you get Telemundo. Even when you press in the numeric channel and select it, you get directed to yet another channel! It's like the 1990's channel surfing only with this cable it takes a few seconds for the channel to come up so prepare for a 15 minute adventure....i finally just left it on a channel and watched four Indiana Jones movies against my will just to have something to listen to, USB ports next to the bed(s) didn't work, breakfast was standard the second day they had smoked sausage like proper sausages not breakfast links and they were very good! Not a bad hotel, quiet location I would give it another shot.

When I checked in on Yelp I got a free drink from concierge! My coworkers stayed at more expensive hotels but didn't get free breakfast. I enjoyed great hot & cold options for breakfast every day. On days that I ate later the food had been refreshed and nothing had run out. Staff were on top of things. Hampton Inn is definitely staying at the top of my list for hospitality.

    Stains on mattress

Avoid at all costs - bed bugs!! I travel frequently for work and always conduct a thorough check of the bedding/mattress. The first room they gave me had hair and stains all over the sheets, as if the bedding had not been cleaned. The second room I received had this huge stain on one of the mattresses. As I was checking the state of the sheets, I saw a bed bug crawl across the bedding. I'm sure there were more that I couldn't see. I didn't want to risk bringing home an infestation so I left.

Well, I had high hopes for this hotel being that it is owned by Hilton. I was expecting the room to be clean, but boy was I wrong! There were blood stains or smears on the wall in the bathroom, blood droplets on the lampshade and ottoman...there were blonde hairs in the bedding and they are not mine, my hair is black...jet black. Also, there were hairs in the bathtub. The headboard also had stains on it...gross. At the price of $730 for 2 nights, I expected a better stay. The walls are thin so you can hear everything as well. Please do better. I'm a bit embarrassed to be called a Hilton Honors Member.

We had a horrible experience at the Hampton Inn Midtown. Situated next to St. Joseph's Hospital, Hampton offers a discounted rate for families of hospital patients. The small discount is certainly not worth the cramped rooms and the poor condition of the hotel. While we were there the fire alarms went off twice - the second time at 9:30pm and blared for 20 minutes. The faucet in the bathroom offered only lukewarm water. The rooms are spartan and furnished with outdated lamps and chairs. The equipment in the limited fitness room was also out of service. Not at all what we were counting on!

Came here during a quick one day trip. I have been staying at a few Hampton inns. Or Hilton properties. Place is easy to find, tucked away in downtown Phoenix. Plenty of parking space available. Was helped right away and the process was pretty seamless. Handed me a one sheet which covers most of the questions one may have. After getting my keys, the room seemed a bit smaller than other Hamptons and the bed didn't seem to be as big. It was comfortable as were the pillows. I slept in late so I wasn't able to partake in the breakfast or fitness club. I did peak into the fitness club, didnt notice any free weights, but saw there was some nice treadmills that looked new. All in all a good visit. Very quiet, kids were enjoying the pool but not loud. Was good location for the friends I needed to see. I plan on being back in December.

    Comfy bed!

Maydeline at the Spa was very helpful and very in touch with guest needs. One step ahead everytime. Colin really saved the day with making sure we had everything we needed. Brennan was also really helpful at breakfast and bringing us water all the way to the retreat pool. There was a minor hiccup with requesting ice while we were there but they did take care of it and apologized the next day for it not being done promptly, the acknowledgement was great and it really was such a minor thing. They have lots of activities everyday that are included and they also have experiences you can pay for.

The hotel is inspired by the colorful and folk art influenced works of renowned mid-century modern architect and designer Alexander "Sandro" Girard. The hotel's bio says he was the main source of inspiration for the design of the Andaz Scottsdale. The property is beautiful to walk around, with all the landscaping, flowers and trees; some of them are marked with what kind of plant they are. There are century plants and aloe and various cacti. The fitness center is located at the spa. It has windows which open up onto the pool, which is a more private pool than the main pool. The staff is outstanding. Savannah, who ran the front desk on my most recent visit, is absolutely amazing and really helped with any questions or small issues with my stay. The restaurant is wonderful for the hotel breakfast. I recommend having cocktails there too. You can see a beautiful sunset from the bar. I love the open design of this hotel resort because it makes you feel like you're in the countryside and you can admire the beautiful views of Camelback as you walk around the grounds and hear birds chirping. It's so relaxing. Parking is easy and you can usually find a spot right outside your casita room as the parking circles the hotel. Toiletries in the room smell so good! Lavender with sea salt. It's really like staying in a spa! One of my favorite experiences at this hotel was taking a late afternoon outdoor class at the spa/gym on the large lawn where we did stretching/light resistance training with the the sunset behind Camelback Mountain as the backdrop. It was glorious. I definitely recommend trying one of the classes or "experiences" if you stay here. Some of them you have to pay extra for, but a few of them are included with your room rate. At first glance the hotel interiors and architecture seem extremely simple and minimal, but then you realize it's actually all a piece of mid-century modern inspired art. It's really fun to walk around and admire all the understated design details at this hotel.

From the moment you walk through the main entrance, first thing is the size and ambience of the reception area, Starbucks and bar strikes you and you know you're not in a normal Marriot hotel. Front desk staff was fantastic, Liz had all our room, valet parking, Lounge access and welcome gift organised and made check in quick and simple. The rooms are large for a downtown hotel, it was almost a joke at how far you needed to walk tp get dressed or goto the bathroom. Wished these big rooms came with 2 sinks? Rooms have full sized fridge, pod style coffee machines with a box of coffee pods and teas. But thats not really needed as they have rooms that have access to a 24 hour Lounge that includes complimentary coffee, tea, waters, Pelegrino, fruit juices, snacks, sodas; and during happy hour, cheese and fruit platters and $ private bar. Breakfast is so impressive and held in the lounge, certain rooms come with free Lounge and Breakfast access, definitely worth the extra spend. Think about how much they charge for food, snacks and drinks? Parking is valet, nice and easy but small considering the side of the hotel and can get busy. Waiting wasnt long though as the parking is built into the hotel and not somewhere else. The Duster bar downstairs is a great place to hang and cheaper than buying it the event centers.... but service was so slow at 2/3rds full. They need more staff when theres a function, a game and a big concert all in the same night. Ill put this in at the bottom, this was rare occasion that I've purchased a hotel from Marriot with only a few days notice, the rate seemed low despite above mentioned things going on.
