She was so pleasant and professional. Wish I would have got her name. We found our selves in a 4th floor room at the end of the hall with great pillows and a comfortable king sized bed. I slept so well. The air conditioning allowed for a cool room and a nice hum to drown out my husband's snoring. The shade kept it so dark. Did I mention I slept so well?! Breakfast was great. Scrambled eggs were fresh and hot. Oatmeal had fresh toppings. I even liked that they had an open milk container so I didn't have to open one of those cardboard milk cartons for my oatmeal then throw out 3/4 of it. Cudos to the breakfast manager. Great stop!

I prepaid thru my airline membership page and while they offered to cancel, I would have to contact the site and go through a lengthy refund process AND find a different hotel this evening. I had to make 3 separate trips to get my heavy bags upstairs, while they said they could help, I didn't get the confirmation I needed to guarantee they could help carry stuff back when I plan on leaving early in the morning. I stayed in a Best Western in 2019 and it was the worst bed, worst hotel ever. I had wanted to try to avoid the brand however some of these reviews indicated things with the company had improved. I would say, just stay away from Best Westerns all together. So disppointed. The front staff, god bless them, they really shouldn't have to deal with this level of challenges! I was not the only disappointed person....

I want to start by saying that the housekeeping team deserves 5 stars all the way around…read more Everything was exceptionally clean throughout our entire stay, and it was obvious that the housekeeping staff takes great pride in their work. They were the highlight of our experience. Breakfast was also very good with plenty of options. My kids absolutely loved the waffles and the pancake maker, and it was nice to have a variety of choices available each morning. Unfortunately, there were several issues that prevented me from giving this hotel 5 stars. We stayed from Thursday through Monday, and the front desk staff consistently appeared disengaged. If they were not actively helping a guest, they were usually on their phones. We rarely received a smile, greeting, or even a simple acknowledgment when entering or leaving the property. Hospitality starts with customer service, and that was noticeably lacking during our stay. The most concerning example was during the night shift. On multiple occasions, two front desk employees were stretched out on the lobby sofas as if they were taking a nap. As a hotel General Manager myself, this would be considered unacceptable behavior and would result in corrective action. The front desk is the face of the hotel and should remain attentive and aware of guests and activity within the property. That lack of awareness became even more concerning on our last morning. An older male guest approached and spoke to my youngest child more than once when I was not standing directly beside her. The first interaction immediately gave me an uneasy feeling. Later, during breakfast, I observed him speaking to her again and asking where she lived. When I stepped around the corner, his reaction suggested he knew the interaction was inappropriate. I immediately removed my child from the situation. This experience reinforced my concern that the front desk staff was not paying attention to what was happening in common areas. Human trafficking and predators are very real concerns, and hotel staff play an important role in maintaining a safe environment. Front desk employees should be visible, alert, walking the lobby, making eye contact with guests, and remaining aware of suspicious behavior. Additionally, there was a wedding taking place on Saturday, and I witnessed the groom involved in a heated altercation with one of his groomsmen. I attempted to contact the front desk, but the phone in my room was not working. The hotel has a lot going for it, especially its cleanliness and breakfast offerings, but customer service, attentiveness, and guest safety need significant improvement. Housekeeping exceeded expectations, but the front desk team's lack of professionalism and awareness ultimately impacted our overall experience.

Rude staff, smelly building, very noisy and broken shower head…read more For starters, the clerk at the desk was not very friendly. I came up to check in and he just looked at me while he played on his phone for a few minutes, before eventually coming over to start the check in process. When he finally came over, he barely said anything and checking in felt very awkward. The whole building, including the room, had an off-putting smell. The rooms must have very thin walls, because it was extremely noisy the entire time as well. The shower head was broken. It just dribbled water out. You could change the settings, but that just sprayed water all over the place. The bath towels were comically small. I thought they were hand towels at first. I know that motels tend to have smaller towels, but these were really tiny. The only good aspects of this place were the location and comfortable beds. I've done a lot of traveling and I didn't have high expectations here, but this Days Inn was quite disappointing. It seems to have been partially remodeled since the last time I stayed here, but it's somehow gone downhill.

I was on the phone for about 30 minutes verifying 4 rooms, 2 of which HAD to be adjoining. when we arrived at 9:45 pm, the girl (who was the one I had talked to on the phone-it was her voice) told me we didn't get there early enough for adjoining rooms and she didn't have any. after many questions and talks with the group, I decided we could just squish into one room and stay there because we didn't want to load up and go somewhere else. so, I asked the girl to cancel that extra room, since she gave it away after verifying I would have it. she proceeded to tell me she could not cancel a room and I'd have to call the 1 800 choice number. after traveling all day, that was the straw that broke the camels back! I just gave up and said lets go to bed and deal with this tomorrow. The hotel itself was old and nasty. No elevators, stairs are old and carpet falling apart, an old falling down hotel on the same property as this one. The kicker was that our room had hair all over the bathroom floor, another in our group had public hair in the bathroom floor, and the last in our group had some one else's dirty PANTIES AND BRA in the bathroom. How can a cleaning crew miss dirty clothes?? We told the front desk all of this Information and all he said was, "I'm sorry." Do not stay here. All choice hotels re going downhill, but we didn't realize it is this bad. Stay at a Hilton or best western. Choice has gone downhill, and they don't even care.

That should have been my first warning. When we finally did get booked, no one told us that the pool was empty and unavailable which was one of the main reasons we chose to stop at this hotel in the first place. The room itself was awful. Our door didn't lock properly, which was a huge safety concern. Several lights didn't work, the bathroom door was broken, the A/C didn't work, and the room smelled terrible and clearly had not been cleaned well. The TV was so grainy it was difficult to watch, and there was only one pillow per person on a queen size bed. The worst part was the cleanliness. I showered, walked straight from the bathroom to the bed, and the bottoms of my freshly cleaned feet were BLACK from the floor. If we hadn't already paid and driven 12 hours that day, we would have immediately left and found somewhere else to stay. We were so uncomfortable and miserable that we ended up getting up at 4:00 a.m. just to leave. This wasn't simply an outdated hotel. There were serious cleanliness, maintenance, and safety issues. A room with a door that doesn't properly lock and A/C that doesn't work should not be rented to guests. I absolutely do not recommend staying here.

BEWARE SOLO FEMALE TRAVELERS - Overcharging, Misrepresentation, and Predatory Behavior…read more I feel compelled to share for the safety and awareness of fellow travelers. On 2/14/24 around 6pm I arrived after seeing high reviews on Google and booking.com. booking.com and the Super 8 website both listed the basic rooms at $55 per night. However, upon arriving at the hotel and requesting a room, the front desk employee informed me that the room rate would be $70 per night. Despite showing him the online listings for $55/night, the employee insisted he had no control over the pricing but offered a "discount" bringing the cost to $60/night. I agreed to expedite the check in process. I requested an itemized receipt which he was hesitant to provide, and when he did give me one I had been charged $61 instead of the $60 he said. I didn't complain because I just wanted to be done with the check in. He then pointed me to my room which was about as close to the check in desk as you could get. I left to grab my bag but something didn't feel right so I double-checked the Super 8 website which explicitly showed that there were $55/night rooms available at this location. I returned to the front desk and showed the employee the Super 8 website showing the $55 rate, at which point he claimed it was the member price and later stating it was due to an online discount, both of which turned out to be untrue. The combination of the employees shady evasive behavior and the location of the room he put me in made me incredibly uncomfortable and at this point I told him I no longer felt comfortable staying there and requested a refund. The employee then demanded the itemized receipt back, which I refused, before finally proceeding with the refund. On the refund receipt he put the reason for refund being "guest has problem with rate", when in actuality it was me having a problem with him lying. Nowhere on the Super 8 website, including under additional rate details, is there wording indicating that the rates displayed online are an "online only" rate or discount. The clerk also used other excuses as to why the rate he was charging me was different than the online rate - It wasn't until I returned to the front desk a second time (and after other excuses) that he told me it was an online discount. After leaving and checking the Super 8 website again, it became evident that he had likely booked me into the most expensive suite (listed at $70/night) without my consent and without telling me, despite requesting a basic room. He failed to disclose this upgrade and provided false information about the $55 rate, claiming it was a member price or due to an online discount, both of which were untrue. I believe he purposefully did this so that my room would be in close proximity to him. I STRONGLY urge that management look into this and that prospective guests, especially women traveling alone, look for lodging elsewhere. The employee in question has almond/honey skin-tone, a foreign accent, and a letter "J." inked on an inner forearm. The employee was not wearing a nametag and did not give me his name. I firmly believe this employee was preying on me. EDIT: The hotel continues to respond back saying that after I was quoted $70 and I showed the desk clerk the $55 online rate they informed me I could book the room online for that rate. That is absolutely untrue - the clerk used other excuses as to why the rate he was charging me was different than the online rate - It wasn't until I returned to the front desk a second time (and after other excuses) that he told me it was an online discount. I replied to the hotel that if they produce the surveillance/CCTV footage and I am mistaken, I will remove all of my negative reviews of this super 8. I hope they do because the footage will also show me avidly and clearly asking the clerk WHY he didn't tell me the online rate is if you book online only AT THE BEGINNING of this interaction when I showed him the rate on my phone.
