I successfully stayed at the Hampton Inn Nanuet in Nanuet, NY [260 W NY-59] from Friday, 03/13/26 through Sunday, 03/15/26. One of the biggest highlights of this stay was the convenience of the hotel's location. It's located near a great variety of restaurants, stores, and gas stations, making it easy to get around and access anything within a short distance. The room itself was spacious and very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and the amenities provided were excellent. All of these reasons added to the overall comfort of the stay. The front desk staff members were welcoming and friendly. I also appreciated the availability of snacks for purchase in the lobby. A bonus was the complimentary continental breakfast served daily from 6:00-10:00 AM, which was convenient and a great way to start the day. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience at Hampton Inn Nanuet. I would definitely recommend booking a stay here for a comfortable, convenient, and reasonably priced hotel experience. read more

Just needed a one nighter after attending show at Capitol theatre in Port Chester. Hampton Inn prices without Hampton Inn amenities. Stay at the Super 8 down the road for $80 less and you'll be good. $216 is a rip off. At check in I asked for a bottle of water which I've always gotten for free as a Hilton Honors guest. Was told it would be $2. I said I'd always gotten it free in past. Clerk said, *"That's only for silver or gold level members." COME ON! How cheap can you get? For $216 they should give EVERYONE a free bottle of water that costs them 50 cents. Room average. Reasonably clean. Bed comfy. Furnishing OK. Bathroom wallpaper peeling and faucets and seat in shower old. There was a laundry room on my floor. Was told about "free 24 hour coffee and tea" availability in lobby. Hot water for tea and all coffee empty. Only tea was boring Lipton. (HI usually has nice assortment of tea). No cups. Asked clerk if there were other teas and he said no. Did replace the cups. Vending machine area consisted of an out of service ATM machine, no vending machine. Breakfast meh. Coffee=brown hot water. Definitely not worth the expense. Lack of amenities and service would be expected at a discount hotel but not a Hampton Inn. read more

The breakfast and pool is great but the wallpaper was peeling and the bed was not that comfortable

Wasn't too bad overall - but it also wasn't great either. Stopped here for one night going to a ball game the next day and the first positive was that it is right off the highway coming into town. It can be kind of awkward to navigate into the parking lot depending which way you are traveling, but there is plenty of parking available. It looks like the outside is a newer look - or renovated, but the inside definitely has some wear and needs addressed. For example - alot of the doorways, corners of walls etc, were highly worn. To an untrained eye that might not matter and to be honest - I barely noticed, but I'm getting to why I am mentioning it here. Our room was fine at first - plenty of room with a king bed, chaise lounge, etc. However - while taking a shower, I noticed there was more algae in our shower head than Davey Jones Locker. Yikes. The bathroom really was unacceptable if I'm honest - but with the price point this spot gets the average rating. The breakfast was fine the next day - cheese omelettes, with the usual waffles, local donuts, and all the trimmings with liquids. read more

Ominous beginning when we drive right past it because every parking lot light and sign was out. Really creepy to pull in at 8pm with my two young kids and have to un-pack and walk into the hotel in total darkness. The desk clerk was very nice, asked her what was up with the lights and was told the manager was getting it fixed next week. Side note, the two drink coolers that were there for customers to purchase drinks, help a grand total of 4 bottles of water. Not a good look. The room was okay, not as clean as we expect from the normally great Hampton Inn franchise. The stay was quiet and uneventful. then, breakfast.. The juice machine was broken and the front desk had no water, so if you wanted a drink with breakfast it has to be Hot Tea or Coffee...I drink neither, nor do my 5 and 4 year olds..lol....No milk for the cereal and a very limted selection of food... Once again, not what you'd expect. Hopefuly they get what appears to be a management or ownership issue under control. Wont be stopping here again. read more

Once we jumped up we actually got videos and pictures of a few crawling in the bed. The room itself was not great. It felt dirty and dusty. There were splatters of something all over the tv, questionable spot on the chaise... our lamp was broken. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were small. The water pressure for the shower was awful. The biggest reason for even getting 3 stars was the breakfast. Good selection... waffles, eggs, bacon, potatoes, cereal, bagels, oatmeal, coffees and juices. Overall would not stay here again, it just happen to be one of the few hotels in our budget and close to our event. read more

We were in the area for work and honestly, this hotel didn't look like much from the outside. But hey, we just needed the basics as we were spending most of our time outside of the hotel. I do have to say that the highlight of this hotel is the service. The front desk folks on several occasions went above and beyond the call of duty more than I have seen at more upscale places. That, ladies and gentleman, make the world of a difference when you're away from home. The hotel is about 30-35 min away from the White Plains airport. Across the street about 1/4 mile from the hotel are the Shops at Nanuet that is an outdoor mall with a large movie theater. In the morning they have free breakfast and most of the guests take advantage of that amenity. We checked in quickly and got to our rooms which are decently sized. My quip with the space is that the rooms are muggy but if you blast the AC then it feels much better. Unfortunately the AC makes a loud bang every time it turns on but it didn't bother me much as I sleep through everything. They have a smallish gym that is 24 hours and key access only. Even though they only have 1 treadmill and 1 elliptical, I never had an issue trying to use it when I wanted. I guess the clientele here don't usually use the gym. They also have an indoor pool which doesn't seem to be frequently used either. There is a single laundry machine and dryer on the second floor and vending machines on the first floor. If you're a diamond member, you can get free soda and water from the front desk. Yet what made everything a great stay were the front desk people. They went out of their way to help us with things we needed and gave us great recommendations on where to eat. They were friendly and patient with all our requests which is unfortunately surprising. I wouldn't mind staying here again but they really need to fix the circulation in the rooms. Plenty of room to park and a short drive from the Palisades Center and wonderful restaurants in Nyack. read more

This is a tired hotel spent 3 nights but almost everything is a problem. 1st night our air conditioning did not work.spoke with front dest personnel 4 to me throughout the day..room was 76 degrees..same day while waiting for someone to look at the air problems the water was turned off for several hours without warning. finally our room was changed and the air still was not great..but what choice did we have?? when we returned from dinner the front desk person told us the HVAC guy showed up at 730 and fixed the air in a few minutes!!! I just want to relay our unsatisfactory stay at this hotel. We just stayed there for 3 nights booked 2 rooms and paid over $800 and the hotel was such a disappointment this time around. We are HH Honor members and we got nowhere when telling the staff our complaints. Their voicemail states "IF YOU ARE NOT SATISFIED WITH YOUR STAY YOU ARE NOT EXPECTED TO PAY! THAT'S 100% HAMPTON. WELL that didn't happen! They gave us 25% OFF 2 NIGHTS ON ONE ROOM ONLY (which amounts to about $40), NOT EVEN 25% OFF THE 6 NIGHTS WE PAID FOR. HERE are our complaints. From the time we checked in the ONE and only elevator was broken!! We were put on the 3rd floor and we are in our late 50's and 60's. We had to lug all of our own heavy suticases up 3 flights of floors in and out. They told us it would take one week to get someone in to fix the elevator!! Our room was suppose to be clean each day we were there they only came one day! The day they did clean there were crumbs still all over the desk and dust all over the TV stand like no one had wiped it down in weeks (SO MUCH FOR THEIR COVID STANDARDS THAT THEY RAVE ABOUT ON THEIR WEBSITE and HOW THEY KEEP EVERYTHING SO GERM FREE). My son's room smelt of mildew the entire 3 days. Our shower door jammed and wouldn't slide. There was no HOT COFFEE 24 hours a day as they STATE on their voicemail when you call for a reservation. You couldn't get coffee after breakfast was over which was served only from 6:30 - 9 am!! The food was very meager. There were eggs, potatoes and not much else to speak of daily. A very big sign stating to enjoy their hot homemade waffels but the machine didn't exist for waffels! The juice machine was broken. The pool had a sign "NOT IN USE" and was green! Guess they gave up on taking care of it. Front door was broken coming into the hotel. This was very disapointing since we always stay at Hilton Hotels and are very satisfied. We won't be going back to the Nanuet Hampton Inn and I suggest you find a different place to stay while visiting Rockland County. read more

I hate to give this hotel even 1 star. It is horrendous, first there is no climate control, our room was unbearably hot., had to change rooms at 11pm only to find that had the same problem and manager knew it. The second room was worse, hot, black mold in the bathroom, used soaps in the bathroom, dirty stained carpet, mattress from hell!! The hotel looked old and tired. It needs a whole new makeover. I should have looked at Yelp reviews before I booked because there were many just like mine. We were traveling for a funeral and didn't need this aggravation with the hotel. read more

I have been in Hampton Inn many times, I have been traveling a lot for work but this time was the worst experience ever. When I arrived at 9pm they gave me another room because the one that I reserved wasn't ready. At 00:030am the housecleaning was still vacuuming the rooms, making a lot of noise. In the morning the hairdryer wasn't working and I had to wait 25 minutes to have one. Just the worst service ever. read more

My friends and I had booked 3 rooms here for the labor day weekend due to going to the ren fair not too far away. we came in and we were met with someone at the front desk, she had an attitude right from the start. We had gotten to our room and one out of the 3 rooms weren't even cleaned. When we complained at the front desk she pretty much just told us it was our problem because the cleaning crew had already went home (we arrived at the hotel by 5pm). She gave us clean sheets and told us to make the beds ourselves and to put all the trash from the people before outside the door. When we went to put the sheets on the bed they weren't even clean. Walls are also thin. Heard a lady coughing all through out the night and screaming children slamming things shut. Was not impressed. read more

Breakfast was fine, staff were decent enough, air conditioning was TERRIBLE! Came for a family event, many other members of my extended family were also staying in the hotel. Between all of us, we occupied 7 rooms in this hotel, on different floors. The AC was extremely ineffective. The hallways were warm and humid, and the rooms were not much better. It was about 80-85 degrees outside during our stay. The AC units would not let you set the air lower than 66 (standard) but the room temperature would not actually get below 71 and it was awfully humid. My clothes were damp as I was packing up to leave, it was disgusting. We received a $50 discount on the rooms but I would not stay here again. Linens were clean, water pressure in the shower was not great, and toiletries were Neutrogena brand. read more

Despite the hour (~3am), we were pleasantly greeted and provided keys to the room I reserved in advance - top floor, King room. It was obvious that the rooms haven't been renovated in some time, which was still fine since the linens and bed looked fine. However, I immediately noticed cigarette smoke, even though it was a non-smoking hotel. There was also a loud repeated thumping, probably from something on the roof and then my neighbor thought it was a great hour to CRANK UP the TV. We called the front desk. He met us at another room which was actually an upgraded suite with a tub and shower on the second floor. No smoking smell. No extra noise. We were good. The tub panels were not secure on the outside and there was obvious signs of renovations needed, but besides that, it was fine. We used the small shower and went to bed. In the morning, breakfast was fine. When I went to the front desk in the morning and talked to the new guy (who was actually the one who made sure my reservation wouldn't be canceled when arriving at freaking 3am in the morning) I told him about my experience the night before. When I checked out, he gave me an EXTREMELY GENEROUS discount. I couldn't have been more pleased. Considering it was the day of my grandma's funeral, I wasn't feeling the highest of spirits, but this guy really made my day. I just wish I remembered his name, but he had a name tag that said he was the best, and he certainly was. read more

Checked in on a Saturday afternoon. We overheard a guest asking about the air conditioning and when it would be working again. The check in clerk didn't mention that there was no air conditioning when we checked in so we asked them about it. We were told that a electrician was at the hotel right then and it would most likely be fixed that evening. We were worried as it was literally 100° out. We went to the room. It was relatively cool so we thought we'd stay and hope it would be fixed soon. We went to dinner. We arrived back at the hotel around 9. The clerk said workers were still at the hotel working on getting the air conditioner running. Our room had gotten quite a bit warmer so we went to a Target and bought a $50 room fan (a Vornado since we couldn't open the window to use a cheaper window fan and the selection was limited) By the morning (another 100° day) it was very warm and uncomfortable in the room. We went down to the desk to ask what was going on. We were told that NO ONE had come out the day before to fix it. Apparently the desk clerks on Saturday were either lied to about what was going on and passed that misinformation on to us or they were flat out lying to us about repairs going on. We were told that someone was coming out Sunday afternoon but they didn't know if it would be fixed or not. It was the weekend before 4th of July and all of the local hotels were booked. We were in town for a wedding many hours away from home so we we had to find some place to go. By 10 AM, even with the fan, the room was over 85°. We checked out. The clerk was not apologetic or sympathetic at all. We ended up at a hotel 40 minutes away that was twice as expensive, $50 fan in tow. I really expected more from such a respected chain! They were not very nice about the situation and most likely lied to us to get us to stay on Saturday night. The temperatures in the room were not safe for the elderly or infirm (family members who were also staying at the same hotel had to leave the first night for health reasons). At no point did they offer to help us find another room at another hotel. I also find it odd that we had to ask about the air conditioning after overhearing another guest asking them about it vs them telling us of the situation at check in. It was all very sneaky and underhanded in retrospect. It is my fault for thinking Hilton employees wouldn't lie or mislead their customers but I won't make that mistake twice! read more

I stayed here recently with my wife for 3 nights over the long MLK holiday weekend. We arrived to the hotel at around 5 PM on a Friday evening and had no trouble with checkin. This Hampton Inn has a nice lobby and everything about it felt clean. Our room ended up having a king sized bed which was nice and there was ample space in both the room itself and the bathroom. The bed here was comfortable and I had no problems sleeping in it and nor did I ever hear any noise from our neighbors. The amenities here were nice too. Like all Hampton Inns this one has the standard continental breakfast buffet included in its price with the standard good Hilton selection of items like oatmeal, waffles, yogurt and a rotating heartier fare of your normal breakfast meats and eggs. They also had fruit sitting in the lobby at all times and in the evenings cookies were put out. The fitness center here was also nice although not necessarily big. The precor machines were newer and there was a single treadmill, elliptical and recumbent bike. This Hampton Inns only downside was that their pool was closed due to "public safety" as specified by a health inspectors note on the door. Since there was a Hilton Garden Inn right behind this Hampton Inn we were allowed to use their pool but declined to do so. The bottom line for me is that I would stay here again in the future. The staff was pleasant and the hotel was clean and we enjoyed everything it had to offer. read more

Very good breakfast buffet - aside from usual breads and cereals, they offered cheese omelettes, bacon and potatoes; even fruit toppings for make-your-own waffles. Some negatives though. Usually I have zero problems when I stay at the Hampton Inn in the past. This time, it was completely different. So when we got here upon checking in, our room keys did not work. A staff member walking by had to let us in. So we proceeded to put out things into our room and left the hotel. When we came back to the hotel, we were let into our rooms by a different staff member. Our room keys did not work again. The first time was a lady in the housekeeping dept who let us into our room. The second time was a engineer. So he asked for one of our room keys and told us that he would look into it and fix it. Well, we had to leave the hotel room to meet with with friends. Once we came back from dinner, our hotel room key again did not work. Our room was on the first floor, pass the pool to the left. Any how, no one was at the reception desk. I guess they had one person checking people in and helping people with room problems. So we weren't upset with that staff member. But it was really inconvenient for us to get back to the hotel at 10-1030 pm and wait in someone to let us into our room again. So during our entire trip so far and we are only staying one night, we weren't able to get into our rooms with the keys they provided us AT ALL. I was tired. I just wanted to take a shower and lay down. While waiting for someone to let us into our room for the third time, there were 4 other hotel guests. Some complained of the same problems that I had. The other ones complained that they didn't have towels or toilet paper in their rooms. When the front desk person came back, she apologized but I understood that she couldn't be in 5 at once. So I think they need to hire more staff at night and fix these key card issues. I was sure glad to check out in the morning! read more

There were so many issues, but I overlooked most due to covid as it is understandable that they were short staffed. However these two things I cold not. There was no hot water to shower and then two employees tried to tell me it was "somewhat warm" while telling each other how cold it was thinking I could not hear them. There was also a filthy sheet on the pull out sofa and no blanket. They could not fix the hot water so none of us could shower though we were freezing from the pool and there was not one blanket in the whole hotel I was told. I asked to switch rooms but we were told we could not even though the hotel was empty without an explanation as to why. So I had to pile my freezing family into the car and drive home in middle of night. I wrote corporate who had nothing much to say. I will never stay at a Hampton again. read more

Came here to go to a wedding nearby. The hotel would not allow an "early" check in at 2:15, with the wedding bus leaving at 3:15. The lady at the front desk kept putting me off, and whenever I would approach the counter for an update, she would ask me to wait and then disappear for 10-15 minutes. Eventually a different woman came to the front desk and checked me in to a different room (2 doubles instead of the king I booked), giving me and my girlfriend a whopping 15 minutes to get ready for the wedding, instead of the 90 minutes we had budgeted. The gf was NOT happy! If I'm in the area again, I will be staying at the Marriott Fairfield across the street. read more

Stayed over last night and was impressed when we came in the room we had a mini suite so it had a microwave, fridge freezer combo, sink, desk, dining table, king sized bed, TV, dresser, two ottomans, large closet and bathroom with a super tiny shower stall and a jetted tub. We didn't use the tub although it looked built for two. The vending machine didnt work by the elevator. The bed was AWFUL.. so uncomfortable (two twin beds pushed together with a King mattress on top) so sunken in and springy that my fiance even flipped the mattress to try and make it more comfortable. Luckily we only had to stay one night. Good for a stop, but wouldn't recommend staying here any longer than that. read more

I really love this hotel...is that weird? Especially since its just a Hampton This is and will continue to be my go to hotel for when I am in the area, which is atleast 3 times a month. So yes, I tend to stay at this hotel a bit. The staff has always been nice, and helpful. The hotel has always been clean, and the breakfast has always been great. I had to stay here for one night, on the tail end of a very very long trip back to NY from Buffalo. It was something like 2am and after 9 hours I was totally spent. Stopped by here on a whim and booked a room. They definitely gouged on the last minute reservation, but the hotel wasn't too bad. The bed was comfortable and the linens were quite nice. I basically stayed for about 7 hours so I can't comment on all the listed amenities, but for a good night's sleep, this place is fine. read more

Generally clean and comfy beds and staff was very accommodating , but a few things that I wasn't crazy about. The heater/AC in the room is a bit loud. There really is not a strong fan in bathroom to evacuate any smells (if you get my drift). Bring matches.:) Also just a note. My husband and I have stayed at the Nanuet Hampton Inn several times over the past several years with no complaints. However, the past 2 times we stayed within the last month have been extremely disappointing. We will NOT be staying here again. The hotel had a weird smell, the carpets are dirty, the lights in the handicapped parking spaces were burned out, there was a used towel hanging in the bathroom, the room did not look clean, the sheets on the bed did not fit. The room was cold and we were unable to change the temperature. When we called the front desk, they said the heat wouldn't be turned on until November 15th and to use an extra blanket! The breakfast left a lot to be desired--not the normal Hampton Inn breakfast. No waffles, no cereal, the juice machine was broken, the room was dark. Just eggs and bacon. The hotel is looking run down and in need of a makeover. The elevator has always been slow and somewhat scary to use as it seems like it could break at any moment. Overall, the hotel is a big disappointment. Find another hotel to stay in. read more

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The morning we checked out, a small glass item of ours broke on the floor. I went to the front desk to ask for a broom and dustpan, and they said housekeeping could give me one "later." I returned to the front desk again to ask for these items, and the employee said not to worry and that housekeeping would take care of it. That evening, I saw 2 charges on my debit for $250. The hotel had sent a receipt timed 1:19 pm with a charge for $250. I called the hotel and was told that I was charged because "the room was trashed" and "there was broken glass on the floor." I called Hilton Guest Assistance multiple times and the next day was able to talk to the Operations Manager, Erica. Erica had so many stories my head is spinning. The front desk person had told me housekeeping had gone in around 1:30, then Erica said it was "right after we left," then said it had to have been after 12. She and the front desk person said that the second charge for $250 was added because the cleaning fee is $500. No one had any explanation for why my card was charged again and I was never notified or sent an updated receipt. Erica accused me of staining the mattress and sheets. I made the beds and never saw the mattress , so I'm not sure what it looked like before. She of course had no before picture. She insisted I was accusing the hotel staff of trashing my room and accused me of "putting words into [her] mouth." When I asked her about the timing, she kept saying it didn't matter. Of course it matters! Who knows what could have happened after I left? Asking about timing is perfectly reasonable! I explained I was not accusing the hotel staff of trashing the room; all I knew was how I left it, and the story was odd and missing key evidentiary details. She finally sent a video that she claims shows that I damaged this particular room, but what is strange is that the video only shows the room from past the entryway. She was essentially asking me to prove my innocence, but I don't have access to the information I would need to prove my innocence! What I suspect, though of course I cannot prove it and am not accusing anyone in particular, is that someone saw that I paid with a debit card and used that vulnerability to charge me inappropriately. I wish i could give zero stars. There were numerous issues but i will only limit this to just one issue. I was in New York to attend a funeral and was woken up at 2 in the morning by blaring music coming from the room next door. I called the front desk and was told they would handle it. After 15 minutes the music did not stop and i got dressed and went down to the front desk to complain. The front desk clerk had the audacity to yell at me for being upset and told me he was handling it. I asked, rather sarcastically, if the newspaper he was reading was telling him how to handle it when he got more verbally abusive. I went outside and called the Hilton customer service department, which owns the Hampton Inn, and after 30 minutes on the phone with someone from India, was told to either live with it or move to another room. Hotel needs to upgrade the rooms and think about providing a little more quality at breakfast. Not the best Hampton I have been to recently.

Rooms were fairly clean. There was some spots where mildew was coming in or the walls were cracked a bit but nothing too crazy. Beds were clean and shower was clean enough. However at around 9 last night we got a call from the front desk asking if we could switch rooms because someone else had accidentally booked a room with one bed and they needed two. First of all - not sure why that was our problem. There was four of us in the room so we definitely could not switch to a room with just one bed. Second of all, it was already getting late at that point and we were all already in our pajamas and getting into bed. Other than that it was decent enough for a one night stay. read more
