Clean and reasonable room, great staff, good location . My only complaints was that the only well lit place in the room was the bathroom. Spent a couple nights...customer service was good, room seemed clean, air conditioning kept good temperature. Complimentary breakfast was typical hotel offering. Always a good time at the Hampton Inn! We arrived at 12:30 in the afternoon and they had no problem accommodating a early check in. The staff was of course friendly and offered us a few courtesy waters. Or room was spacious and super clean and the beds were over stuff with pillows and comfy as can be. I ran on the treadmill in their well equipped fitness center, bobbed around innthe warm clean pool, then off to bed. In.the morning I enjoyed a complimentary breakfast of eggs, toast and coffee but the spread was enormous including pancakes, waffles, omelets, bagels, juice, fruit, granola, cereal and a bunch ofvother stuff too!. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and I will definitely be back when I am performing in Midland next year!. Also, the hotel has pleanty of late night food options, shopping malls near by. read more

Not really much to say. I was in town for a conference and the beds are decent. Room is basic with a mini fridge that will freeze the core of the earth. Either than that check in staff was nice. Breakfast is your hotel breakfast powdered eggs and toast and waffles. I'd stay here again but wish Hilton had more options. read more

The only Hilton in town at this point. I have stayed here multiple times and it is a decent hotel. I was upgraded to a king room with a couch living area which was nice. You can walk to a coffee shop, Panera, and Old Chicago. Otherwise you have to drive everywhere else. The breakfast was hot but not my cup of tea so I stuck with yogurt and toast. Overall if you are staying in the Midland area and you want to stay at a Hilton this is it. I am sure I will be back at some point. read more

This place was great!! The best room configuration I've seen at a Hampton in a while. I had a room with a king bed and a couch. The shower had a basket for shampoo/conditioner and soap, AND a leg rest for ladies to put their leg on while shaving! Five stars for the proprietor that paid extra for that. Clean, friendly staff. This morning they had French toast sticks for breakfast, and I prefer more protein so I just got a hard boiled egg and a yogurt (my pandemic go to breakfast). The room had a fridge. I only stayed here one night, so didn't need a microwave. But they set up a microwave by the ice machine on my floor (maybe all floors?). I would definitely stay here again, but only on the first floor. My only complaint is the elevator smelled like fresh marijuana smoke all the time (the elevator is right by the side door). The smell stuck to my mask and clothes. Really gross, but I know weed is legal in Michigan. read more

Stayed there this past weekend and had an employee steal a large chunk of my money. They fired the girl and told the cop they recognize the problems but refused to refund me for the room (they never found my money) I was stranded 10 hrs from home...my children and I were stranded for 2 days and had to sleep in our car becauee they would not even refund my room. Whoever Kenny is apparently did not care, rhe manager was nice and wanted to help but she had to go by what the owner said...I've been staying at this hotel every cpl months for over 10 yrs and can't believe how this was all handled. Extremely disappointed in whoever Kenny is for not seeing how horrible that 48 hrs were for my children and I not knowing how we were gunna get home....this was supposed to be our spring break and it was ruined the 1st night read more

BE AWARE......I wouldn't stay here if you cherish your belongings our room you ordered. For starters me and my husband are platinum gold members with Hilton and travel a lot so we usually use Hiltons/ Hamptons and for the most part don't have to many issues but this was the finial straw. We ordered the king suite double room for my grandsons bday I called in advance to make sure since I booked this on line they guaranteed me that I was reserved for that room but when I arrived after they handed me a key to a double queen room, and said that my room is no longer available. Second time. This is happened to me at this hotel within a year. So I sucked it up since I came all the way from Florida and needed a room. So to make matters worse, my grandson received money for his 13th birthday he left it in the hotel room as I took him to school on Wednesday, October 12th 2022 I called the hotel to let them know to please have the house keeper just to leave it at the front desk they took my number down to have the manager call me and this didn't happen I called 3xs and keep getting the run around they pocketed my 13 year old grandsons money that was $129 in cash that he just received the night before at a party I had down in the lobby of this hotel. Plus one more BIG detail this whole place smells like pot / marijuana So if you don't mind your kids/grandkids smelling the POT marijuana and house keepers stealing this is the place for you to stay.. read more

This is a very clean and well ran Hampton inn. Got a 3rd floor room and the night time was quiet and I slept well. If hamptons would start using king sized pillows I would like the chain better but it's a small complaint. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the midland area read more

I've usually had good experiences with Hampton Inns, and they're my go-to for business travel. Their corporate clearly enforces the brand, but some locations are invariably better than others. This one was top notch. I had some misgivings when I drove up, as the building looks about 25 years old. They were completely misplaced. The lobby has the standard corporate look and it was on the small side, but there was plenty of room for the breakfast buffet. The room itself was immaculately clean and modern. They've probably done a complete remodel in the past five years (rooms/corridors/lobby). I opted out of maid service, and they left a little bag with extra shampoo and an extra hand towel on my door handle. It's wasn't necessary, but it was nice. read more

Because the H Hotel was completely booked, I ended up at the Hampton Inn a few miles away from downtown Midland. The front desk staff were cheerful and efficient, and the rooms were clean. I didn't try the complimentary breakfast, but I enjoyed snagging a few oranges in the evening for a late night snack. My company's VPN program didn't like the wireless internet connection, though, so I had to venture across the street to the Starbucks, located in the Borders at the mall, and later to Bennigan's, only steps away from the main entrance. If you're a neat freak, or have phobias about cleanliness, this place is for you! Stayed here on a Saturday night (St Patrick's Day) and expected there may be at least a few issues. There weren't any! We were in a room with a king bed on the 2nd floor next to the stairwell. It included a fridge, microwave, coffeemaker and a small bar sink. The room was immaculate! We couldn't even tell that anyone else had ever used the room! The "spa" bathroom was perfectly bright and clean. Not a hair or threat of mold anywhere. The furniture was modern and the bed was comfortable with perfectly white linens. There were plugs and usb outlets all over! Within a half hour, they called the room to ensure we were happy with everything. There is something for everyone at breakfast. The eating area is comfortable and monitored regularly. The hot foods were a good quality and there were great fresh fruit choices too including individually plastic wrapped apples. We paid about $108 for the room... it was well worth it! read more

My husband and I stayed at this hotel during a large family reunion. Our stay was fabulous. We were able to visit with families in the very cozy lounge. They served various and hot breakfast every day. Our room was very roomy and clean. Our bedspreads were clean for us. I was very happy to sit in a comfortable chair to read my book. After staying there for 6 days, we will be back because their services were very excellent at very reasonable price. Decent hotel as rooms were very large and there are only 3 hotels in Midland. Location is also excellent as it is walkable to panera, bennigans, and right across the street from buffalo wild wings and the mall. Unfortunately I came during reconstruction so the lobby was not too kind on the eyes and the gym currently consists of one treadmill and one elliptical along with power tools. If youre a fitness nut and working out while inhaling paint isnt a big deal, this might not matter much. The Marriott is brand new and the Holiday Inn even looks decent as it is next to the mall and connected to one of the only sports bars in Midland. Hopefully I am here long enough to see the finished product and bump this to 5 stars. Renovations are done. However, there is just nothing aesthetically pleasing about this hotel. read more

My go to Hilton Honors hotel in Midland. Friendliest staff around! The manager even wrote me a personalized not! How sweet?! Gym is small but the perfect size for the hotel. Pool area is clean and has a small closed in outdoor patio. Breakfast is good but there is a Panera right next door! I always grab my coffee from here. read more

Michigan sucks. There aren't many hotels to choose from in this area, so this was the default choice- average rates. We thought it would be cheap compared to what we are used to in WA but it was pretty much the same. Room was clean, staff was nice except the late night guy was a bit strange. Bed was great but our sheet didn't fit it. They had wireless internet but like most hotels it was very slow and took 3-4 hours to upload download some files for work. We didn't swim or use the fitness room as it was crawling with unattended children. read more

This is by far one of the cleanest and well managed Hampton Inn or any hotel for that matter that we have ever stayed at. Rooms are extremely clean; Mia and Andrea apparently care about their jobs and take pride in making sure the rooms are spotless and fresh. From the moment we walked in till we left five days later we saw nothing but employees who seem to enjoy their jobs and take pride in this hotel. The grounds outside are also clean and well maintained. The complimentary breakfast has a good variety; one day omelettes, one day scrambled, sausage or ham or bacon in rotation. Waffles, cereal, juices, milk, fruit and a variety of coffee. I prefer the Robust; it's very good. The rooms are well laid out. The "barn door" for the closet and bathroom is an outstanding idea. The message on the back you read when you slide it over the bathroom side was a pleasant surprise. (See attached photo) The only complaint I have is that we had to leave because our vacation has sadly come to an end. We will stay here again when we come back to Midland read more

Stayed here before and will stay here again. Great location to stay at if you have kids that want to swim. We always request a suite by the pool which makes it very convenient with swimmers. The staff is awesome, very professional and friendly. While the pool is a little older it is kept extremely clean. Rooms are all new and all comforts are thought of, all in excellent clean condition. The breakfast is great with lots of options for picky eaters. Coffee is good and always available. We had previously opted for the DoubleTree in Bay City, but the rooms there are small, and only offer two basic suites, and breakfast there is basically the same but they charge you $9-15 per person. This place is cheaper and includes the breakfast, as well as much better rooms. Would definitely recommend for families. read more

Spontaneous night away for my family of four (two under the age of four). We found Hampton after looking for a local place that has microwaves in the room (more useful than you can imagine with two small children). We chose a king room. It had microwave, fridge, and small kitchenette area. The kitchenette stood between a small living area with large flat screen tv and the bedroom (which had a door). The bedroom was large enough to hold a chaise lounge, beautiful comfortable king bed, floating night stands, desk/chair, and another large flat screen tv. It was very spacious. The bathroom only had a shower which we weren't sure of due to the two small children. The shower was large enough for us to easily step in and rinse off the kids from the pool. For the price of the room we were more than impressed. What got us even more than the clean large room was the staff. Every single person we encountered was pleasant and made sure to wish us a happy stay. Where does that even happen anymore in today's world?! Oh!! Did I mention all day coffee and complimentary fruit?? Yeah. There's that too. So when your spontaneous decision to take your small children to a hotel didn't necessarily include food, it's cool, Hampton's got you covered with fruit to snack on. When your two toddler children have run you ragged by 3 PM, it's cool, Hampton's got you covered with free flowing caffeine. The only downside, which isn't much of a downside, is the pool is relatively small. Big whoop since there was never more than six people in the pool. It was a clean pool and the main reason we went to a hotel. My kids were happy which in turn made us happy. Their stairwells even smelled good. For real. Have I died and gone to hotel heaven? My hopes are all Hampton's will be this amazing and if that's the case you'll never find us staying with another chain. read more

We had a totally miserable experience. Our first night they put our family of 5 in a suite with one king size bed and a couch bed.. When we booked we requested a suite with two rooms.. Also, the air conditioning only worked in the livingroom, so it was like an igloo in there and a sauna in the bedroom. The coffee maker brewed hot water all over the counter and started smoking and when we got here the pool was open but by morning it was empty and had a huge crack in it ( they put mats over it the night before).. All in all, I would say this place is a big craphole with totally incompetent staff.. We booked it for 10 days, but we are going to spend the rest of our time somewhere, anywhere else! read more

Just excellent. Stopped unexpectedly in the middle of an overnight drive with young kids. Arrived at almost midnight without reservation to friendly staff and spotless room (MUCH nicer than expected). They immediately pulled out bottled water and directed my husband where to park so we could get the kids to bed as soon as possible. Sweet handwritten welcome note in the room. Breakfast also very good - and they line up "to go" bags for business travelers. Very pleased. You won't regret staying here! read more

I've stayed at this hotel multiple times and each time I hope for more but they deliver the same. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable, but the bathrooms are in need of updating. The toiletries are standard, having just shampoo, conditioner, moisturizer. The fitness center is ok. Treadmill and elliptical. But not "gym quality". As for internet, I have VPN and it works fine. Plus there is a Panera next door if you like. The complimentary breakfast is the minimal that Hampton can offer. Other HI have fresh fruit for their waffles and more choices for cereal plus a multitude of juice choices. I travel constantly and I'm a H Hilton member so I will use this hotel every time.
