It's an oldie which I always…read moreenjoy because staying in the older motels from the 1950-60's reminds me of trips I took with my parents in that era. Everything seemed to be in good working order. The refrigerator was on the cold side and nearly froze my food but I'd rather have it be too cold then too warm. The price included refrigerator, microwave, hairdryer, but no coffee in the room. They do have it in the lobby though which is good enough for me. The bed was EXTREMELY comfortable. I didn't use the TV so I don't know how it is. There's a nice big desk if you want to do any paperwork, and free WiFi. Everything was relatively quiet the night I was here. And in spite of how old a motel it is I didn't pick up one single iota of smoke smell in my room. I don't know how they do it in a motel that dates back to the era when everyone smoked inside and that smell must have fused into carpets, linens and furniture. I would stay here again for all of the above reasons. The bad? Everything is really old. I know, I just said I liked that huh? But maybe not everyone would so I'm warning you. The furniture looks like early last century Goodwill. It would benefit greatly from some minor refinishing like a rub down with Old English Polish in the darker color. The decor is dark colors which I don't personally find appealing but everything appeared to be as clean as old things can get. The microwave looks like the first one I had in the early 1980s with a dial instead of push buttons and the side of it was popped out exposing the electrical innards so I hope I didn't get radiated. My coffee tasted kind of funny after I heated it. The dial was sticky. When I went to use the microwave it didn't turn on and I discovered it wasn't plugged in and the plug barely reached the outlet. I had to scoot the microwave over to gain the extra inch it needed to plug it in. The stickiness on the dial came right off when I wiped it with a wet washcloth so they just need to remember to look for that when they clean the room. I was too warm in the room when I was trying to fall asleep and then it was chilly by morning. Neither was bad enough to make for bad sleep. There is a thermostat on the wall but I don't know if it works as I didn't hear anything humming into action when I adjusted the lever on it. The linens are also quite old, thin, fraying, and off-white but were definitely clean and smelled good. Would I recommend this place? If you're like me, just looking for a cheap place to sleep that's clean and safe, this place fits the bill! If you're looking for a resort, go find a place that costs 3 or 4 times as much.

They are slightly different, but in my humble opinion they also have a lot of good things in common with each other. Some of the things that stood out about the Delta Motel however were the fact that they do offer very comfortable king sized bed rooms available, some of the rooms even had beautiful REAL WOOD tongue and groove looking wood panels and their wi-fi worked really nice, which is always a huge bonus when we're staying at a hotel or motel. These guys really focus on hospitality with their customers.

They apparently have smaller conference rooms too, but I've only been in the ballrooms that are divisible into meeting spaces. At least one room features wedding-cake type stairs with wrought iron railings in the corner - perfect for a bridal picture. It is a little odd sitting in a business meeting under chandeliers. They have wireless, which is convenient if you need to hit your email during your meeting. Locals come for the lunch buffet, served M-F from 11-2. It's a good deal if you eat meat; the three entrees both days included meat, meat, and a carb that didn't look worth the effort eating (one day gluey-looking pasta alfredo, the other day some sort of dosed rice). The menu refers to a "vegetable and starch accompaniment." So basically the vegetarian hit the salad bar (there are two; one iceberg lettuce, one mixed fresh greens, various mayonnaise or vinaigrette salads; the usual fixings). The desserts are worthy of note and lethal - very rich and good.

The Bavarian Inn Lodge has plenty, plenty, plenty to do for the whole family! If you have kids,…read morethey will absolutely love this place. There are multiple pools, including an adults-only pool for those looking to relax, a fun indoor waterpark, an arcade packed with games, a sweets shop, several restaurants, and even a ferry ride nearby. There's so much to do that it's easy to spend an entire weekend without running out of activities. Whether you're looking for a family getaway or just a relaxing weekend, the Bavarian Inn Lodge offers something for everyone. We had a great time. They also have an area that you can walk to and watch the Peacocks. As far as the rooms, they are okay. The restroom is tight, with the toilets sitting inches from the shower. Rooms are spacious but smelled a little musky. Luckily, we were able to open up the window. Once we did that it smelled a little better. I think it may be from folks walking around wet and dripping on the carpet.

UPDATE: 6/26 - My child developed DOUBLE pink-eye after visiting this water park!!!…read more To the manager that replied: Yes, I spoke to two different ladies. the first young lady was the one giggling and laughing and asking about beer orders. The second time I called, I ASKED to speak to a manager and was switched over, so of course she didn't hear the laughter or giggling I heard. The trip started off fairly well, until around dinner time! We waited over an hour and 15 minutes for dinner after the automated system said 20-40 minutes. When I did call, I was met with laughter on the other line and was told, "we're understaffed - but are you the room that ordered all the beer?" "Nope. Definitely not. We have kids in tow and we do not drink. Me and my family are STILL waiting for food..." To which she laughed again, said they were understaffed and claimed the young lady hauling food was on the floor and would be "right there". 15 minutes later, I called again and they removed the food from our bill - which I appreciated, but also hated having to ask for - AGAIN. Also, asking me about an 'order' because the staff was already taking too long seemed borderline inappropriate. That being said, my kiddos are both 7, one chose this waterpark as her birthday venue, and everyone had a fun time. (It's a tad frustrating that check-in is so late and in order to get INTO the water park, with the most slides that is, you had to pay extra. So, anyone who pays for just the park gets in earlier technically. Which again, is a tad annoying. You pay more to stay and then pay even more to play. The lazy river, the family raft ride and the outside hot tub were their favorites to play around in a there are a few inside we didn't even check out. The breakfast/dinner/game time coupons and cards were all pretty nifty and we used every single one of them. It is a bit misleading that the place to enjoy dinner is the 'Bavarian Inn Restaurant' and is not attached to the hotel in any way and says it closes at 8:00. We booked it there to arrive in time for a dinner only to see them seating people at 8:55. All of our issues revolved around meals/food, and younger staff members just joking around when you try to ask questions, but overall - my kiddos had a great time and that was the goal.

The reception area was quite large, but had a strange L shape to the back of the room. Plenty of room for the food set up and dancing area. A large playground for kids to play on, a big parking lot. The whole hall area is hardwood so you can make the dance floor as large as you would like. The inside has very tall ceilings with cool looking rafters. The kitchen and serving room, can be blocked off with sliding doors, and the bar area is a nice escape from the music in the hall. Three bathrooms, including a handicap bathroom which was great for my wife to get help with her dress. The people that run the hall were very nice and more than willing to let us tour the hall several times before the wedding. We had a full DJ on the stage, and he had easy access to the stage via the front door. The front door also made a great first entrance. Lots of room, lots of chairs and tables, we even had chairs outside for guests to enjoy the nice weather under the large overhang. This year we two of our friends are getting married and they live about a half hour away and decided to have the reception at the same hall. I highly recommend it. Pros: -Located in a quiet small town, beautiful sunset over the field. -Great outdoor Playground for the kids -Large overhang porch for overflow of people -Largest Dance floor in the area (the main section of the hall has all Hardwood Flooring) -Stage, with easy access to doors. -Large Bar -Full Kitchen -Seperate Area for food staging -Beautiful old building, really neat rafter structure. -No Ramps needed, all on ground level -Welcome Desk -More tables than needed -Hanging racks for coats Cons: -Drop Ceiling in Bar -No Low lighting in the Bar, but we placed our own uplighting
