Very nice non-chain motel. The room was basic--bed, table & chairs, fridge...and even a couple of local photos on the wall. The staff members were uniformly friendly. They served a small continental breakfast which you could eat at the tables in the motel office or take back to your room. Jennifer is an incredible asset to this business & I return year after year to this lovely location because of her & the cleanliness of this quaint motel! Emma was my housekeeper & she keeps the room which have been updated spotless. I feel safe & it's within walking distance. A military museum is across the street. It's very safe & quiet!! Plenty of parking right outside your door. Handicap accessible, etc. ice machine & frig & microwave with comfortable desk, beds & plenty of pillows! My pet peeve is I never have enough pillows & this are new & clean & both hard & soft are provided. They have AAA discount & you can not find a better value & a very nice continental breakfast with boiled eggs & yogurt & choice of juices & other items are included with a breakfast area. Great motel with a super location. We stayed here for the annual Volkslauff (race weekend). We chose the motel for the location and price. The staff both days could not have been any nicer! They served a good continental breakfast in the morning at the office that was included in the price. Standard fair with bagels, muffins, yogurt, hard cooked eggs, oatmeal and assorted beverages. The motel was nostalgic of roadside motels of yesteryear. This one is well maintained inside and out. Room - we had two queen sized beds. We found the room spacious with modern amenities - microwave and good sized fridge. The vanity area was able to be separated from the sleeping area. Nice table and padded chairs too. We found the queen beds quite comfortable. Outside - each room was flanked by an outdoor chair. Several picnics tables were situated in the green space around the motel as well as some benches. In the evening people sat outside and we played cards at a picnic table. We were able to see the fireworks from in front of the motel. Location - it was an easy and nice walk to the park or into town, less than a mile. Residential streets and lots of shade. If you're in Frankenmuth and want a fun place to stay you can't go wrong with the Frankenmuth Motel! We'll be back. read more

A classic motel done in spectacular fashion. There are a lot of rooms here. My room was fantastic. It was super clean and brilliantly bright. I suspect it has been freshly painted in the last year. The bed was very comfy with plenty of blankets. I enjoyed the art in the rooms and appreciate the decent size fridge and the microwave. The furniture was all nice. I like the shampoo and body wash dispensers in the shower, a good idea. Also I'm over 6ft tall and the showerhead is actually high enough for me! Not a coffee drinker, but there's a machine with a couple of refills and plenty of cups. The blackout curtains worked well. The sound levels were excellent, I only occasionally heard noises, and that was all outside. I really like how the motel is within walking distance of downtown and it's a pleasant walk. The staff was very pleasant and stated if I needed anything to just ask. Overall I love this motel! An easy 5 star Motel. Would I return,? Absolutely, this is my hotel of choice for Frankenmuth. read more

We stayed in Room 25 on 10/12/2023; $119.77 for the night. The room had coffee, fridge microwave. They even supply an amenities card! The room was a mix of vintage and modern...marble windowsill. Pillows of two different firmness - wow. The beds were firm but soft, and there was also a USB hub under the bed lamp. The shower had great pressure annd temperature and the tub drained well. This quaint little motel is very conveniently located. Just down the road from Bronners and around the corner from downtown. Small but cozy, my room was clean and the cable worked just fine. You could say the room was very welcoming. Checking in was super simple and nothing fancy. A pleasant young man behind the desk seemed to have all the answers to everything Frankenmuth. It's nice to have a resource like that at your disposal. We even had one of the room preparers stop and ask if we needed anything extra. Um, yes...MORE COFFEE???? She laughed and obliged. Keep in mind this is a little Bavaria/Christmas driven town. January is very off-peak and yet this was still a comfortable stay with no complications. A CRAZY PERK: Here's one for me. I have always loved a hot shower with the window cracked in the dead of winter (even late fall). Most hotels we go to either have no window or have one you can't open. All the rooms at Frankenmuth Motel have bathroom windows you can open or elect to keep closed. I enjoyed a deer strolling through the woods while washing my hair. How often can you experience that? You won't find an iron or board here. We were actually surprised there was a refrigerator and big screen t.v. They also have a complimentary breakfast after 8:00am. Unfortunately, we had to drive north before breakfast was served or I'd have rated that, too I was very pleased with my stay and will definitely return to this lodge. All in all, the reasonable cost combined with the location and the friendly staff make this a winner. read more

this is a good motel, clean, and in a good location. The reason for 1 star rating is the terrible experience I had yesterday, checking in with the motel clerk, a person by the name of Alissa. When I originally booked a room with the Frankenmuth Motel with Jennifer , I mentioned, I may need an early check in as I was traveling, cross-country on a motorcycle. She said no problem and made a note of it. Then yesterday I called the motel and communicated to Alissa that I would need an early check in. She said she would have to check with housekeeping. Then yesterday when I arrived she acted surprised & said " early check-in's not possible come back in 2 1/2 hours" I replied but it's raining, I'll take the first room that's available and could she please check with housekeeping. she said " no, she couldn't check with them & had no idea when my room would be ready" I said ,boy, you're really putting me in a bind, and she had the audacity to reply "have a good day" ‼‼ Very mean spirited & you could r tell she enjoyed ruining my day. As I walk back to my motorcycle, I noticed a housekeeper pushing a cart (who turned out to be the motel manager) and I explained my dilemma to him. He fixed the issue in less than 5 minutes by switching rooms and letting me have one that was just cleaned. It Alissa could have done exactly the same thing but chose not to......a simple act of kindness , professionalism and good customer service. She needs to be retrained on basic good customer service and profession etiquette. Alissa cost the Frankenmuth Motel a 4 or 5 star rating because of her previously described behavior. Stayed just one night (thank God). I don't mind it being dated but OMG... spiders galore. I felt something crawling on my leg and looked under the sheets and about died HUGE spider. Got it killed, laid down and then there was a damn spider on the ceiling. Got little sleep../ go to take a shower and there was a spider in the shower came out and was greeted by a spider. Good God!!! Then when I told the staff they were like ok we'll let the pest guy know. Like NO! Call someone now. One spider ok... four, plus in less than 24hours. That's an issue. read more

This little motel is not on Main St, but is close, and is cheaper than the hotels which are. It is on the same street as Bronner's Christmas Wonderland, and Michigan's Own Military and Space Museum. This is an older motel, but seems to be well taken care of. When we checked in the lady at the front desk, who I believed was named Jenny, was polite and professional. When I got to our room I tried to turn on the TV. The light on the remote did not illuminate when the buttons were pushed, and the TV did not come on. I called the front desk, and told Jenny the TV would not work. She immediately came to the room and tried to fix the problem. She went back to the office and got new batteries for the remote. She tried the TV, which powered on, but would not connect and receive channels. She was apologetic, and said that she could move us to another room. She showed us to a new room, unlocked the door for us, and even offered to help us carry our luggage to the new room (I told her I would handle it, but I did appreciate her offer and attitude). She then went back to the office, programmed key cards for the new room and started walking back to the room to deliver them to us. I met her half way, and she thanked me for doing that. The rooms were clean and looked nice. During our stay we used the in room fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. All worked very well. The Continental breakfast was basic, bread for toast, bagels, pastries, boiled eggs, yogurt, coffee, tea, and juices. There were jellies, butter, and cream cheese. We enjoyed what we had, and got out to see the sites of Frankenmuth. If you are looking for a nice place to stay, and not break the bank, we would highly recommend the Frankenmuth Motel. We did have the TV issue, but the way the employee handled it, and the good attitude she showed made all the difference. read more

Great place! We had the room with three beds (#74) and it worked out great for us. Huge room on the end! The staff was super nice and helpful with any information you need in regards to Frankenmuth. Nice breakfast, I don't like to eat too much in the morning so it worked. Didn't see any bugs in the room like previous complaints posted so it appears they took care of that problem. But as far as bugs go, this town is surrounded by farm land, there might be a bug in your room and it's not the end of the world! Again, loved the place and we will stay here again in the future. read more

Can't give a straight answer on whether they charge a security or incidentals hold. We were unable to book here because we only have a debit card and can't have a surprise fee added to the cost. My family stays at the Frankenmuth Motel at least twice a year and we always have a great stay. The rooms are clean, you are close to town, and you can walk to Bronner's. They offer a continental breakfast that includes bagels and cream cheese, toast, yogurt, muffins, and hard boiled eggs. Very clean room with mini frig, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker. The wheelchair accessible room was roomie enough for my wheelchair to get between the two bed, and the bathroom had every need met with a roll in shower, shower chair, hand rails in the shower and toilet area. The sink was easy to roll under so that I could reach the water valves easily. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. There were water marks on the faucet, sticky cup stains on the night stand and crumbs on the table. The sheets had these tiny pebbles on them too but they smelled clean at least. Our shampoo bottle had clearly been used by someone else. Felt like I had to wear shoes in the room. Just gross. The wireless wasn't great. Showed we had bars but barely worked. Continental breakfast was ok. No lids for the coffee cups though which I thought was odd. The location is good, the room clean enough,but there was such a strong musty odor in the room that we found another place for the second night. The sink did not drain either. My goal with my trip to Frankenmuth Trip was to attend a dog competition. Frankenmuth Motel fit our needs. Clean room with a bed and the ability to park in front of our room. I would have gave five stars, but they do not provide a coffee maker in the room and the office does not serve the included continental breakfast till 7am. The coffee was not the best. I don't like staying inside a room while I am on trip so, it's just a place to rest my head at night and Frankenmuth Motel does this almost perfectly and I had zero issues. With almost a majority of the people staying there having dogs, I was shocked how good they all were and how quiet everything was. Slept peacefully as well as my dogs which are very reactive to other dogs barking. Staff, I only met one at check in. She was not overly welcoming. But I was not expecting much. She was not rude by any means. We did check in later in the day, so she may have just run out of steam for the day. There would have been many people checking in that day. We have stayed here for 30 years but new management has ruined this hotel. Cockroach in the bathroom! Called and man came with a tiny spray can to spray the spot it cane out of. Asked for manager, was told he was on "vacation" and not there all weekend. No compensation offered and noone seemed to care. **Motorcycle friendly** We rode our motorcycles across state and stayed here for two nights. This hotel is VERY motorcycle friendly, even allowing us to park under their structure when we thought the rain was coming in. Rooms are spacious and clean for an older hotel, prices are good, cable tv and friendly staff. Great deal for the area! Hubby and I paid $45 for a Friday night and $60 on a Saturday night with a single queen bed in a small room. It wasn't anything to write home about but it was clean and worked. They offered a breakfast that wasn't anything special- some danishes, bagels, bread, muffins... but what do you expect for that price in Frankenmuth?!
