This was our building. The green area in the middle had a nice amount of picnic tables.

Great motel with a super location. We stayed here for the annual Volkslauff (race weekend). We chose the motel for the location and price. The staff both days could not have been any nicer! They served a good continental breakfast in the morning at the office that was included in the price. Standard fair with bagels, muffins, yogurt, hard cooked eggs, oatmeal and assorted beverages. The motel was nostalgic of roadside motels of yesteryear. This one is well maintained inside and out. Room - we had two queen sized beds. We found the room spacious with modern amenities - microwave and good sized fridge. The vanity area was able to be separated from the sleeping area. Nice table and padded chairs too. We found the queen beds quite comfortable. Outside - each room was flanked by an outdoor chair. Several picnics tables were situated in the green space around the motel as well as some benches. In the evening people sat outside and we played cards at a picnic table. We were able to see the fireworks from in front of the motel. Location - it was an easy and nice walk to the park or into town, less than a mile. Residential streets and lots of shade. If you're in Frankenmuth and want a fun place to stay you can't go wrong with the Frankenmuth Motel! We'll be back.

A classic motel done in spectacular fashion. There are a lot of rooms here. My room was fantastic. It was super clean and brilliantly bright. I suspect it has been freshly painted in the last year. The bed was very comfy with plenty of blankets. I enjoyed the art in the rooms and appreciate the decent size fridge and the microwave. The furniture was all nice. I like the shampoo and body wash dispensers in the shower, a good idea. Also I'm over 6ft tall and the showerhead is actually high enough for me! Not a coffee drinker, but there's a machine with a couple of refills and plenty of cups. The blackout curtains worked well. The sound levels were excellent, I only occasionally heard noises, and that was all outside. I really like how the motel is within walking distance of downtown and it's a pleasant walk. The staff was very pleasant and stated if I needed anything to just ask. Overall I love this motel! An easy 5 star Motel. Would I return,? Absolutely, this is my hotel of choice for Frankenmuth.

We stayed over Christmas Eve 2024 and had an excellent experience. Easy booking through Booking.com, smooth check in process, updated comfortable room. They are the least expensive option in Frankenmuth and situated within walking distance of downtown and Bronner's. Highly recommend!

Ny wife and I totally enjoyed staying here. It is very clean, beds very comfortable, noise level from outside was hardly noticeable. It is an older Motel built in the 1950's fully restored to its glory days. Highly recommend this the Frankenmuth Motel. Beware of scam pop ups offering discounts. It is not the Motel it is a third party that charges a $100 booking fee. Calling the Hotel is best.

We stayed in Room 25 on 10/12/2023; $119.77 for the night. The room had coffee, fridge microwave. They even supply an amenities card! The room was a mix of vintage and modern...marble windowsill. Pillows of two different firmness - wow. The beds were firm but soft, and there was also a USB hub under the bed lamp. The shower had great pressure annd temperature and the tub drained well. They have a continental breakfast in the morning which we enjoyed. Awesome property! Grade A.

Modest clean motel that is budget friendly. My sister suggested to go here as this is a mother's day weekend to celebrate my aging mother to see something different. Never been here since this is a German town so am going to make the best of this place

How many spiders can there be in ONE room?!?
    Stephanie H.

Stayed just one night (thank God). I don't mind it being dated but OMG... spiders galore. I felt something crawling on my leg and looked under the sheets and about died HUGE spider. Got it killed, laid down and then there was a damn spider on the ceiling. Got little sleep../ go to take a shower and there was a spider in the shower came out and was greeted by a spider. Good God!!! Then when I told the staff they were like ok we'll let the pest guy know. Like NO! Call someone now. One spider ok... four, plus in less than 24hours. That's an issue.

This little motel is not on Main St, but is close, and is cheaper than the hotels which are. It is on the same street as Bronner's Christmas Wonderland, and Michigan's Own Military and Space Museum. This is an older motel, but seems to be well taken care of. When we checked in the lady at the front desk, who I believed was named Jenny, was polite and professional. When I got to our room I tried to turn on the TV. The light on the remote did not illuminate when the buttons were pushed, and the TV did not come on. I called the front desk, and told Jenny the TV would not work. She immediately came to the room and tried to fix the problem. She went back to the office and got new batteries for the remote. She tried the TV, which powered on, but would not connect and receive channels. She was apologetic, and said that she could move us to another room. She showed us to a new room, unlocked the door for us, and even offered to help us carry our luggage to the new room (I told her I would handle it, but I did appreciate her offer and attitude). She then went back to the office, programmed key cards for the new room and started walking back to the room to deliver them to us. I met her half way, and she thanked me for doing that. The rooms were clean and looked nice. During our stay we used the in room fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. All worked very well. The Continental breakfast was basic, bread for toast, bagels, pastries, boiled eggs, yogurt, coffee, tea, and juices. There were jellies, butter, and cream cheese. We enjoyed what we had, and got out to see the sites of Frankenmuth. If you are looking for a nice place to stay, and not break the bank, we would highly recommend the Frankenmuth Motel. We did have the TV issue, but the way the employee handled it, and the good attitude she showed made all the difference.

There are multiple pools, including an adults-only pool for those looking to relax, a fun indoor waterpark, an arcade packed with games, a sweets shop, several restaurants, and even a ferry ride nearby. There's so much to do that it's easy to spend an entire weekend without running out of activities. Whether you're looking for a family getaway or just a relaxing weekend, the Bavarian Inn Lodge offers something for everyone. We had a great time. They also have an area that you can walk to and watch the Peacocks. As far as the rooms, they are okay. The restroom is tight, with the toilets sitting inches from the shower. Rooms are spacious but smelled a little musky. Luckily, we were able to open up the window. Once we did that it smelled a little better. I think it may be from folks walking around wet and dripping on the carpet.

UPDATE: 6/26 - My child developed DOUBLE pink-eye after visiting this water park!!!…read more To the manager that replied: Yes, I spoke to two different ladies. the first young lady was the one giggling and laughing and asking about beer orders. The second time I called, I ASKED to speak to a manager and was switched over, so of course she didn't hear the laughter or giggling I heard. The trip started off fairly well, until around dinner time! We waited over an hour and 15 minutes for dinner after the automated system said 20-40 minutes. When I did call, I was met with laughter on the other line and was told, "we're understaffed - but are you the room that ordered all the beer?" "Nope. Definitely not. We have kids in tow and we do not drink. Me and my family are STILL waiting for food..." To which she laughed again, said they were understaffed and claimed the young lady hauling food was on the floor and would be "right there". 15 minutes later, I called again and they removed the food from our bill - which I appreciated, but also hated having to ask for - AGAIN. Also, asking me about an 'order' because the staff was already taking too long seemed borderline inappropriate. That being said, my kiddos are both 7, one chose this waterpark as her birthday venue, and everyone had a fun time. (It's a tad frustrating that check-in is so late and in order to get INTO the water park, with the most slides that is, you had to pay extra. So, anyone who pays for just the park gets in earlier technically. Which again, is a tad annoying. You pay more to stay and then pay even more to play. The lazy river, the family raft ride and the outside hot tub were their favorites to play around in a there are a few inside we didn't even check out. The breakfast/dinner/game time coupons and cards were all pretty nifty and we used every single one of them. It is a bit misleading that the place to enjoy dinner is the 'Bavarian Inn Restaurant' and is not attached to the hotel in any way and says it closes at 8:00. We booked it there to arrive in time for a dinner only to see them seating people at 8:55. All of our issues revolved around meals/food, and younger staff members just joking around when you try to ask questions, but overall - my kiddos had a great time and that was the goal.

Very easy to book online and be sure to get a rewards sign up. We did a package that included pizza and pop, a chicken dinner at Zehnders, and a breakfast buffet for both mornings. The hotel is easy to spot next to Bronner's. The theme of gnomes and fairies is so adorable. Staff are awesome! They were so sweet to my daughter and us. Whether it was our waitress, lifeguards at the waterpark, or the front desk. We were able to check in early, so be sure to ask! Our room was one of the older rooms and was one of the ADA compliant rooms, which has larger doorways, no bathtub, a queen bed, and a seating area with a fireplace. The room decorations and everything in it are original. It's very desperately needs to get a facelift. The room was right off of the front desk in waterpark, so walking to the action only took a few steps. I noticed there is no recycling bin. There was a mini refrigerator, but the temperature control wasn't the greatest. Carpet was buckling. The seating area did have a pullout couch, but the couch itself was slippery with the fabric and pretty uncomfortable. Not sure how well house keeping was. There was a Nerf gun instructions paperwork behind one of our bedside nightstands. The water pressure was awesome. The bedding felt clean and the bed overall was comfortable. Housekeeping was able to give us a few more towels off their cleaning cart, which was nice. There is an arcade, but it's definitely not as big as the other hotel down the street. It's very crammed into one room. The pizza and cheese bread was absolutely delicious. Was not expecting that for a kid themed hotel. The breakfast buffet was plentiful, but the buffet items don't change. So the second day we were already kind of sick of the options. They do a nightly movie night in the lobby at 8 PM. If our daughter was older, we definitely would've snuggled up in the lobby to watch the movie. The waterpark was our favorite. Our daughter is just over two, and I was so surprised at how many things she was able to do. She even got to go on a waterslide with us, holding her to go down. Also, she was able to go down a waterslide all by herself, so she thought she was super cool! At the hotel down the street, there's barely anything for a two-year-old to do at their waterpark. She absolutely loved being able to wade in the water with the toddler pool going up to 2 feet. She also was brave enough to go under the big bucket that splashes. We stayed two nights and I think we went to the waterpark at least four or five times and she never got sick of it. There is a security checkpoint for the waterpark. Security will put UV light on your wristband to make sure it's not a fake also go through any bags that you're bringing into the waterpark. Do not bring towel towels, the waterpark provides towels for you. Additionally, they provide lifejackets. There are plenty of tables and chairs all along both water parks, the old side and the new side. The new side wasn't as toddler friendly. There was a small slide she could go down, otherwise there really wasn't much else for her to do. We had a great stay and I think with them updating all of the hotel rooms, I think Zehnder's is the place to be!

But recently in the last few years, we have noticed a shift (some things they may not directly have control over). But this past weekend was bad and we felt it was time to update our review to reflect what is happening now. From the second you walk into their lobby, throughout the hallways, seeping into the rooms, and even penetrating the waterpark areas, all you can smell is that legalized recreational product (I'm sure you can guess what I'm talking about). It's disgusting, lingering scent persisting everywhere. It clings onto your clothing, suitcase, EVERYTHING. And if you get a room that was previously occupied by guests who partake in that, it reeks of it for your whole stay! Adding to this, you can continuously find bandaids, hair and hair extensions floating in the water and lying around on the ground. Many children/teens are running wild (being very disrespectful) with no adult in sight. This place has lost its charm for us and it truly is sad. This was a vacation we looked forward to annually with our children and have created so many beautiful memories but sadly, it no longer does and then to add the price continuously increasing (which we knew would happen). If the smell of recreational products, filthy areas, and disrespectful guests is your vibe, then this is the place for you. What once used to be our favorite has sadly shifted over the last few years.

Our room was very clean with no visible signs of any issues. Bathroom had body wash, shampoo & conditioner all full. Daily room checks with fresh towels & bed makeover. We didn't feel comfortable on the balcony but the large patio was very nice with plenty of room and seating. Included with your stay is breakfast, typical of most hotels. What surprised us was you receive a drink ticket for 2 drinks German beer , wine or soda & hors d'oeuvres for a happy hour. All staff were very friendly & accommodating. Our refrigerator was not cooling the best & they allowed us to store our freezer packs & food in their refrigerator. Greatly appreciated this. Parking garage is tight, we have a truck and it was snug. No pool as this seems to be more of place for couples not necessarily families with small children. Although there were families there. The town offers a free shuttle which we used but most things are within walking distance. I am giving 4 stars because of the refrigerator & I wish we could have set the air conditioner for the fan to run continuously it didn't seem to have that function. & the tv didn't have a sleep mode. Overall I think we will stay here again in the future it has been kept up very well.
