Poor and slow customer service. Smelly room with damp floors. Non-working internet. Bad value here. My sister went to the Holiday Inn and had a wonderful experience. She warned me about this place but I wanted to stay loyal to Hilton.....lesson learned! read more

As a Diamond Hilton Honors member, one comes to expect certain truths about the Hampton Inn brand that earns your loyalty. As others have mentioned, this location, barely lives up to those expectations. This hotel misses the mark in several areas. Most notably, it fails to meet my cleanliness and maintenance expectations. The hotel has a lot of wear and tear, which it appears that some unskilled DIY amateur attempted to fix unsuccessfully. This only compounds the appearance of disrepair. By Hampton and Hilton standards, this location ranks poorly. However, in a community like this with limited lodging options, it does appear to still be the best option. The management should not rest on its laurels of this fact. Being number one on Google or Tripadvisor does not give you a pass to lower your standards to just above those of your local competition . You have an international brand and fiercely loyal brand followers, who expect more. read more

First floor room 106 supposedly in a non smoking hotel and a non smoking room. It reeked of cigarettes and feet. A host asked me about the stay and I let them know. I wish they never asked because their solution was to spray the most disgusting skunk smelling perfume ALL over the hotel corridor and dining room. There was a long white hair in our bed :( we don't have white hair. The towels were so thin you could see through them and the edges were frayed and ratty. They were so thin they didn't dry after being hung up overnight. The shower & bathroom floor was very SLIPPERY and the tub too narrow, an accident waiting to happen. The breakfast was inedible! Rubbery burnt and soggy omelette, pale sausage, pale salty soggy potatoes; it all had to be thrown away. We were only able to gag down the coffee and toast. The front desk lady was nice enough but didn't speak English. I said "I'd like to check out" and she looked at me confused "what is check out??" And I had to repeat myself 4x until she realized it was her job to check us out. There are maybe 3 places to stay in Lancaster so it was slim pickings. That being said, this definitely doesn't live up to the Hilton standard I'm used to. read more

This is a very nice Hampton Inn located conveniently near many restaurants and shopping too. The place is in great shape. Nice indoor pool that was very clean. In fact everything here is very clean. Breakfast fare was above average with nice assortment. All the staff we encountered were efficient, no super friendly. Overall, we'd recommend this spot and will return for sure. read more

Parking was restricted, without forewarning when checking in. No signs posted, excepted for one small note by elevator in small print. If you don't use elevator, or go in door where you'll pass elevator, you'll never see it. Staff sent me text asking how my stay was going. I asked for explanation on parking so I would no where to park. Also got on Hilton chat and my question was passed to staff and to await connection. Never connected. Left note at desk for manager to contact me, never did. In fact, staff seemed dumbfounded and had no clue this was going to happen. Poor individual had to deal with issues and questions without managers guidance. In short, clean rooms, great desk, dining, and cleaning staff. Manager is incompetent and must be a coward that is too afraid of answering guest inquiries! read more

We recently stayed at this hotel during a short road trip. As this was during the Covid19 Pandemic, the pool, exercise room, and breakfast bar were all closed. (A to-go breakfast bag was offered but we chose to go to McDonald's instead.) The staff was all wearing masks, which I appreciated. Our room was clean & comfortable, in fact it was one of the better hotel beds I've slept in while traveling. A mini fridge and coffee pot were included. The bathroom was clean and stocked with Neutrogena brand toiletries. I appreciated that, as the hand soap wasn't overly perfumed like some are. Our shower head fell off when either of us touched it- it was meant to be twisted to adjust the water flow, but instead just came off. That was annoying but we still managed to shower & get ready. The small elevator left a lot to be desired, and nobody was social distancing there- each time we rode it others squeezed in with us. See my photo of the filthy carpet there. All in all a decent stay. read more

So we like Hampton Inns. This one just doesn't reach the normal (even during COVID) standard. The remodel here probably helped but the ceiling is different colors the bathroom counter isn't flat it Leanne's forward, they left part f a thermostat on the wall? Just needs a bit more attention to detail. Towel holder fell off the wall in the bathroom. Used digital check in first time ever was super easy. Third floor smelled like cigarette smoke read more

Great place to stay. Just watch out for the night attendant named Jason, does not stray away from the line and is all black and white. Let's just call him #nofunjason read more

My daughter and I spent the night here after attending a wedding. The beds were comfortable and the halls were quite. Check out was till noon which was nice because we wanted to sleep in , breakfast was till ten which of course we missed but I heard it wasn't very good something about soggy French toast. They didn't have the pool area open yet read more

Is it clean? Yes. Is it close where I need to be? Yes. Are the rooms the sexiest? No. You can easily be wooed by new paint, wallpaper, and bedding. Don't fall into this trap! At the core of the hotel is customer service, which this one has. Don't expect a 5 star resort here. Keep in mind that at the end of the day, a hotel is just a place to sleep, shower, and shit. With the basics in mind this hotel fits the bill for the average business traveler. No fuss, no muss. You have a nice comfortable bed to sleep in, clean towels, sheets, and bathroom. Parking is easy, and it appears you are in a downtown area that includes some decent shopping. You're generally not going to be staying in a Hampton Inn for vacation, kids, especially if you're in the entertainment and arts Mecca that is Lancaster OH. You can tell this property is next up for remodeling based on the looks of the lobby. Hang in there, the newer Hampton Inns will surprise you. read more

If I could give 0 I would. We always stay at Hilton's. This was by far worse experience we have had. Smoking was your main smell of the entire building. The second we walked in the front door it was like you were stepping into an ash tray. We even had to wait for manager to stop smoking to help us and then she smelled. Our room smelled so bad we had to close the bathroom door to keep the smell down. Smoke has traveled through the vents so much it was yellow. Yellow on the walls and hair all over bathroom. Stains on our comforter. The pool is always something we look for having a kid looking forward to that part of your vacation. Theirs was closed and had been for awhile and they don't tell you that on their website. So that was a complete let down. Take it off your things to offer instead of lies. Or lies about non smoking rooms. We have never seen such cheap unclean from a Hilton. read more

Walls are super thin, you can hear everything in the rooms next to you. Same with the window- seemed like our window was open it was so loud. Recently renovated and clean so that was a plus. Super friendly staff! read more

Dissapointed with this last visit. I have stayed here many times before and the hotel was always clean and quiet. This trip, my bed was barely made (duvet pulled over the bed but the sheet was still where I had kicked it off in the morning), room not vacuumed and only towels changed out. I don't think the bathroom was wiped down in the 3 days I was there. Then there were the people smoking cigarettes and other things in their rooms immediately next to me. I think it was addressed after I complained. Staff at front desk are still very friendly! read more

The hotel is a Hampton, so room wise you know what you're getting. The problem is the service. It's atrocius. I left an item in my room. Called the following day after I checked out and realized it. The desk girl said she would look and call me back. Never did. So I called back and got a new girl who said the previous girl left for the day. So i asked her and she said she would look. She said she would and of course no call back. So I wait two days. Then try and call back. It took 30 minutes to finally get somebody to answer the phone, and it was a man. He said he hadn't seen anything turned in but would ask around and call me back. Again I never got a response. So the next day I called and asked for a manager, and of course the manager wasn't in. So at this point I figured one of the staff took the item and was being covered for. Cut to two weeks later and I get a phone call from a new girl saying they had my item. I tried to ask a couple questions and kept getting cut off by her while she was laughing and carrying on a conversation with somebody else, extremely unprofessional. I asked how long they had the item and she said for almost two weeks. Which means that the whole time they had been lying to me. Unfortunately this is one of only two or three chain hotels in the area so this review won't do much to get them to improve their service. read more

This is a good, solid Hampton Inn. Nothing spectacular, but nothing groan-worthy, either. Typical great service, clean rooms, and quality experience! read more

This hotel is exceptionally clean and welcoming. The staff was great, and the rooms are nicer than you would expect. I had a king sized bed room that had a comfortable chair with ottoman and super plush bed. Very clean bathroom and small touches that you don't always see in hotel rooms like the mini seats that you pull out from under the counter and slide out drawers and mini fridge hidden inside a cabinet. Well worth the money. read more

We booked a few rooms for family members staying in town for a funeral. The hotel has recently been remodeled and was really clean and attractive. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was well stocked with a nice variety of healthy foods and things that kids will eat. We will stay here again when we come back to visit. read more

Stay here every time with my trips to Ohio. Always clean, helpful, and plenty of stores, restaurants nearby. The pool & jacuzzi are very nice, room rates reasonable and workout room small but can get some use out of it. My only complaint is breakfast isn't all that great, not that I'm expecting top notch quality at a hotel but food can be bland at times. Other than that this hotel is perfect to suit your needs. Bed & sheets clean, nice tv in the room, housekeeping does the job quick & fast always came back to a refreshed room!!!! read more

Overall it was a nice hotel, appeared to be recently remodeled and was clean. Breakfast was awesome. Though the lady at the front desk, we said we were in town for a wedding and her fast snooty reply "don't have any parties here" was very unprofessional. The wedding was off site and all we were doing at the hotel was sleeping, cause ya know it's a hotel and all. Shortly after that we went back out to the truck to get our two YETI coolers valued together of $900 and bring them inside so they wouldn't get stolen and as we passed by the front desk she reminded us "no parties". All we were concerned about was keeping our expansive coolers, safe. Work on your professionalism. read more

Very modern look. Great staff! The decor is beautiful. The place smells wonderful. The food is fantastic at the breakfast. The pool and gym are both close. The bathroom is nice and bright! This is one of the best places I've been to! Don't change a thing guys! read more

Super friendly staff and a great location however, the rooms are in desperate need of renovation. The mattress was comfortable but the rest of the things in the room looked like something out of the 70's. Breakfast area was recently remodeled so maybe the rooms aren't far behind. read more

Clean, tidy, pleasant rooms and nice hot breakfast. Be sure to get your reservation dates in writing from the clerk when you check in. We verbally changed our reservation to remove 2 nights when we checked in. The dates were uncertain when I made the reservation (for a funeral), and needed to change. I didn't get the new reservation in writing--my mistake. We left at 4:30 am to catch our flight home and forget to take the Do Not Disturb sign off the door. There was no one at the front desk to check out. So they charged us for the 2 extra nights and would not remove the charge when asked... :( read more
