    Caulk around tub is black
    Jeff N.

Friendly staff. Maintenance is lacking. My room had a missing thermostat cover with exposed circuit wiring. Caulk around tub was black. The clock was wrong -15 minutes behind. Could mean someone would be late.

Construction area not roped off for safety
    Irene P.

I had to submit a maintenance order the list got so long. As you can see in the picture of the TV doesn't work, The tub drain is not draining and you're standing in water, no hot water just warm water, safety handle in shower falling off the wall, bugs flying in the room, Extreme odor that increases with the use of the heater or air conditioner, spare blanket smells like smoke. Why is there a clock in the room? Either set it to the correct time and turn off the previous guests alarm clock or remove it from the room. It's a four-person room with three towels three washcloths. When someone request a quiet room don't put them on the side of the busy highway. Their system is down they cannot change rooms for me. Fresh fruit at the breakfast bar was good. I like the coffee creamer options. When I came off the elevator the floor was wet, there was no signage and I almost slipped and fell.

Breakfast! Scrambled eggs with cheese, seasoned potatoes, turkey sausage, and fresh fruit!

The hotel was easy to get to in a nice area. Fresh baked cookies at check-in! The hotel was clean and comfortable and I slept well in my room. I loved that I was able to bring my dog and there was a couple of good spots to walk him. Many choices at the complimentary breakfast buffet. Tips you aren't allowed to walk your pet through the lobby or take them on the elevator.

    Our grandson was happy here.

Great customer service, very clean and more breakfast options than any other Hampton Inn I've ever been to.

Nice rooms, no service, poor air conditioning, if handicapped you may starve in your room!

It was too late to get my money back because it was nonrefundable. The whole time I was here, I been killing roaches! That's disgusting! The dumbass at the front desk who checked me in said I could get a single queen on the first floor instead of a double. When she did the switch, I still ended up with a double on first floor. But what's ironic is that the room beside mine was a single queen and no one stayed in it the whole time I was here! No out of order sign or anything! I'll stay here again next time I'm in Archdale!

We paid for 2 nights but our key stopped working the second day, they gave us a new key, then our door wouldn't lock at all! We had to put a chair infront of the door the second night and hope no one messed with our stuff while we were gone because the door wouldn't lock! We travel frequently and have stayed in many different hotels (almost every weekend) and I have never had such a terrible hotel experience! On top of that, the elevator and vending machine were broken and the a/c was awful! Wish I could give it negative stars!!!

There is literally a Waffle House out front door and a short walk across the grass in case you want a different option though. Parking for cars is abundant. My negative note is that I used the fitness room and was a bit frustrated because only one cardio machine is working out of three, the TV remote batteries are dead, and the pool nextdoor is drained and empty at the time of my visit.

It is under remodel and the crews are doing a good job but it is the unruly staff that is the problem. We stayed two nights, Friday and Saturday and early Saturday morning we was awaken around 630 by a maid in the hallway on her cell phone arguing with someone. She was threatening to kill the other person who was apparently her brother from what we overheard. She was calling him all kinds of curse words and she was very loud cursing and threatening to kill him. Around 8am we got up and went down for breakfast as it is advertised and there was nothing but cold cereal, juice and water. Sunday morning at 330am we was awaken to the people in the room above us. The ceiling/floor above us was very creaky and the person above us was walking back and forth and talking loudly to someone else in the room. This went on for over an hour. I called the desk around 4am and there was no answer. The person finally went to bed around 430am after keeping us up. A lot of people hang out in the back of the hotel parking area. It is a secluded lot in the back but if the front lot is full you have to park in the back. I would not recommend this Comfort Inn to stay at. The bed in our room was very uncomfortable and the pillows was old. I had to get additional pillows from the desk. The manager said the Country Inn pillows hadn't been replaced yet with Comfort Inn pillows. There is also no security patrols and the hotel needs it badly. The desk staff was nice if they was at the desk. Beware if you stay there and good luck

During our stay, Courtyard High Point met the standard I expected of the Courtyard brand. We stayed in Room 419 on the 4th floor (top floor). It had a king bed and a sofa bed. For four nights, I spent 82,654 United Airlines MileagePlus award miles (cleared out my account) plus $419.96. I booked through United's website / United Hotels. I found this hotel through United because I was trying to use up all my miles. As an American Express Platinum card member, I have Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite status without meeting any stay requirements. That said, I didn't notice nor took advantage of any of the Gold Elite benefits. I was supposed to receive a "welcome gift of points upon arrival" (none were posted to my account, which I had linked to the reservation), late checkout up to 2pm (didn't need it), and a complimentary upgrade to an enhanced room at check-in (didn't happen); subject to availability. Standard check-in and check-out times are 3pm and 12pm, respectively. As a Gold Elite, I'm also supposed to get faster free in-room Wi-Fi. I didn't get that either. I just connected to the standard free Wi-Fi, which was fine / usable, but I would've preferred faster internet. I called the hotel ahead of time to verify details and spoke with Toni. She was wonderful. Super nice and a shining example of excellent hospitality and customer service. Courtyard High Point is lucky to have her. The other staff that we interacted with were polite and professional. Our room was very spacious. It had an unusually long and wide entry area / hallway leading to the bed and sitting area; ideal for spreading out our luggage. We had a view of the old Oak Hollow Mall and parking lot. Part of the mall we could see is now the Roy B Culler Jr Senior Center, named after the former mayor of High Point. I went to his house when I was a kid and saw his elaborate model train set, but I digress. The bathroom was spacious as well. Outstanding shower water pressure. We had a microwave, mini fridge, and Keurig machine. Unfortunately, there was no free coffee in the lobby so we had to rely on Keurig coffee each morning (not our preferred coffee). Bummer. A lot of hotels in this tier offer fresh, hot, free coffee in the lobby. Cleaning service was every other day. There was one day when I had to go downstairs and ask for more Keurig K-Cup pods. By the way, for really good coffee in High Point, I recommend DeBeen Espresso: https://www.yelp.com/biz/debeen-espresso-high-point During our stay, we went there for coffee too. The couch (sofa bed) in our room looked dingy and grossed us out a bit. I liked the bed and thought it was pretty comfy, but it wasn't the comfiest among hotel beds we've slept in recently. My wife said it was lumpy. The nightstand USB and power outlets didn't stick well, so they didn't work reliably and charge all of our devices (kind of annoying to charge a phone on the desk on the other side of the room). Overall, the room amenities were OK. According to Travel Weekly, this hotel was built in 2003 and was last renovated in 2011. https://www.travelweekly.com/Hotels/High-Point-NC/Courtyard-High-Point-p51804414 In general, from the indoor pool to the nicely landscaped outdoor seating area in the back, I thought the property looked reasonably well kept. My wife commented that it was dated and looked mid-2000s. Oak Hollow Mall officially closed on March 10, 2017 and was a shell of its former self before then. Therefore, the immediate area around the hotel is very quiet. The nearby Target is a plus. I remember when the High Point University building next door used to be a Circuit City. Since 2022, Courtyard by Marriott High Point has been a Certified Autism Center, supporting the city's "ongoing efforts as a Certified Autism Destination." https://www.instagram.com/p/DLC-Ll-PRCO/
