Odd to save a hotel for your token 400th Yelp review but WELL DESERVED Hampton Inn. Well deserved! This may be long, but read it anyway. You'll be thankful you did. My company puts us up at the Hampton for every Market so I've stayed here several times. The hotel staff is ALWAYS top notch, the rooms are very clean, the beds comfortable and the breakfast options are awesome! You even get a "good morning" from the wonderful kitchen staff. This particular visit bumps this place up to 6 stars in my book: 1. I had a last minute print job for a meeting in the morning that I wasn't going to be able to take care of. I explained the situation to the girl at the front desk. She took my file, printed my 70 copies and had them ready for me the next morning!! No worries! No they don't really offer business support but they do when you're in a bind. Thank you!! 2. My roommate lost her beloved diamond earring and didn't notice until she arrived home. It could have been anywhere in the town of High Point! She checked the car, the showroom and lastly called the Hampton. The front desk clerk informed her that no one had turned in an earring, nor had the cleaning staff found one in the room she had checked out of earlier that morning. Needless to say my friend was crushed. A couple of hours later, the hotel called her back. They had actually opened the vacuum bag from the vacuum used in our room and found the earring!!!! This hotel is in desperate need of up updating. Everything is old and worn. housekeeping if you can call it that is only offered every other day and is minimal. I came home one night during our stay to find a 6" worm next to my bed. Alive. I disposed of it but when I mentioned that I was concerned about more coming in (falling from the ceiling for example), I was brushed off "it happens". During that same stay my in-room refrigerator froze and exploded all contents. Response: shrug. I decided to give them another try a year later for a 9 night stay. I specifically asked about making changes to my reservation and was told fine, with in 24 hours. Now when I want to cut my stay by one night I was told NO. You have to pay. Terrible, terrible customer service for a very mediocre property. i will never return. And advise all comers to avoid. read more

We visited Thomasville NC last week to take care of business with a family member who lives there. When checking for hotels I like Hampton Inn. I have stayed at them all across the US and always have a pleasant stay. Thomasville is a very tiny town. The hotels in town looked a little older and less cared for. This location was about 6 or 7 miles from Thomasville. Closer to Greensboro, which is a good sized city. The location was close enough to the family member that getting to them was not an issue. It was close enough to make me happy. So we chose it. It is easy to find since it is just a few yards from the exit when you get off the interstate. For this trip our results were the same. They live up to the Hilton Brand reputation. The room was clean and ready when we arrived. We stayed in one of the suites that had a separate living room area with a TV, sofa and chair. I might have wished for an extra table to put down a drink as they only provided 1. That would be my only negative to list for the stay. The beds were comfortable. The room was extremely quiet. And we were on the end of the hall close to the ice machine and elevator. But we never got woke up by any noise from the hall. We ate the breakfast provided each morning. The food was all good. It was hot. There was plenty of it. And each morning it was something different to give variety. They have waffles every morning as they have restaurant quality waffle irons set up. Each morning they had different flavors of batter to make different flavored waffles. And plenty of toppings to put on them. Enough to rival IHOP! The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. And eager to help with anything you needed. The ladies at the front desk were extremely pleasant to talk with. My wife enjoyed the complimentary water bottles and I enjoyed the snacks while watching TV in the evening. So if you find yourself traveling to the Greensboro NC, or surrounding areas, I heartily recommend this location to be one on your list to consider. read more

I had to submit a maintenance order the list got so long. As you can see in the picture of the TV doesn't work, The tub drain is not draining and you're standing in water, no hot water just warm water, safety handle in shower falling off the wall, bugs flying in the room, Extreme odor that increases with the use of the heater or air conditioner, spare blanket smells like smoke. Why is there a clock in the room? Either set it to the correct time and turn off the previous guests alarm clock or remove it from the room. It's a four-person room with three towels three washcloths. When someone request a quiet room don't put them on the side of the busy highway. Their system is down they cannot change rooms for me. Fresh fruit at the breakfast bar was good. I like the coffee creamer options. When I came off the elevator the floor was wet, there was no signage and I almost slipped and fell. read more

The hotel was easy to get to in a nice area. Fresh baked cookies at check-in! The hotel was clean and comfortable and I slept well in my room. I loved that I was able to bring my dog and there was a couple of good spots to walk him. Many choices at the complimentary breakfast buffet. Tips you aren't allowed to walk your pet through the lobby or take them on the elevator. read more

This hotel is amazing. We were greeted upon check-in by Ty at the front desk. He was friendly and welcoming, and his personality was simply amazing. He actually went to check our room before giving us our keys. He gave us water and wished us a great visit. The room was clean, and absolutely perfect. Breakfast is amazing, and the staff makes sure it is well stocked and clean. Everyone is amazing here. Looking forward to our next visit. A rinse and repeat scenario, another trip... another Hampton Inn. This trip through North Carolina was taking longer than I wanted so I looked for the closest place to take a few minutes to recoup. A brand new Hampton became my destination. "The Good" - The staff were very polite and always had a smile... always a good thing. - The room was clean and the bed was soft. - Another ease of use desk where you can still watch the tv. - The room was cool when I arrived, beyond helpful during the summer in the South. "The Meh" - Nothing Meh to comment on. "The Bad" - Nothing really bad to comment on either. read more

This was our second stay here. The staff are super friendly. The property is very neat and clean. They are pet friendly which is how we chose them to begin with. I would stay here even if I were traveling without the dogs though. The complimentary breakfast is well above average for its category. I've enjoyed staying at this Hampton Inn location while working occasionally in High Point. The hotel is clean, the staff are personable & very nice staff. The amenities are as expected for a Hampton Inn. However, they do offer a Manager's reception on Tuesdays including food and beer. Overall, It's conveniently located to the interstate and are only about 15-20 minutes away from lots of restaurants. I would definitely recommend staying here... I will be again. read more

The fourth floor of this hotel is under renovation. As such, part of the parking lot has been removed from service and the fourth floor is not available for occupancy. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and we brought Our dog with us. The lighting in the hotel room was not that good. The cost for our hotel room was less than $100 so this was a very good value. read more

Great location near 85 and short drive to High Point University. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable and pillows fluffy. The front desk staff were very friendly and happy to answer all our questions about the local area and provide dining recommendations. The lobby was welcoming. And the in room TVs are great! Impressive HD. Will stay here again if the teen comes back for a return college visit. read more

Filthy. Human hair all over the bathroom. Room stank of pungent glue. And to top it off they want to charge you for unsecured parking when there is free parking on nearby streets. Suggest you try somewhere else. There are many nice places to stay in Point Loma. read more

I had reservations for 4 night stay which ended in an early check out. The air conditioning was barely keeping the room cool but that was not the worse of my problems. I woke up with several bites marks from bed bugs after my second night stay! The hotel management only comp for one night and paid to have my clothes cleaned. Even though the bite marks were clearly visible on my arms he stated that the bed bugs have not been confirmed. This is very disturbing to be in denial and not taking ownership to ensure the next guest stay wouldn't have to be exposed to the same horrible experience. I took for granted the hotel reputation for cleanliness. On the surface appeared to be clean but folks please look carefully at the sheets and mattress before you get into bed. You never know what bed critters could be waiting for because hotel management will greet you with smiles and let you sleep in a dirty bug infested mattress. read more

Stayed here January 8, 2015. This place received 5 stars because it exceeded our expectations in every way. My wife and I were immediately impressed with the gentleman working the reception at 10:00pm. The lobby and entire hotel was exceptionally clean. Our room was impressive considering the low price compared to other hotels in the area. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was super clean! The morning breakfast area was visually appealing. The morning receptionist was equally pleasant and efficient. Our overall impression was that this hotel exceeded our expectations considering the rate. If in the area, we will stay here again and I highly recommend it to others. Stayed here last night on a last minute decision. We were on our way home from Texas and decided to stop and this place was on the route so we stopped. The gentleman at the desk said they had a king bed available even though it was me, my wife and 3 kids (our daughter said she would sleep on the floor.) He even offered to call some of the other hotels around to see if they had anything (which I have never had other hotels offer to do so that was kudos on their part.) We decided to stay here because it was very late and just wanted sleep. They lady that was taking over the shift was helping another guest who had walked in after us but unfortunately for us the lady was very needy and was requesting specific rooms, extra towels, and wanted to make future reservations all at the same time while our littlest one fussed and the other lady's daughters (who appeared college age) sat on the couches and looked half asleep. Finally she left and as I approached the desk a man came in and said he had a reservation so the lady asked me to step aside so she could help him. Luckily the man DID NOT have a reservation so we were able to get a room. I went to get our stuff and when I got to the room my wife was walking out to go to the front desk. Apparently the bed had been used recently as the pillows were crumpled even though the sheets looked okay. I looked in the shower and there was a wet wash cloth. Apparently the people who had had the room rented before us decided they wanted a smoking room AFTER they lay down and did whatever and the hotel staff didn't get it cleaned. Sufficeit to say we moved to a different room. The rooms are very nice and well cleaned. It was quiet and comfortable although as tired as we were I don't think any noise would have bothered us. Breakfast consisted of omletes, sausage, the usual bread fair, fresh fruit, cereal, and yogart, as well as waffles. The dining/lobby area was packed so we ate in the room.Apparently they had a wedding party in the hotel as the bride and her maids came down in their robes to eat. I think we would stay here again if we were ever in need. read more
