This place is depressing. The rooms are basic. There is a lot of noise. Walls are thin. You constantly hear doors slamming and people all around you. The televisions are ridiculously small and the a/c constantly goes on and off even when set at a low temperature. Breakfast was unacceptable - tiny yogurts, powdered eggs, prepackaged waffles and muffins. Fruit was rotten. When I mentioned it to the breakfast staff, they claimed people like rotten bananas and the truck didn't come. The front desk staff is far more helpful and service-oriented. Two treadmills, one elliptical machine and some weights. Small indoor pool. Comfortable beds. But terrible moldy smell unless the a/c is running nonstop. Hotel was renovated a few years ago and the photos on Yelp don't do it justice. Hotel is clean and comfortable. The room is nice with comfortable bed and soft sheets, nice sized bathroom. Good breakfast, scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon, bagels, muffins and cereal. Pleasant guest services. Good wifi. If there's one thing that needs updating, will be the TV, it's so small. read more

Good place to stay during drive to beach. Easy on/off our route. Price was reasonable. Staff could have been a little more accommodating, but it's the world we live in now. Breakfast was as expected, kids loved it - lol. read more

It's newer, clean, however upon check in as a Titanium Life Ambassador elite, they offered me zero usual Marriott rewards gift stating they did away with it during COVID19?!? Good value for the dollar. This hotel property was obviously renovated recently. All the amenities have been upgraded from the lobby to the room. The only thing I didn't like was the breakfast. Since I don't eat carbs I stuck to the eggs and they tasted like typical powdered eggs. Also the TV stay back to the 90s. I love that it was comfortable and clean what more can you ask read more

Easy access from the highway, friendly and efficient front desk staff, Manager's Special Tuesdays & Wednesdays (free beer and wine served by a nicely dressed good looking lady. Never seen this here before. Only today?), free WiFi that actually works well, spacious and clean rooms, ample parking, I had no complained until I got a stomacache and diarhrea after I ate the complimentary breakfast. What i ate were the not fresh looking mixed fruits, boiled eggs and raisin bran. I think it was the pineapple and the eggs. Pineapple was not fresh, and the boiled egg's egg white was very hard. It is sad that people at the hotel do not care to serve fresh food to their guests. read more

Three stories, interior entrances, elevator, I was there as part of a family wedding. My two bed room had comfortable bedding, microfridge, desk, good wifi signal, ample amount of channels on the tv. We took advantage of the breakfast bar. The employees of that area were very polite - making sure to say "good morning" to the guests Good selection of breakfast foods included scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, waffles, breads, and cereal. Our wedding party was also allowed to use the breakfast area for a pre wedding Lunch purchased elsewhere. My only ding would be needing a few more electrical outlets for all the electrical things travelers bring these days. read more

Fairfield is nice and clean. The rooms are updated and the beds comfortable. This hotel is pretty good compared to the ones in the area. Of course nothing fancy. Prices are usually around $100, except at market time. Not happy about neighboring room though, they had children that were running around and SCREAMING on a weeknight until 3AM. I am not ever someone that calls to complain but I called the front desk because I was staying there for business and had an early meeting in the morning. This young guy that was at the front desk does nothing about it, complain a second time and he said "You can come down and I can give you earplugs" REALLY? I said: If that is all you are going to do, you are going to COME UP and give me the earplugs. I was pretty upset at the hotel doing nothing to assure the guests could sleep! so at 6 AM when I had to wake up, I blasted "What does the fox say?" I stumbled upon Fairfield while searching hotels on Expedia. I had to attend my cousin's funeral down there on 9/29/18. My second time in that area in less than two months and didn't want to stay in the hotel i was in back in August for my family reunion. That hotel need serious updating. At first I was looking for less expensive hotels in the area since my family and I were only staying the night of 9/28/18.       The area of the hotel was easy to find. Located right next to the exit for I-85 so there was no driving around "sightseeing" Archdale. LOL!!! I also like it because of the fact hat even though it's right there, it's snugged in the cut. Also the hotel looked very modern and cheerful. Upon entering, we were greeted by Gus at the front desk. He was very friendly and accommodating of the type of room we wanted. I booked a double bed room but my mother didn't want to be on the first floor. She's always been that way. LOL!! So he found us a room on the second floor near the end of the hallway which proved to be alright when we got back in later that night since we could see our car from our window.       Our room was clean. The beds were finely made and the bathroom was very clean and organized for us. The temperature of the room was comfortable and you could control it with the thermostat that's located on the wall near the bathroom. The room has a microwave, mini fridge, and coffeemaker which we took advantage of the microwave and fridge. The bed was slightly firm for my liking but it served it's purpose. Saturday morning we went down for the breakfast. My mom got the full breakfast but I only had the oatmeal. I didn't want to eat knowing what was ahead for us the rest of the day but the oatmeal was good and my mom said the breakfast was delicious.        The next time I'm down in the Thomasville/High Point/Archdale area I'm definitely staying here again. I have been in hotels in the High Point and greater Triad area for the past two months due to relocation to HP with work. There are a few decent hotels in the area but I keep coming back to the Fairfield because it has been the best overall value. Marriott Rewards members can get a king suite most weeks for right at $100/night if you pre-pay. It can be less depending on the week. I am gold status with both Marriott and Hilton and the Hampton Inn across the street isn't nearly as nice, the rooms aren't suites and it could be $20-40 more per night. I haven't tried the Holiday Inn to compare. The things I find important in hotels are clean, spacious, modern rooms, hot showers with good water pressure, free Wi-Fi that works well, decent coffee in rooms and ample electrical outlets that are conveniently located. The Fairfield excels in all of these categories except the Wi-Fi, which is abysmally slow. You can get an upgrade for $5/day, which I have not tried. I don't usually partake in hotel breakfasts, but it looks fairly standard for a lower level hotel in a major brand. An egg dish, a meat, cereal and yogurt selections. They do have a decent coffee station to help get your morning started. There is a Waffle House and Biscuitville within walking distance if you prefer, and the hotel's Main Street location puts many other restaurants a short drive away. There is plenty of parking at the hotel with an extra lot in the rear that can be easily and safely accessed from the hotel's side doors. If you're taking a trip to High Point, checkout the Fairfield's rates. If they make sense for you, you really can't go wrong. read more

Fairfield are at the lowest end of the Marriott spectrum. But, this one has recently been renovated. The check in was easy. The room was tastefully decorated and clean. The only issue I had was that we were on the ground floor and the window was not latched when we got there Whenever you stay on a ground floor double check windows and sliding doors when you first check in to make sure they are latched. Other than that our stay was great. Plus there is a waffle house right next door. Make sure to order your waffles scattered, smothered and covered. read more

Our family needed a number of rooms and our experience here was great. The staff was friendly. We were allowed to check in a couple hours early. The beds were comfortable. Good water pressure in the shower. We upgraded one of the rooms to a suite for $10 more (so worth it). That gave us a sitting room and a microwave and fridge. Wish all the rooms had the fridge, but it was nice to have in the suite. read more

1. Pathetic internet -- high latency and really bad jitter. Incapable of supporting a VOIP call. [I will rate this hotel as having NO wi-fi.] 2. NOISY -- NOISY -- through-the-wall-type HVAC system. 3. Small rooms (that was expected -- its' a Fairfield) 4. Uncomfortable bed and pillows -- really bad. I know better. You get what you pay for. We stayed here rather than our normal Hilton property because the ratings were similar but the price was about 1/3; pretty significant over the course of 5 days. The place was nice enough on the surface but comparatively speaking.... after staying at Hilton properties the past couple of months with COVID... it wouldn't appear as though this property is doing anything extra for cleaning. And hello.??? Where are all the outlets? I couldn't even work at the desk! There was not an outlet to plug in my laptop at the desk. Seriously?? The USB ports next to the bed didn't work. I had one working outlet in the room. That's it. Out of two right next to each other... besides the bathroom. We charged our laptops in the bathroom at night. At one point I was working in the bathroom. The pillows were extremely comfy! The bed wasn't too bad. The room did has a small microwave and fridge. The hotel was back a ways off the road which was nice. There was a couple of fast food places to eat that you could probably walk to. read more

Service is ALWAYS great when I stay here. I've traveled to this location several times and have NEVER had an issue with my room or any other services they offer. There is an evening reception 2 nights out of the week. ( It varies) If you're looking for a great place to relax, stay at this location. read more

The staff at this hotel is helpful and friendly. This hotel offers free breakfast. The breakfast is decent. The room is spacious and clean. The only thing I didn't like is I can hear next door snoring in middle of the night. My co-workers room is next to the ice machine which he can hear ice machine making ice all night and couldn't sleep well. read more

I made the mistake of calling this hotel and booking directly instead of going through Marriott Corporate. I asked for the lowest rate and they gave me a non refundable rate without clarifying that it was non refundable or non changeable. I asked the manager Tina M Waddell to delete a day off my stay 5 months out but was flatly denied. Don't stay there and most assuredly don't call them directly as you don't really know what games they are playing. read more

Stayed one night at this hotel with my husband and 2 children. The hotel was clean. The staff was friendly. My children enjoyed the indoor pool although it was on the small side. On the negative side, when we made reservations we indicated that we had 2 adults and 2 children. However, our hotel room only had one bed, a kingsize, and no space for inflateable mattress or hide-a-bed. This room clearly could not accomodate 4 people and as such shouldn't have been allowed to reserve it. When we made the front desk aware of our situation they did give us extra bedding to help make a bed on the floor. Since we were only staying one night we made it work. read more

If you are a Marriott Rewards member, and value conscious like I am, then this is your best choice in the Greensboro and High Point area. You can save at least $30 a night just by staying a few miles out of the area. Everyone at the desk is super friendly and aims to please. Cookies are freshly baked for arriving guests. The rooms are clean and comfortable. As someone that travels to the area often, this location is cleaner and nicer than other Fairfield Inns, and at a much lower price. This stay at the Fairfield was below standard by all accounts. The swimming pool was shut down and they were in the process of filling in the Whirlpool Tub! The bedding was low end, with one Full having a broken spring. Breakfast area was a mess, no clean up or restocking. New General Manager not available for guest inquiry, stayed in her office. Very disappointed overall. We moved to the Country Suites across the parking lot with full amenities, plus microwave and refrigerator in our Room for a lower Rate! We will NOT STAY at this Fairfield again when we come to High Point for business!! read more

Best Marriott hotel in the area! Great staff, very clean rooms. This is the nicest Fairfield I have ever stayed in.

Conveniently located off the highway and near other fast food restaurants, the hotel was pretty empty for Super Bowl evening. The staff welcomed me and advised of their gathering for the Super Bowl. We came back later and they had a decent spread with some basic beverages. We were put into a room above the indoor pool and it was kind of disappointing as some of the space was taken up by the HVAC next door. The rooms have a narrow entrance with the bathroom door before opening up to the bed and desk. Internet speed was adequate and they had a flat screen LG tv. Room prices are fair. The complimentary breakfast was ok. They also had turkey bacon in the shape of canadian bacon along with 4 concentrated juices - orange, apple, lemonade, cranberry. They ran out of waffle batter although it was not 10AM yet. Overall, a decent night away from much noise. read more

This hotel offers 1-star accommodations at a 4-star price during the bi-annual High Point Market. Over the course of 5 years, we booked an average of 20 rooms for an 8-night stay, twice per year. New ownership came in one year ago and everything changed. All 20 rooms had hot water issues that the management never addressed. One of the hotel staff members admitted the new ownership had adjusted the hot-water regulators in the shower walls, thus knowingly subjecting their guests to lukewarm to cold showers. The towels the new ownership brought in were paper thin; the kind of towels one would expect at a 1-star motel. Many amenities provided in the first four years we stayed there were removed once the new ownership came in, while at the same time, the nightly rate increased significantly. We asked to speak personally with the new ownership, and they refused. They also refused to answer our letters. Why would one pay a minimum of $229 per night for 1-star accommodations? That is what you will get at the Fairfield Inn Archdale, NC. Look around. There are so many more options at a better rate, better accommodations, and hotel ownership that strives to earn your repeat business. read more
