    Breakfast is included!

I am updating this review. The service here has been excellent. The rooms are large and clean. Stuff has been fixed in our room. The manager took care of it the same day. (See below review for details). The breakfasts are wonderful. They also always have coffee and hot tea. FRIENDLY STAFF COMFY BEDS LARGE ROOMS CLEAN HOTEL. HIGHLY RECOMMEND ***first review***** The rooms are really big and really nice. The beds are super comfy. The reason for the lower stars is that we had some issues. The little refrigerator in our room was leaking and the toilet keeps running every time you flush. Also one of the blinds in the room are broken. Unfortunately when we reported it to the front desk they said it couldn't be fixed until tomorrow. But honestly the hotel is nice other than these issues which my parents have a room as well and they are not having the same issues. Plus a delicious breakfast is included in the stay. I wish i could give 3 1/2 stars. That's really what my Review should be. Overall a nice hotel. Just some problems this time.

Real , hot and yummy breakfast!

Pleasant receptionist to greet us and check us in, efficiently finishing paperwork while giving information on breakfast which was delicious. The room was clean (most important characteristic of any hotel!) and blackout shades where great. The heater smelled strongly as though we were the first to turn on for winter. This was especially bad as we didn't have anything to absorb the smell. We ended up going out, so when returned the room was warm and smell was gone! I am a heavy sleeper so once out it didn't bother me, but you can definitely hear everything - cleaning lady next door, people in hall, doors closing, people talking... In all, it was a great hotel and I would definitely recommend to others.

Bedbugs!!! We were staying at the Hampton inn for a wedding with my 18 month old. The hotel staff were nice but there seemed to be some confusion over when the hotel manager was coming in to discuss the issue with the bed bug we found. The night staff said that management would be in at 7 and to call at 8am. We wanted to leave ASAP so, we called and left a message. The morning staff then said the manager won't be in until 10am and to call back. I have yet to get in contact with hotel management. Not a great stay. Really grossed out.

Beautiful grounds filled with all sorts of plants. There were so many flowers and plants blooming wonderfully so! Everything from corn to Dahlia! Lots of paths to walk around and get your steps!! There was also some very nice bands there performing by the covered seating. You could buy all kinds of seeds for $1.50 a packet! What a deal ! Every employee and/or volunteer were salt of the earth kind hearted . If you were tuckered out after a long day of fun, they also had mini golf cart rides to take you to the exit of the grounds and you can walk to your car freely . I would definitely come back to this place. It's wonderful to do some thing that is so meaningful to this county. The Burpee seed company is special & Mr. Burpee was great friends with author Pearl S. buck, who also lived nearby in Bucks County. I recommend it for locals and out of towners.

We bailed and parked a few blocks away and walked over. Once there, the long parking line situation was a blessing as it somewhat kept the crowd sizes not too crazy. Weather was good and the grounds were nice to walk around. They had some food trucks and a medium sized tent so you can take your food and eat (empanada man truck was quite good, as was the band that had the standup bass). They had quite a variety of plants, the kitchen garden was pretty neat for instance. The Stumpery was also pretty interesting, with old tree stumps covered in moss for instance. Overall a neat walk around a farm you can't typically access, hopefully they will consider opening up more for say a teaching partnership or limited event space, etc.

The Doylestown Inn - King size bed. Comfy and clean.

The location is unbeatable and it is accessible to everything that the beautiful and charming downtown of Doylestown has to offer with their bookstores, bars, restaurants, and shopping. The town even has a stand alone movie theatre. The Inn is charming, historic, quaint, cozy, and was decorated beautifully for the holidays. The Inn staff was very welcoming and warm and attached to a rustic restaurant called the Hattery Stove & Still (worth the visit). We stayed in the George Washington room on the second floor. It was a nice and quiet location and we only had a neighbor across from us and no rooms next to us on either side. Everything in our room worked to perfection and the housekeeping staff did their job nicely. There was a very visible rusted air vent in the bathroom that needed replacing and the mattress was very soft, not firm, causing us to fold into the center of the bed. There were no coffeemakers in the rooms but a carafe of hot water with a tea selection as well as a carafe of coffee in the lobby after 10:00 pm. Sadly, it is not there all day but only late at night. When our friend came down in the early morning for a cup of coffee, he mentioned it was cold and went across the street to Starbucks. The Inn does not have private parking so we were directed to the public parking lot, a half a block away, and the street parking. Parking was not free and you will have to pay during the day, however, there is no charge for overnight parking. The rates were inexpensive considering where I live in New Jersey. The price of the Inn was very reasonable and we would not hesitate to stay here again. None of these things I mentioned bothered my wife and I and we only point them out for your information only. The Inn is only 15 minutes from Peddler's Village and just a tad longer to New Hope, PA. This is a great location to stay and make the trips.

The check in process was very easy, and had no issues at all and straightforward. I was asked which floor and side you'd like to stay on, which I found to be convenient, because I enjoy being at high level with a nice view. The 3rd floor is where I stayed, and the room I received looked very nice. It featured a couch with my plan, which I can't complain at all. I had no problems in my room, with a slight minor confusion, the strip lights located above the bed and TV switch is turned on and off from the power strip (don't have photos), but I was wondering if there was even a switch for it. Breakfast was free, and I enjoyed the offerings they had, with a number of choices and variety. There are plenty of tables to sit at, which keeps the line moving in and out. I found the pancakes to be tasty, at least at this location. I enjoyed my stay here, and I'm sure to make this stop again soon.

What was great; 1.) the grounds are beautifully landscaped with huge trees and flowering bushes, 2.) there are numerous porches, patios, and benches all around for impromptu gatherings, 3.) the luncheon menu had very good choices and the prices were not too expensive, 4.) the waitresses were kind and hard working, 5.) the decor is Williamsburg, colonial, and charming What was not great; 1.) the website says full country breakfast, but that is not true- things have changed-but the website did not get updated. There is only breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays in the hotel restaurant, not during the week. 2.) the website mentions various room types- queen, 2 queens, king, 2 queen deluxe, etc etc. I booked a 2 queen deluxe room, directly through the hotel, but somehow I ended up with just one queen bed. The lady in the registration office was very nice, but there were no 2-queen rooms available. And also, the queen bed in our room was saggy. 3.) there is no refrigerator or microwave or coffee machine in the room, also the restaurant was not open, and so we had trouble finding coffee in the morning. We went to the registration office, and that is when we found out there is no free "full country breakfast" as advertised. Instead, they had "grab and go" snacks, and the restaurant does not open until lunch. Also the coffee machine in the office was out of order. We had to search for a breakfast place nearby and since we are not familiar with the area, this took a while. Even though there were some problems with the bed and getting breakfast, overall this IS a place you should go to because it is truly a park-like setting, and the decor is charming. I would recommend that you bring a small coffee maker and a cooler for your room.
