I would give this place ZERO stars based solely on the lack of hospitality these front desk people have. The room and the amenities are great and if it weren't for the kitchen (so that I can cook), I would leave in a heartbeat. Not really sure how folks opt to work in hospitality industries but have the faintest idea what it means. I will certainly let Marriott Bonvoy know how horrible these people are and they should be removed from the app. No Platinum or Titanium members should lodge here. The breakfast was decent. I liked that there's flaxseed, pumpkin seed, coconut flakes and other toppings available for oatmeal or cereal. The coffee matches the attitudes of the front desk employees...sucks! Pug Friendly. What else do I have to say. Okay, okay, overall the place is great. There is an inside pool for year long swimming and it's salt water so there no pesky chlorine in your making you look high as a kite. Not here. The staff is attentive, helpful and I've liked the front desk staff, the hosuekeeping ladies and the Maintance and cleaning crew. The room are like little apartments. Living room with a kitchen. This place is the worst. Made a reservation on a room block for my brothers wedding, call a week before and they don't have it. Stayed across the street at courtyard (which was awesome). Then I find out they charged me for the room that "I never booked." I went in to see my moms room and it was disgusting. Also, extremely uncomfortable situation when I saw the GM publicly berating a cleaning lady for using her phone on the job. And just overall old/lame vibe. This place is simply gorgeous! I'm giving it 5 stars, even though we were annoyed that our cards had a swiping issue that we had to wait for the front desk to rectify. (Sh*t happens I suppose). The lobby is very welcoming w/ a large tv and clean high tables (and I think a fireplace?) We had a suite and it WAS sweet! (see my pix!). Stainless steel appliances, the cabinets stocked w/ plates, cups and glasses plus utensils, etc. in the drawers. The furniture was modern and done in nice soft (earth tone) colors. Nice big flat screen tv on a swivel that we vastly enjoyed and lastly . . . the lush bed w/ lots of plushy mushy pillows! I even liked the darn hair dryer (I always pack mine b/c I hate the cheapie 'in the wall' ones!) Our buffet b. fast was so-so - I had oatmeal w/ a packet of Nutella. I asked for another (was the last one left) and got forgotten about (it WAS Christmas so I'll let it slide). The scrambled eggs were kind of tasteless but that's to be expected at hotels (from my limited experience). They had a mini waffles station, yogurt, some fruit (no bananas), cereal and a few others. Our hot drinks were good but the area was not eye pleasing plus too small. As you see, that didn't detract from my rating. I hope to go back some time! read more

Even though the hotel has been there a couple of years, it still looks to be brand new. I love having the walk in shower plus all of the receptacles in the room for device charging. The bed was comfortable and room was very spacious. The fitness center is open 24/7 and features elliptical, treadmills, free weights. Staff was very friendly and offered good suggestions for food, even though we're somewhat local. Very nice breakfast in the morning featuring eggs, cereals, breads, dairy, etc. read more

I typically don't do this but my recent stay at the Residence Inn in Hamilton, NJ was not good. To start off, the Residence Inn has been the absolute worst hotel to deal with. My best friend got married on Sunday night, so Saturday night her bridesmaids stayed in a suite with her. I ended up sleeping on the couch and noticed I had quite a few bite marks the night of her wedding. Then 2 other bridesmaids ended up having some bite marks appear the next day (Monday). We all were talking about it as we got home and when the bride went to get a garment bag out of her luggage she noticed a bed bug on it. We've all been calling the hotel and trying to speak to a manager, it literally has been 4 days since we heard back from them. They recently notified us that they hired a professional pest control person who quote-unquote "found no signs / activity of bed bugs". I understand that bed bugs are inevitable at hotels in a sense because people can bring them to the hotel like it's not fully on them but the way they handled the whole situation was not right. They've hung up on a few of us or promised a general manager would call us back but again nothing. Now every time the bride thinks of her wedding she'll unfortunately think about this incident rather than being in her wedding honeymoon phase. This is a NEW hotel. NEW NEW NEW. Meaning everything from the sheets to the tiles on the bathroom floor are new. LOCATION: This hotel is right off route 130. It's close to shops galore and dining. I dined out the few days i was here and enjoyed the restaurants in the vicinity. SERVICE: I wound up in this hotel for a few days not knowing this. I was tired, I was cranky, I was hungry and tired and cranky! I pull up to this hotel and was greeted by a bowl of energy and enthusiasm. WOW! They asked me how I was, they were eager to unburden me (wait is that grammatically correct?) I was wowed when I walked in, so +2 there for service. Finishing my reservation and getting checked in was easy. They were swift in checking me in, no fumbles at the front desk. And once I was in my room if i needed anything i picked up the phone and someone was able to help (extra towels, extra soap, etc) They also have a hotel shuttle. I'm not sure where it goes or how it works but its worth inquiring if you need a shuttle! ROOMS: The room I had was a suite. WOW WOW WOW. This place ritzy. There was a small kitchen area, living room area, and bedroom area. Almost like a small luxury studio with a bedroom nook. I like the fact that the television can swivel to/from views in the bedroom/living area. The rooms are comfortable, cozy, clean, smelled great, and had climate control apparatus on the wall. Nice design as well definitely felt like you were in a plush hotel. 2 things I like: 1) full fridge, and 2) iHome radio with bluetooth. very nice. The bathrooms were also SUPER CLEAN and spacioius. overall I was impressed with the rooms. I couldn't hear into the next room so points for that. I also had a nice view of the pond behind the hotel. +2 and extra points for that. HOTEL GROUNDS: The hotel has a fire pit, gym, and swimming pool. I don't swim, but if you do im sure you'll enjoy it. The gym is open 24/7 which is a nice plus. The grounds are kept well. I think i saw basketball court or some kind of court in the back of the hotel. There is also parking in the back with views of the pond. At times I went out back and stared at the pond while drinking my sparkling water. The lobby is plush, with couches and chairs everywhere, a fireplace and televisions as well. Free breakfast!! Can't beat that! Overall I was impressed. This hotel easily beats out the other hotels in the area. I WILL BE BACK as i had an incredible time here. The staff here epitomize what customer service is all about. I will be back and yes I'm telling all my friends about this place. I'm not easily impressed but they impressed me. read more

There's a great outdoor area with fire pits and seating that makes for a great late-night hangout. Customer service is an absolute joke! Upon arrival I was barely greeted by the girl at the front desk, Britanie, and asked how much a room for one would be. She scoffed. When I asked why she scoffed, she simply and rudely stated "you just don't look like someone that would stay here". I was absolutely appauled. How can someone be so negative and ignorant towards another person!? Needless to say, Residence Inn will NEVER get my business again and I stay in this area frequently. This is close to a 5 star hotels seriously it's really nice. From the check in to our actual room we had nothing but an exceptional experience. They guy working at the front who checked us in was awesome. He let us know about the hotel, amenities and told us where to find things. Once we got to our room, it was huge, obviously brand new and extremely well thought out floor plan wise. My biggest regret was not bringing a bathing suit and sneakers for the gym. The only reason why it's not 5 stars is because the curtains leave a streak uncovered and we woke up early due to the light coming in. We kept trying to close them but it is just the design. Minor issue but when you've been at a wedding all night, you want to sleep in. read more

I really enjoyed staying here at the residence inn. We did not have any problems with the air conditioner being too cold etc. There is a full kitchen in the suites ... including a dishwasher. Breakfast is decent with eggs, sausage, oatmeal, waffles, fruit, juice, coffee etc. Indoor pool and fitness center. Close to a shoprite, Walmart, and food eateries. If I could give 4.5 stars I would. This hotel was lovely. We loved the walk-in shower and the mini kitchen. It was clean, beautifully appointed, quiet, and oh so comfortable. A nice surprise was the easy access to Netflix through the TV. The front desk staff was exceptionally courteous and helpful. All we missed was access to ice and a more comfortable couch, which was a bit stiff. Easy access to the highways too. We travel between DC and NYC regularly so we will stay here again. read more

When we arrived at the hotel our room's AC was out and it was the last 2 room suite in the hotel. The hotel manager went to work to make things right. He was able to put us in a room next to the other people we were traveling with and gave the opportunity to put our kids to sleep and stay up. It's really easy to do good when things are going your way, it shows real character to do good when things aren't. read more

I stayed with a friend here because of the separate rooms and kitchens. My friend arrived before I did. They had a key for me at the desk. The first thing o noticed was how hot the room was. It was 78 f and it was set to go to 66. In the few hours we hung out in the room it never dropped a degree, so we called the desk and a man came up looked at the wall penal for about ten seconds and left. We decided we may as well go out to eat. Got back a few hours later and it was now 79 and the front desk had no clue someone had been up there. Finally we got the room across the hall. No help at all from staff, they could have at least brought up a rolling cart. Finally we got in the other room and I had to open and make the sofa bed. The sofa bed was one of the worst beds I have ever slept in, I could feel every spring. I finally ended up sleeping on the couch cushion lounge part. It was better than the mattress, but not by much. We also tried the snacks, they need to haveo9 someone serving, everyone had their hands all over the snacks, there was a salad but the onions were so strong you couldn't taste anything else. Parking was fine, the room was ok except for the heat. We should have been offered something to compensate for being uncomfortable for hours. read more

This hotel has great service! Friendly staff that is prompt and eager to help. We stayed here with our baby and it was the perfect hotel for our needs. From clean laundry facilities to the complimentary happy hour to the Pack 'n Play, we were very satisfied by our visit. It is a little bit of a trek to get to good restaurants, but the hotel itself was great. In particular, Melissa, Courtney, and Valerie were so helpful. I would stay here again if we needed to. There is some road noise, but nothing a good sound machine can't mitigate. read more

Stayed here the first week of February for a wedding. Stayed one night. In addition to the charge for the room, I was charged another $40.00. I noticed it on my bank account and was never informed by the hotel. It was not on my receipt. When I contacted the hotel about a week later, they told me that the charge was a hold for incidentals and that it should have "fallen off" a few business days later. This person also told me that since I am not a current guest, there is "nothing" she can do about it and that I would have to contact my bank about the charge to dispute it. It took me leaving a bad review directly through their site to be contacted by Sarah Cartwright, the Operations Manager to receive some unhelpful emails explaining that they charge $20 a night for incidentals but it should have been refunded and the front desk person should have explained this to me. She never let me know when the money would be refunded. As I am writing this review, I have still not received the money back. No updates from Ms. Cartwright, just sent her another email today. Hotel is nothing special. I wonder how much money they make, banking on people who aren't carefully checking their account statements. Moral of the story, if you have to stay with them, make sure you ask for them to take the incidental charge off your card before you check out. But you should try to stay elsewhere if possible. read more

They put us in a handicapped room that was not as clean but when we told the guy at the front desk he told us that they were completely booked.
