The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The lobby looks and smells clean. Breakfast was good. The breakfast attendant kept everything stocked up with delicious food and the seating area was cleaned. My room "looked clean" but when I got settled in I was deceived. I took a bath and at eye level I notice feces on the side of the toilet. Disgusting.!!! and when I went to lay down for bed, there was blood on the sheets. That's how diseases are spread. This means that the housekeeper did not clean the room like he/she were supposed to I laid in someone's else's filth .I brought it to the front desk attention. The lady offered me a new room, but I was already settled in for the week. I asked for new sheets and she gave them to me. She offered to make the bed up for me and to clean the toilet, but I did it myself using bleach. read more

Stayed here on July 31st and the carpet was sticky as though something had been spilled on it. When we woke up the morning of August 1st a red bug was on the sheets and when swatted it exploded blood on the sheets in the surrounding area. Luckily we only brought a small bag with toiletries and a single nights change so we inspected everything closely and left as quickly as possible. My wife developed 3 large welts on her hands and 1 on her legs from bites later that day. Hopefully they can get an exterminator in there. This place was not run down looking, it looked like most modern Hampton Inns. If this keeps anyone from possibly getting bitten it's worth it, especially if you have children. read more

I am a Diamond member with Hilton, which means I stay a lot. The front desk attendants are friendly and welcoming, the property is a little dated along with the rooms. There were 2 breakfast attendants, 1 day the attendant was friendly, welcoming and cheerful, unfortunately she was only there one day if my 3 day stay. The other two morning there was a different attendant, each morning I greeted her with "good morning " to no response and even had a scowl in her face. The room was decent and clean. However, there were 4 of us staying there for 3 nights and we were only given 2 tiny trash cans and they were not offering standard room service unless we specifically asked for it. We just stayed at another Hampton Inn by Hilton in Vancouver, Wa and we had 4 or 5 trash cans. Weird thing, I know but like I said there were 4 of us for 3 nights. The rooms and hotel itself was a bit outdated. Vending machines were absent. Elevators and ice machines were old and rickety. They offer free breakfast, which is supposed to be from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. but they put a piece of masking tape over the 10 and wrote a 9. I went down for breakfast and stood there at the counter where there was a piece of paper that said what they had available for breakfast, but there were no instructions on how to get it. After 5 minutes of waiting and no one there I saw an open entrance and thought we were supposed to go in there and get our own food. As soon as I walked in I heard a woman shout from the back and tell me I'm not supposed to be in there and that she's supposed to serve me. I told her I didn't know because I had been standing there for so long and there were no instructions. She finally came out and was extremely rude. "What you want?" So I asked what flavors of yogurt she had and she huffed loudly, opened the refrigerator and says "yoplait and Activia". Ummm, ok I asked for flavors but whatever. I ordered some cereal for my daughter, eggs, sausage, yogurt and a muffin with milk. She hands me everything and I'm struggling to hold my coffee, the bowl, plastic ware, plate of food and milk. I head back to my room. My son goes down and comes up with a nice big tray and two plates of food with plenty of napkins and drinks and he said she was really nice giving him more than what he asked for because as he put it, she said "oh no sweetie, you're gonna need more than that." So my husband, my son and I went down the next morning together. Same lady was there and saw me, gave me the death stare and again said "what you want.... I was just about to close up." It was 8:40 and she had already taken all the food, placed them on plates and was storing them in the microwave. If breakfast is done at 9, then why is everything put away at 8:40 and why am I getting an attitude? Anyway, we got our food and this time none of us got a tray and she wasn't friendly with my son since she saw he was with me. She definitely made us feel like we were not welcome there and inconveniencing her so we didn't even bother her this morning and instead spent extra money to go to Cracker Barrel down the street. I frequent this area in my travels since I have family here and we definitely will not stay here again. I think we'll try the Holiday Inn next door. read more

I'm sure I have stay at over 30 Hampton Inns and have never mentioned a word about any of them. Generally, as a chain, they all tend to be rather identical cookie cutter with nothing distinguishing one from the other. However this particular Hampton way exceeded my expectations. The friendliness and thoughtfulness of service was exquisite. My room was exceptionally large, with a huge king bed, clean and well decorated. The breakfast was far better than in most with tasty omelets, sausage and fresh cut fruit bowl dishes. Also, in the morning, they set out bags of food for everyone to take with them for a snack during the day, which is something I have never experienced at any other Hampton Inn. I found this most refreshing and had to let it be known, because, as I type I am located in another Hampton Inn in Mason, Ohio that can't even come close to the quality of the Hampton on Halifax Drive, Colombia, Tennessee. As a matter of fact some of the Hampton's now appear to be getting old and in serious need of being refurbished. read more

Yet another case of the "I wish Yelp had 2.5 stars" syndrome. Look, it's a Hampton. On many levels, it's fine, but could use some "sprucing up." My room 201 was a bit worn, and the A/C made my allergies explode. It may have at one time been a smoking room based on the stale scents... As soon as I walked outside of the building, it all cleared up. Towels seem a bit worn for Hampton prices. It's not the worst Hampton branded location I've been at, but most certainly NOT in the upper 50 percentile. There is a brand new Marriott next door... maybe next time? read more

Pre-arrival check-in worked as advertised. Room was in great shape and as selected. I had seen previous concerns about road noise from interstate but even though no more rooms of type selected were available on side away from road, was not a problem for me. This is a smaller hotel-65 rooms but is always clean and friendly. I now use the Hilton app and love that I can confirm my room Day of and pick out the room I want from what is available. This particular hotel hotel only has an outdoor pool that is closed in the winter-which is the only time we come thru this way. It is just outside of Nashville and when heading North makes a perfect time to head thru in the morning. read more

This hotel is very nice, but the curtain design is absolutely ridiculous. I understand it is intended to keep the curtains off the air-conditioning unit, but full sun blasting in my face at 5:30 AM is unpleasant. When I'm traveling out of town, it's one of the few times I can actually sleep in during my busy life, and that certainly did not happen at this establishment. read more

After 6 nights here over 2 stays, I can say this is one of the better Hampton Inns that I've been to. The rooms and lobby area have been redone with modern touches. The rooms are spacious with a mini fridge and microwave. The wireless internet has been great. My room facing the back side of the hotel away from the highway was relatively quiet, and the beds in both of my rooms were very comfy. (I have been to some hotels on different occasions and gotten very different levels of bed comfort, so the consistency from stay to stay is key.) I really wish I could give it 5 stars, but I just can't due to the immediate surrounding area. There really isn't much close by in terms of shopping and restaurants. There are a couple things nearby (Cracker Barrell, Burger King, Arby's, Waffle House, and a little mom and pop place), but not really sustainable for longer visits where going out to dinner every night is required. If you are going to stay here just one or two nights or just passing through on a long trip, I would definitely recommend staying here. Unfortunately, my future visits to this area will be longer stays, and the area is just too inconvenient. I spent 3 nights at the Hampton Inn in Franklin last week, and although the surrounding area had much more to offer, I was not impressed with the hotel and was happy to be coming back to this one in Columbia this week. I wish this hotel could be picked up and placed in a better location where it's not a 15 minute drive to a decent restaurant or major store. read more

I was travelling with my 3 children on my own without my wife, our big eclipse voyage. ON route to Nashville, we experienced a flat tire on I65 outside of Nashville, 4 hours later we were back on the road and arrived at Hampton Inn Columbia at 9pm. Jason the front desk manager greeted us with a warm welcome and said he had heard about our struggles during the trip with our flat and wished us well for the remainder of the voyage, advising we had something special waiting for us in our room. He also offered a Cracker Barrel gift card to help us with our late supper. We made our way to the room to find a lovely message from the manager (Darleina) of the hotel, offering her sympathies for our experience on route and wishing us well for the remainder of the trip. A star bucks gift card was enclosed. There was also a basket of snacks and crafts for the kids. After such a long journey (starting at 3am that morning), a 4 hour delay in Louisville, this welcome was simply lovely, I can't say enough about this team. I have to recommend to you I wonderful hotel that my wife and I stayed at on our way here from South Florida it's called the Hampton Inn and it is absolutely wonderful. The rooms are spacious and lovely decorated very nice they have exceptional plumbing and they serve a wonderful breakfast every morning from 630to 10:00 AM he can have scrambled eggs bacon sausage you can have a waffle Belgian waffle actually you can have three or four of them if you want to you can have fruit yogurt whatever I missing please forgive me Anthony is just a wonderful place for you when you're tired of driving or you're tired of anything. May I say to that they do have an exceptional staff. Whether you're going cross country on a trip or we are moving from one state to another please consider the Hampton Inn as a home away from home they went head over hills behind give us excellent service at a reasonable price! It was one of the best things about our trip up here. So we really have to say thank you in such a lovely place exists in such wonderful people in it! read more
