Check in was smooth as I had booked 2 rooms for two nights on line. First room was ok. Second room was very musty smelling as the ac unit wasn't running. We unloaded our things and quickly left to meet family. When we return, room two smelled much better as we had left the ac running. However, there was a bag of trash left by our door by housekeeping. I called the front desk and asked it be removed and 3 hours later it was still there. I went to shower and noticed dead "Rollie pollies" on the bathroom floor and mildew in the tub's caulking. Room had not been cleaned very good. McDonalds trash on floor.toilet was not clean. Linens did not smell fresh. Mirror in bathroom had not been cleaned. Beds and pillows were very old and in need of replacements. The tv was setting on the only place where you could put your belongings. The shower floor was slimy, slick & nasty. Lobby looked ok. Breakfast food looked like the average, didn't try that after trying the coffee, which was undrinkable. read more

This was our second time to stay at this particular hotel. The first visit was a great experience!! This last time, they called while we were enroule asking what time we would be arriving as they had several late checkouts. We arrived and checkout was okay. We weren't in a handicap accessible room (my husband has mobility issues). When we returned from dinner, there was a stink bug on the lamp shade on the desk! The next morning we called to ask for a late checkout, as I am a colorectal cancer survivor and have issues at times and this was a time. They said no late checkouts. We are a rewards member and should have been given a guaranteed late checkout. I don't think we'll be staying there on our next visit. Although it is clean and recently upgraded, we don't need to pay what we pay for a room to deal with rude employees!! read more

On my second stay there in the past two months I ran into a major inconvenience. The first stay was fine. It's a no thrills Fairfield Inn by Marriott. Like most Fairfield Inns it's clean enough, kinda tired looking, but for the most part it's just ok. The second stay though is where I have to give it 1 star. I had booked the hotel 4 weeks prior to my stay for 2 nights. I was working in the area and checked in on my APP. However, hours after checking in my wife received a call at 9pm stating that the hotel had been overbooked and they had no room for me. When I called back to the hotel regarding the issue I was met with rudeness from the staff. I get it they overbooked, but when I inquired how that could happen the lady stated "It just did and I can't help you, goodbye." I have titanium status with Marriott, as I stay in one of their hotels at least 100 nights per year, and the best they could do at 9pm was to tell me they couldn't help me. Will I book there again? No. Was I stunned by the unprofessionalism? Yes. Is the hotel clean? Sure. read more

By far the best hotel staff I have ever met, anywhere at any hotel! From the moment we arrived and over the course of our stay, the lobby staff was absolutely amazing! One employee really stood out, though. Her name is Daisica and she was literally one of the nicest people my wife and I have ever met. She happily greeted us when we walked in the door and after quickly getting us checked in, she spent 15 to 20 minutes, just chatting with us. She is a beautiful soul and truly an asset to the Fairfield Inn and the entire Marriott chain! Her attitude is infectious and if you could bottle it up and sell it, you'd make millions! We quickly found out over the remainder of our stay, that the rest of the hotel staff is equally amazing, so maybe it's just true "Southern Hospitality" at its best. We look forward to our next stay and cannot recommend this the hotel high enough! read more

Pleasantly surprised at the comfort and amenities of this hotel. They could've charged more and I would have been happy to pay. One of the more comfortable hotel beds I've been in and one of the nicest bathrooms. Even though it was during the COVID craziness, they offered pre-packaged brown bag grab and go breakfast. Again, I was pleasantly surprised because I expected no breakfast at all. The staff was incredible. Especially Mr. Brown. I could listen to his stories all day! We were working in the Columbia area for several days back in October. We chose the Fairfield as the HQ for our team. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff provided friendly service. Unfortunately, we had to leave early each morning so we did not get to eat breakfast. Overall, good location and good place to stay. read more

The in and out is a bit hard to negotiate. Be ready to make that turn. It really is just feet after the turn. Parking was good near the door. The elevator is a bit slow but not bad. Room was clean and beds comfy. It was freezing when we entered the room and it took some time to get to livable temp. I got up in the morning and did Tai Chi outside the pool. Nice to be outside. Breakfast was a bit above regular motel fare and the staff was attentive and helpful. I liked it. read more

Excellent Wi-Fi. There is free Wi-Fi and there is a paid, higher speed option ($6.00/night). The free Wi-Fi was sufficient to watch movies on Netflix. Delicious, fresh-baked cookies at the front desk. Friendly staff. Half-decent free breakfast. It could have been better. Iron, ironing board, refrigerator, and microwave in the room. Great bathroom, awesome shower. Very comfortable bed. Plenty of space in the room. The TV was a bit of a nuisance: it kept getting very dim and there was no option in the settings to turn off whatever that feature was. Very easy access to electrical outlets: there were three lamps in the room (one on each night stand and one at the desk) and each had two outlets on their bases). The desk has an additional four outlets. There was an iHome that I could use as an alarm clock or hook up my phone via Bluetooth. One day my room was not cleaned. Not sure if they forgot or what. I usually stay at Holiday Inn Expresses when I travel for business, but after staying here I will start looking for Fairfields. read more

We drove an extra 20 minutes away from our destination to stay here at this specific hotel because of great reviews. Despite requesting a very quiet room off the road when making the reservation, they put us right on the road side. And because check in ended up being late, they now have zero rooms on the other side of the hotel. After hearing tons of road noise, two ambulances, a police car AND fire trucks (all within 15 minutes), we called to pretty much beg for the quiet room we had originally requested when booking and were told "well, that's all we have. You could try pulling the shade to see if that helps...or maybe try earplugs". Yes, verbatim. Are you serious?!? $190 for a room that you can hear every single car driving by, and we are told to pull the shades or use ear plugs. Great. read more

Relatively new hotel off I-65. Very clean, friendly and helpful staff. For the price the complimentary breakfast buffet was satisfying. Coffee excellent. If your visit to middle Tennessee is south of Franklin, TN this location avoids most of the crazy traffic congestion around the metropolitan Nashville. read more

Very clean and new hotel! The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was quiet and dark! We enjoyed the breakfast and coffee that had a waffle maker, eggs, sausage, cereal, pastries, and fresh fruit. The pool was indoors but still very nice. The hotel staff was very friendly as well. Clean, new Fairfield just south of Nashville. Easy access off the interstate. Not many eating options around. It's always a positive when you can find a new Fairfield and there's one here. The beds are comfortable and the workout facility works. The only negative is that the rooms are a little loud and you can hear voices and tv sounds from the neighbors. Would stay here again when passing thru. read more
