We hadn't planned on being in Clarion but had a family member in the hospital there, and ended up staying three nights. I can't say enough about how much we appreciated the kindness and hospitality of the staff. Everyone was so helpful! Our room was very comfortable and clean, and after long days, we appreciated great nights of sleep! We hope to visit Clarion again someday under better circumstances, be we are so grateful that Hampton made our stay so pleasant. read more

We stayed one night on a cross-country trip and were highly satisfied. The room was very comfortable and had a number of nice touches like excellent storage in the large bathroom, hooks on the wall in the entryway for coats, and luxurious towels. Our only (slight) complaint was that the easy chair was not very comfortable. The breakfast room attendant, Esmarelda, was highly diligent and also a lot of fun to talk to. I checked in late last night and the front desk girl with freckles was so helpful. I have Parkinson's so I'm extremely shakey. She could tell so she offered to help me get to my room. Than I locked myself out of my room by accident and a guest came down and told her. She came right up and helped me get back in she also offered to get me ice because she saw that's what I was trying to do. I stayed here recently while driving through Pennsylvania. Based on my experience I would stay here again and would recommend it to anyone needing a hotel in the Clarion area. The hotel itself is updated with contemporary decor, including the rooms. The front desk staff was so friendly and accommodating, even at 12 AM when we arrived. The rooms were neat, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast is included in your stay, and I would recommend taking advantage of it -- it has a great deal of variety and kept everyone in my group happy. The location is very convenient to the interstate, so you can easily continue your journey after a good night's sleep at the Hampton Inn in Clarion. read more

Since Clarion is the halfway point in a long drive I frequently make, I will be staying here again. I strongly advise you look into hiring better management and replacing the ones you do have. Kinza is the worst manager I have ever dealt with while staying at a hotel. The rooms can definitely be cleaner, also. She could at least compensate the guests for the issues they had to face, especially since they were not issues on the fault of the guests. She complains about the staff instead of fixing the issues. A real manager faces challenges with solutions to problems instead of just voicing more problems. My coworker and I had booked three nights at the Hampton Inn, due to work sending us to Clarion. Upon arrival, we entered the front lobby and we're greeted by two friendly women who checked us in. They gave us the spiel about the continental breakfast, and restaurants in the area, etc. We made our way to the second floor and got to our room. Ok, I wasn't going to say anything to my coworker, but, what the heck is that smell? I looked at her and she looked at me. We both started laughing because the hallway was filled someone's upset stomach from a bad night of Mexican food. Whew. We hurried to our room. The room was clean and spacious. Enough for what we needed for the three nights. The WiFi we were given, worked the first night and went all wonky with us for the rest of the trip, causing me to fly through my data. The second night we were there, the key card stopped working and neither of us could get into the room (annoying). A big complaint? There are no fans in the bathroom!! It's bizarre and skeevy, since you can see where the mold build up grows on the ceiling and they wipe it away. Eww. The breakfast offered every morning is decent and seems to be the same layout every day. I would say the staff is the best assist to the hotel and their customer service made the stay a little nicer. read more

The hotel was nice. When I checked out on Sunday, October 13 I mistakenly left my undergarments in the drawer next to the fridge. When I realize this after I got home and packed I called the hotel at 7 o'clock that evening. They informed me the room had not been cleaned yet which I found suspicious. I called Monday morning October 14 at 9 o'clock and they told me they would call me back, they did not. I again called Monday afternoon at about 3:15 PM and they informed me that nobody turned my items in. I had a family emergency and had to leave very quickly so packed rather quickly. I never forget items but this time I did and yes it was my mistake but you trust the hotel staff to turn your items in. I had four bras, at least four pairs of panties, and about six pairs of socks in that drawer. Over $250 worth of items exclamation! Not at all happy with the hotel personnel telling me that "they're usually pretty good about turning items in "... Unacceptable. I'm a gold member for Hilton honors and usually get much better treatment than that. I will not stay at that hotel ever again read more

This hotel was considerably more expensive than the new holiday inn express next door, and I booked the Hampton only after the holiday inn website kept freezing up. I should have kept trying. the room I got looked like it had not been updated in 20 years. The furniture is old and pretty beat up. The carpets looked old. They had the air conditioning on full blast, the room was 60' when I checked in. It was like a meat locker. It was not a hot day either. The walls looked dirty. It was more like a cheap motel than a Hampton inn. If I could have canceled I would have. The breakfast was ok. The staff was friendly though. To sum it up, for the price of the room and expectations I had for a Hampton inn, I was disappointed. read more

This location was not up to the standards of other Hampton Inns I have stayed at. There was no minifridge, no microwave, no hot tub, and no laundry facilities. Comparing it to my next most recent hotel stay last January at a Super 8 in San Antonio, the room here not only lacked the amenities but was smaller and cost more than twice as much. Even allowing for regional differences means this Hampton Inn is ridiculously overpriced. Breakfast was above average with hot options, but that did not make up for the other drawbacks, among them the fact that because I made an online reservation they have my email and keep hounding me to complete surveys. Friendly staff, facility feels new, great air conditioning control, comfortable beds and good shower flow. This is probably going to be a very odd review, but here I am, sitting in the warm sunshine in the soft green grass outside the Hampton Inn with 7 of my friends, stretching our aching limbs after 9 hours of driving in a cramped van coming out of Chicago, IL. We are flying out of Providence tonight to go to the Fringe Festival in Scotland, where I play an 8 year old boy and a pregnant lady who has nine children. (Yes, I am a versatile actor and I'm available for hire, all you hot-shot producers in Clarion, PA.) I'm still not exactly sure why we can't print out our boarding passes at the airport in Providence, but I trust my director and everything she does because she is a very smart lady. Anyways, here we are. We couldn't find a Kinko's so we stopped at this inviting-looking hotel hoping beyond all hope that their customer service would extend to a rag-tag group of strangers. And the customer service was unparalleled! Not only did they say yes, but they spent about half an hour fixing their printer just so we could use it and waste all their ink on pages that were supposed to be our boarding passes but were not. Do you have any idea how much ink costs? It's expensive! Do you think Hampton Inn is just drowning in ink? It is not. In fact, it was very clean and the bathroom smelled like cookies. In short, we did not get our boarding passes because of the airline not having them ready, but should I ever find myself in this part of the country ever again, I would be happy to lay my head on one of their probably very fluffy pillows. read more

Have stayed here in the past. Upon arrival no one at front desk. A note said in Kitchen will be back later. No idea where Kitchen was located. Note was over 20 minutes old. Waited about 5 min and then tried calling hotel. After several minutes of listening to phone ring, a woman (Heather) came to desk that seemed be offended that someone was there. Very curt, nasty. Asked what I wanted. I asked for availability for room for two adults, two beds. Asked if I had a reservation, I stated no, that's why I wanted to know availability and rates. She quoted $130. I asked for military discount, again she was offended, stated I needed ID that she would have to see. I produced ID, she quoted $109. I started to copy all the times she had been away from the desk (about 8 to 10 entries), she ripped note from my had. I checked in and called corporate office. Got a "standard" form letter. Called back corporate and got woman who did not want to hear from me. I had asked first lady if they had a website, facebook etc., that I could review their hotel. She asked for a couple days for manager to get back to me. It's been a couple days. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! Service is terrible! When I asked for receipt in morning, found that Heather had raised rate without my permission. Woman at desk corrected. This place will attempt to rip you off! There are many other hotels and motels in the area. Choose someone that values a customer. read more
