Poorly run hotel. I have now stayed here 2 times and never again! Here are my list of issues. 1. mold on my bathroom ceiling 2. chair is too short at the desk to even use the desk 3. breakfast is abysmal 4. floors are dirty 5. air con is so loud I need ear plugs to sleep. 6. barely any water pressure This place wants to charge you over 150 bucks!!! I talked to the hotel staff and told them all the issues. Their response was "yeah we tell the owner all the time". You just lost 5 months of my business and I have already told quite a few to avoid staying here. Dont be a cheap franchise owner for Hilton and ruin the brand. I will also be reporting the facility to Hilton as I am quite positive this is nowhere close to their brand image. read more

This is BY FAR the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The towels were not clean, there were crumbs and dust all over and under the beds. Mold in the ceilings and bathroom. Carpet was dirty. Sheets looked old. Mattress had yellow stains all over. A/c was so loud. There was a Mario kart figure under the pull out couch. Shower was moldy and stained. BAD BAD BAD. Adequate This Hampton Inn location could be described as adequate. It is a good shelter for the night however it leaves a lot to be desired. The shades in my room were lopsided with random bits of string hanging. The tile portion of the floor could use a deep scrubbing. The AC worked ok but it didn't leave the room super cold like I enjoy. In addition the pool was out of order. Also, there were random snarky notices around the hotel which screamed "inhospitable". There were numerous notices about not entering the hotel with dirty shoes. Many notices were placed around about not smoking with handwritten "smile your on camera" at the bottom. The notices at the reception counter warned not to try to check in early. Idk. Perhaps they've been having trouble with dirty-shoed smokers who try to check in early. All I'm saying is, it did not feel welcoming. That being said, the employees were extremely nice and helpful. The free WiFi had a strong signal. There was limitless hot coffee in the lobby and free breakfast in the morning. The room had clean towels and linens. I felt safe in this hotel traveling alone. I also like that this location is close to restaurants and the interstate. read more

We are big fans of Hampton Inn, staying at them all over the country due to consistency in cleanliness, room standards, free breakfast, and hospitality. We had also stayed in this specific property a few times, but not in the last few years. Prior stays have been great. How things have changed, and not for the better! We are currently "guests" at this property for the Thanksgiving holiday week, and this will likely be the last. The hotel is undergoing a remodel which was not disclosed to us when we made the reservation. When we checked in Sunday afternoon, we were assigned to a room. After we exited the elevator and started down the hallway, we encountered a hallway filled with paint cans, construction materials and workers. When we got to the room, the door was open and being painted. The workers informed us that they still had one more coat to apply. Other doors were in various stages of being painted. The paint fumes in the room and hallway were overwhelming. We asked to be moved to another room away from the painting. We were moved to another floor where our room had been "remodeled". Apparently this franchisee chose the budget package from the remodel options. There is very little storage in the room. The cabinets are cheap; window covering barely covers the window, letting light in around the window. Pulling out a sliding shelf in the bathroom resulted in the handle falling off. Then, the painting and construction began in earnest again the next morning. Yes, our room had been "finished", but apparently not the rooms around us! In summary, the expected restful stay was filled with noise from early morning until late in the day, with an added bonus of continual paint fumes permeating the room 24x7. This is clearly the worst stay we've ever had at a Hampton. Unfortunately we don't have another option while in town. On a positive note, the staff is very friendly, helpful and apologetic for the experience. They get the star. read more

I've always had Great expectations on any Hampton Inns. I booked this hotel on Hotels.com as we were passing by Brookhaven. The reviews on trip advisor and hotels.com or pretty close to excellent. So I'm really surprised why it didn't measure up to yelpers. I've always trusted yelpers . I feel like the reviews are a lot more honest. We got here past midnight and the front entrance is in construction. There's NO SIGN pointing to where guests should go to check in. I drove on the side and saw a door hoping it's open. Luckily, it is and we got a parking spot just by that door. We got in our room and I'm pleased to see and smell clean. This is a top priority for me and we've so far had good luck with Hampton Inns. It didn't take long to get the kids tucked in and everyone sleeping. In the morning, I noticed the toilet bowl with visible stains in it (yuck). Cleaners need to scrub clean toilets every after user!!! As far as breakfast, it's disappointing. My kids won't even take another bite of the scrambled eggs and sausages. Good thing there's good ol fruit loops and waffles so we made do with breakfast. The breakfast area is clean though and the ambiance in good despite the front entrance construction going-on. Overall, it's still a decent stay. But this location needs to keep up with Hampton standard! read more

I told them I was covered in bedbug bites and the lady didn't even acknowledge I said anything, the 3 people that were standing next to her all just dropped their heads and walked off. I realize now they knew this is a problem and just chose to ignore it. I'm posting this so hopefully nobody else have to go through this itching and pain I am going through. I am going to the doctor tomorrow because of the swelling and itching and pain in my joints because of this now. Everyone that plan to stay here after 10/23/24 just make sure they have done something. I stayed on the the 3rd floor room 321. I have never posted anything like this before but if they would have responded differently I may have not. I would think they would have responded differently like we are sorry, I can't believe this happened, but that's not what happened. I hope I don't have a crazy reaction worse than what I am already dealing with. Just be aware they are selling rooms with bedbugs and didn't acknowledge that they are. read more

Room was adequate. Shades didn't go up and bathroom had mold on ceiling and air vent. Corners of bathroom floor could have been cleaner. Breakfast was good. Most importantly front desk staff was very unfriendly. They were not welcoming, no smile, felt more so like they didn't want to be there. Not a good impression was given upon check in. Replied to their check out survey expressing concerns and manager replied saying "hope my next stay is better." That's it? No apology? No nothing. Well I tell ya what, this ain't the Bellagio, but shit, what you expect in brokehaven? First thoughts, mmm this place kinda dingy if ya ask me. Not much lighting in your room, breakfast is ALWAYS worse than other Hampton inns, but they do usually have plenty of cookies. And we all know my fat ass is a sucker for a free cookie. Okay so I am pretty upset. Me, my husband and son (2year old) checked into this hotel two days ago. We got here pretty late the first night, but when my husband left for work, I was laying in the bed with my son and I see a big bed bug crawl across the cover!! Then I start to look and there are many bed bugs crawling under our cover!!! This is the first time this has ever happened to us. So I call the front and tell them what's going on and they come up to check. As they are looking at the bugs and investigating, they literally hardly say a word to me about it. It was very awkward. They weren't sorry this happened. They did give me another room. So I finally get in a different room and it only has one bed. So the lady that was investigating told me at 11 they would have me another room. So I call around 11 and the front desk lady was very rude to me, which is annoying. I just feel that they do not care about having good customer service!! And now today my son has sooo many bumps and red rashes on his body. Everyone, please check your room before staying! I usually do, but we got in late and thought this was a nice place to stay so we weren't that worried. Hope this helps others!! read more

This was an awful place to stay. I had to kill multiple roaches. The air conditioner was so loud it had it hard to sleep or hear the TV. The shower drain was clogged up and the price is outrageous. The dryer didn't work, the hotel is old and the door was hard to lock. The worse part is the unfriendly staff. My fiancé and I booked a room on October 15th for a wedding that was on November 9th through the internet and selected the advance purchase meaning that our room would be paid for at the time of booking and that no additional hidden fees would appear. However after staying the night when we went to the desk to check out the guest service clerk Tiffany stated she needed a card to put on file just for incidentals and that the card would not be charged due to the room was already paid for. After giving Tiffany the card it IMMEDIATELY withdrew money from our account. We noticed this after we'd ALREADY gotten on the road back to TN which was an 3 hr and 58min drive. Once we made it back to the hotel Tiffany stated the refund will be reversed in the next few hours and that she would put it in their "book" for records. At this time it was 11am. We didn't have a problem with that. My fiancé and I decided to go visit family to give the charge time to refund. So about 3pm we checked the card and still there was no refund. So we decided to call and Rachel a new GSC and she stated their system was down and there was no recollection of this occurrence. So once again we drove BACK to the hotel and after telling Rachel the story she stated that she would have the charge reversed by 5pm. We decided to go ahead and get in the road. 5pm rolled around and guess what , THE CHARGE STILL HADN'T BEEN REVERSED. We called back and Rachel then stated it should be back in the account on Monday. Monday comes and goes as well as Tuesday and STILL no refund and Rachel nor Tiffany was in office and the GSC LACEY called herself getting smart because she wasn't aware of the situation. Which I still don't understand why she was agitated as if her card was charged and was constantly giving inconsistencies, (but that's another story). ANYWHO I spoke with Tiffany finally on Wednesday and she told me to call back on Thursday to speak with the manager because she doesnt know why the card was charged. By this time I was fed up and opened a claim with corporate. I eventually spoke with the manager Jennifer on THURSDAY and She stated that it would be 4-5 days. Today is Friday which makes it day 5 and it is currently 9:30pm. Don't ask if there's been a refund issue BECAUSE IT HAS NOT! I'm over it now! Corporate emailed and now they are saying it generally takes 7days for a refund. SEVEN DAYS???? If we were told that initially we wouldn't be so upset. Whoever is training these GSC needs training as well! This has been the most inconsistent, unprofessional and distasteful experience I've ever had to encounter. Sunday will be the 7th day. We will see if we EVER get a refund. read more

This place is just fine clean and quiet just like the other 100 Hamptons I stay in. No you don't eat at a Hampton for hot eggs and full breakfast. Garden inn is for that! I'm a diamond member with 320 stays under my belt. Listen the town is not all that great. I would stay here again! People complain to much. I have my family with me two kids and wife shower and room was clean. Anyway, yes most Hamptons are new or remodeling. Bottom line is it's ok. read more

Hampton Inns are known for setting a standard with their facilities but this one seems to miss the mark. Air quality was extremely musty - you could smell the mold - very humid. The TV had signal issues. Everything else was actually good, but not being able to breathe well, we moved hotels after one night. read more

The Hotel staff was friendly. The Room was clean, bathroom was clean and best of all the sheets were clean. For going somewhere random, we were very pleased. The only issue was the TV wasn't working properly. Overall a very nice place to stay. read more
