We camped here for 10 days and it is getting '5' for its potential. The park is beautiful, the…read morebathrooms are well maintained, clean and heated!!! Everyone we met there working or camping were friendly. As you looked around the park you could almost sense what it was like in its glory days. There was a well planned swimming hole (though now a huge tree lay in it), there are cute gazebos sprinkled throughout the park and a great trail that circled the lake. We floated around in our kayaks and Boots even was able to fish. I spent a day cleaning a walkway/trail that was so covered with years of debris that it was slippery and dangerous. The lack of attention to this (and SO many parks across the country) is sad. And we are so close to losing these gorgeous spots due to lack of attention. An added bonus was that the little towns nearby had everything we needed for some camper repairs and such.

We finally found a grassy area next to a site to set up our tent. When we went swimming the next morning, we found a diaper floating in the water. Maybe if I visit a "Murky Springs" I will find clear waters. Not impressed. Will not be back. The only plus was the fire pit set up with a raising and lowering system which made cooking much easier.

We weren't tea drinkers and knew absolutely nothing when we arrived but felt knowledgeable and ready to venture out into the tea world by the time we left! First we headed to the nursery and fields and learned how the plants were grown and harvested. Then we headed to the Tea Shack and learned how each of the different teas were processed. Never knew so much went into tea making, it's quite the process! They have a small gift shop as well and we were able to get a new little tea pot and some tea for our new obsession! We also learned of the work they are doing with the universities with fertilizers and watering. It was a great time and I highly recommend a visit! We'll return some day for the two day harvest, that would be amazing!
