The room was not pet friendly as advertised. My cats managed to crawl into a hole left in the wall in the bathroom under the sink and hotel staff were less than helpful in getting them out. I managed to retrieve them in the long run, but not after incurring several injuries and being charged for a second day and being forced to pay for damages caused by maintenance in order to retrieve the cats. The hotel and its staff are negligible and completely unconcerned with the comfort/wellbeing of their customers and customer's pets. Hotel management has not responded to my emails asking for a refund and to pay for my medical bills. Honestly deserves 0 stars.

This hotel sits atop a hill and backs right up to Pisgah forest. If you come to Transylvania county to chase waterfalls, this is a great location. You are close to 26, Pisgah and DuPont. If you go past the Taco Bell and Walmart, you are in the correct place. The road is a little tricky to find but once you do, you wind up the hill and are surrounded by trees and a nice parking lot. The lobby had been renovated and there are canvas photos of waterfalls in the lobby. I checked in on the Hilton app and tried the digital key for the first time. I still went to the front desk to check in the conventional way. The lady at the desk could not find my reservation and did not offer me a water or anything for being Hilton Gold. The rooms are a bit dated with older furniture. I do like the duvet covers and the view of the trees was very nice. The breakfast is the same at Hampton Inns and very predictable (waffles, eggs, cereals, coffee etc). They do need a trash can near the waffle station. Every time you make a waffle you have to find a place to dump the batter cup and it is all the way on the other side. The location of this hotel is great for outdoor enthusiasts and those visiting the parks and waterfalls.

Wish I would have read the reviews before I stayed here. The rooms are old. The lighting is terrible. The furniture is outdated and dirty. The bed was miserably soft. The walls are also paper thin and all I can hear are children screaming. We are loyal Hilton customers but this is pushing it for us. We are packing our bags and finding another room for the night elsewhere.

Breakfast prepared by night audit was horrendous. Tables not wiped clean, warming tray not cleaned, and look at that kitchen!

CORPORATE office located here! I don't plan on returning. Wife is approaching diamond and they didn't recognize her gold status! Kitchen unsanitary and door left open to guests. Biscuit warmer dripping onto floor making it unsafe. Gravy was over cooked and bagel toppers soggy - at 6am, their hold time was obviously expired. Once kitchen worker arrived things cleaned up... but that was at 8am ...

A cute little touch in the ladies room

Hard to find up behind a walmart. Surly and unhelpful person at desk. Has to be the worst property with Hampton name

While all locations are not equal, most cover our basic "must have" needs: * Clean facilities * Friendly staff * Comfortable beds * Safe/Secure location * Functional showers and A/C * Free breakfast * Low noise [ THE EXPERIENCE ] The Brevard location delivers all the above in a more updated, stylish package than most hotels in its price range. Our Double Queen Bed Suite was nicely furnished and THE BATHROOM was pretty awesome. It was outfitted with a walk-in shower that used rolling glass barn doors as well as a mirror that is backlit all around the edges. The floating countertops were a pretty white Corian along with white tile floors. THE ROOM itself had your usual mini-frig & microwave plus a closet, 3-drawer dresser, desk, TV, luggage bench and lounge area with soda sleeper, coffee table and chair. There was also a small dining area with a table & two chairs. Overall it was very roomy for just the two of us. Black-out curtains, a super comfortable mattress & pillows along with quality linens made for an excellent nights sleep. I was out cold in 3 minutes after hitting the sheets! *** THE LOBBY and public areas were very attractive, but felt a little compartmentalized compared to other Comfort Inns we've stayed and the drive up entrance was a tad odd in design. Not a complaint, just an observation. This was one of the first hotels where we used the back entrance more than the front simply because it was easier. The outdoor pool was closed due to covid and a preselected breakfast was in a paper bag, but more items were available upon request... such as danishes! Coffee was available 24hrs a day. Décor included gorgeous large canvas prints of amazing nearby waterfalls and overlooks. Another hotel guest and I sat talking about many of the photos for about a half hour since I had actually been to a good number of them and he didn't know the area. *** THE STAFF was AWESOME! I wish I could remember names, but the guy we encountered at check-in and another guy at check-out were just great! The guy at check-out in particular was very helpful in suggesting nearby waterfalls, two of which are kinda local secrets I'd never heard of, so I was very grateful. On the other hand, the girl who handled the evening shift could use some people skills. You could tell she has a stand-offish personality, but GEEZ, at least acknowledge when someone comes to the concierge counter, even if she was busy doing something else. "I'll be right with you" goes a really LOOOOONG way! *** [ FINAL THOUGHTS ] I've said it before and I'll say it again, my wife and I are not very nitpicky when it comes to hotels. The basics above are all we require to give it 3-4 stars and 5 if it goes above and beyond. We are okay with small imperfections as long as our overall needs are well met. So if you ARE the particular type, take this review with a grain of salt. My hotel star ratings are not based on the BEST hotel I've ever stayed, but the best in each category. I believe a well maintained, moderately modern Comfort Inn deserves 5-stars in its price category as much as a high end, ultra-modern pricier hotel in their category. Comfort Inn Brevard delivers a very very decent package at a very decent price. We purchase our stay on points, but would have happily stayed here at regular prices. ALSO, Brevard is a GREAT home base for waterfall hunters. There are literally hundreds if not thousands of them within a 20 mile radius to explore and Comfort Inn is a great place to reset at the end of a long hiking day! You will awake happy and refreshed, ready to do it all again! GREAT NEARBY WATERFALLS INCLUDE: - Dupont Forest (High Falls, Triple Falls, Hooker Falls) - Gorges State Park (Rainbow Falls, Turtleback Falls, Drift Falls) - French Broad & Mill Shoals Falls - Upper Whitewater Falls - Daniel Ridge Falls - Looking Glass Falls - Moore Cove Falls - Skinny Dip Falls - Merry Falls - Cascade Lake Dam 2021 / 64
