Horrible experience! No ice in machines, elevators out of service and we had to carry luggage downstairs. Housekeeping drinking coffee in lobby while place was dirty. This Hampton Inn and Suites in Lafayette was a really nice play to stay and offered a wide selection of items for breakfast for all taste buds. This hotel was very clean and nicely decorated and close by a lot places to eat and shop. I was here passing the through to NOLA and so glad that we explored for a day here. read more

Needed a night to stay while traveling home to Texas. We are Hilton Honors members and found this place while on the road. We arrived at 9pm on a Friday night. Used the contactless check in. Smooth process. We were staying in room 309. Room was clean. One thing I noticed was that the shower head was really high on the wall. Can easily accommodate someone over 6' 5". I noticed this because both of my sons are over 6' and they always have trouble finding places with taller shower heads to accommodate them. Bed and Pillows were comfortable. Got a good night's sleep. The breakfast included scrambled eggs, sausage links, and homestyle potatoes for the hot items. Oatmeal and Waffles were available as well as a variety of fruit, cereal, bagels and scones. There was also yogurt and boiled eggs. Nice setup. Checkout was contactless as well. Lots of parking in the front and back. They do have a pool and small gym that looked to have a Peloton bike in it but can't confirm. Just saw a big screen on in front of the bike as I passed by. I am currently staying here and it's a bit puzzling ... the room is fine, clean if a little stark and the bed comfortable, but this is my third night here and the room has never been cleaned ... when i arrived at 5:30pm they were out of cookies for the night... the breakfast is negligible and there was no fruit or yogurt by 9 am... and no coffee. although coffee was 'on the way' it never appeared. there was only skim milk with cereal and only chemical whitener flavors at the coffee station... i never found a kitchen attendant for assistance. only a single person at the front desk. i never saw more than one person on duty at the desk. read more

I really hate to write this negative review as this was the only hotel that was able to accommodate my stay in a pinch. However, in the spirit of full disclosure, this hotel needs to address its cleanliness and safety measures. I can tell you that during the 6 nights I stayed here, approximately 95% of the staff AND guests did NOT wear masks! And if they are "wearing" them, they are "wearing" them on their chins. One day I watched maintenance from my peep hole knock on all the room doors within sight, including mine, and proceed to enter each room without wearing a mask. Additionally, the gym was gross every day. It smelled awful, some of the equipment was out of order and there were crumbs and trash constantly on the working equipment. And there were no wipes or sanitizer to clean the equipment. Many evenings groups of people would convene in the eating area socializing without masks. The staff was friendly and hospitable and location is ideal, I will give them those accolades. The room was well appointed, but the walls and suite door style made for an extremely noisy stay. I heard every word, sound, etc. that my neighbors made throughout my stay. Because, I did not feel safe while staying here I am forced to give a 1-star review. Had it not been covid-19 times, I probably would have given this hotel 2 or 3 stars, due to the inability to sleep. read more

I stayed here over the weekend and enjoyed my stay. The front desk lady was very polite, and the housekeeping staff was fantastic. The main person who stood out to me was the kitchen lady, Ashley G. She spoke to everyone in her path. She brought out pan after pan of food, making sure everyone ate. Even when another guest was rude and mean to her, she still smiled and kept working. She went back and forth so much to the kitchen that I saw smoke coming from her shoes. The breakfast food was delicious, the customer service was great, and all the workers made my stay pleasant. This will be my go-to hotel every time I am here in Lafayette. read more

We are currently staying at this location. The rooms are nicely updated but the carpet squares are starting to pop up. The primary reason for this review is to tell you about their breakfast. They serve from 7 to 10 so we came down at 8am. Their breakfast was less than desirable. We've stayed at many hilton brand - and Hampton inn - locations to the point that we alternate between Gold and Platinum members depending on the year. This location has the saddest breakfast I've ever seen from a Hilton location. There was a crowd of kids occupying the waffle maker so we went to grab the other hot items. What we found were cold biscuits, watery eggs, barely enough sausage for 2 people, and no fruit. Sorry, there was fruit - 3 brown bananas and two tiny apples. At 8am. We waited a good 5 minutes for someone from the kitchen to pop out with food. Nothing. They had the oatmeal on one end and its condiments on another - poor planning. I went to the front desk to ask if they had more fruit. They just apologized. I should note that there were FOUR desk managers behind the welcome desk (which was not even long enough for all 4 to stand). In my opinion, why isn't one of these 4 running down to Albertsons and grabbing a couple of bunches for the next wave of breakfast goers. So we settled for the cold biscuits and watery eggs. I pulled apart my biscuit only to be greeted by a short blonde HAIR (I am not blonde). YUCK! I took the biscuit over to the 4 desk managers (again no kitchen staff had appeared yet). Their comment: "we don't make them onsite, that must have been Sysco's fault". There was no "my apologies," no shock in their voice, no ". I was done. I dumped the breakfast and we left to head to Starbucks. I'm looking forward to what awaits tomorrow's breakfast. ---------------------------------- Update on the next day's breakfast: after our experience, we also left a message through our HHonors program which was promptly sent to the hotel and the manager called us within 30 minutes after sending that message. We got a more sincere apologetic tone - one that was missing from our initial encounter. So the next morning we arrived for breakfast 30 minutes earlier than the day before. No bananas when we approached but the manager (the same one I talked to the day before) brought over what appeared to be a new shipment. There was other fruit (grapes) and yogurt unlike the day before. There were clearly more food options available to where we felt satisfied when we left. The location is fine and the rooms are clean, however they have the hardest most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept on!

My four days stay was nice. I get complimentary breakfast every morning and if I don't have time, front desk has a brown bag fill with a bottle of water with a mix in tea/lemonade package, an apple, breakfast bar and a pastry. I love their breakfast. Everyday is different with the hot food section. They offer whole fruits, cereals, pastry, breads and a waffle machine to make your own waffle! Unlimited tea and coffee throughout the whole day and homemade chocolate cookies during the evening. There is a small gym in the hotel. There is a business center with two computers for guest uses for free with a copy machine. Front desk were friendly and informative. The one less star is because of the remodeling they are having. The carpet in the stairway and hallway is dirty. My room was huge and comfortable and very modern but there is no dresser for our clothes. I also have a pullout bed. I will be back next week again so hope to get the same room again. read more

They have a really good free breakfast and more comfortable beds than most. I was actually pretty surprised by how nice the rooms were and I'm thinking this hotel had to be renovated pretty recently. I love a place with free wi-fi and always appreciate good customer service and this place has both. Conveniently located close to the airport. Van arrived promptly after calling for ride. Van rides are available on-demand, so your ride to the airport is not subject to often unreasonable schedules. There are many restaurants around the hotel. Would be within walking distance, but the heat in summer makes walking uncomfortable. The hotel van will take you to and from the restaurants. Lobby is large and spacious, taken up mostly by the breakfast area. A few couches surround a TV, giving it a homey feel. Rooms are clean and well maintained, with a microwave and fridge. Beds are soft and cosy. Big screen TV is nice, positioned perfectly high enough to lay in bed and watch. The floors are extremely thin, so you can hear footsteps from above. The shower requires a fine touch to get the right temperature, as the control has only 180 degrees of travel between full hot and full cold. Although breakfast officially begins at 6am, there is some items off the free breakfast out for those who leave early. There are bags available from the front desk with a Special K bar, a bottle of water and an apple. read more

If I could give a negative rating to this hotel I would. I've traveled the world, been to thirty three different countries and this was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Hotel staff are incompetent at best. Rooms were missing furniture (no chair for the desk or dresser), the floor dipped in several places that caused us to trip a couple of times . Upon check in the staff were rude and at 3pm, the check in time, no rooms were ready and the lobby was filled with people waiting. We had to wait until 4pm and my family and I had been up all night traveling. Then the noise was unreal. We complained twice in the middle of the night because the kids above us were jumping off beds, screaming and running for over an hour and a half. When we complained we were told there was nothing they could do, which meant they didn't want to do anything. Sleep deprived and exhausted my spouse got angry. Then the hotel called the police on us for complaining about the noise. The manager actually was swearing and making sarcastic comments towards us. The cops told us we were the victims and yet the hotel called the police on us. I normally stay at Marriot Hotels, but a friend of mine convinced me the points are better at Hilton. I think I figured out why. They have to offer better rewards as there is no other reason to stay otherwise. Seriously incompetent management. I've never experienced such unprofessionalism anywhere else in the world. Only at this hotel. In Louisiana where my spouse is from.. he was mortified and embarrassed by the people in his own hometown, apologizing to all of us. Noisy, bad management and half furnished room. Terrible property. Wanted to watch World Series game during my stay. No TV guide in room, only guide was not for this cable system. When I asked the front desk they were aware said other guests had also complained months ago. So their answer was sorry that's all we have!!! Had to go through channel by channel to find game. Then at 11:30 PM the elephant in the room above me decided to start exercising or going to the bathroom every 5 minutes. Couldn't sleep for all the noise. Called the front desk to get some help NO ANSWER. This place is TERRIBLE do not stay here. They put some new carpet and paint in here but it's just lipstick on a pig with terrible untrained staff. Seems to be a sign of the time the young people working here don't give a darn about the property just getting a paycheck. read more

My first night I check in after a long day of work and it's straight shenanigans from this place.. I get to my room, I take my shoes off and find my socks soaking wet.. I feel the floor and every thing is soaking wet.. I go downstairs and they tell me that their booked so they can't switch my room they just give me a bunch of towels and say they'll have house keeping dry the floor and clean my room the next day.. I go to work and come back the following night.. and absolutely nothing has been done, the wet as towels from what (I) had to put down the night before are still there and nothing has been cleaned.. Now here we are 3 days later and I hear the front Desk tell the guy that she's dealing with about all of the different rooms that she has available for him if he so chooses. She offered him two bedrooms downstairs on the first floor he tells her that he doesn't want any bedrooms on the first floor. I think OK so there's two bedrooms on the first floor available.. I asked her if I could be transferred to one of those rooms on the first floor and she tells me no because they're booked and room service will have to clean my room in order for me to be able to go to another room.. This place is really giving me a very racist vibe and I'm ready to tell my company to pull me out of this hotel, and place me in another. I had great service at The Marriott I recommend you go there versus here especially if you're a black man read more

No microwave in the room. Floors dirty - crunch underfoot and can see the dirty footprints when. you take a shower. Hairs on the bathroom floor and especially in corners. The elevators are grubby. Light levels in the room are poor. A big bundle of electric wires in the drawers which was interfering with the drawers. read more

Because I have not stayed at a Hilton property in the last 12 months, they deleted by account. Marriott and Starwood would NEVER do that. After Katrina, and Hilton built up all the Hamptons along I-10- along with this one- it was new soon after, I stay here due to location near 90. Just stayed last night, have not been here in 3 years, Denise was working- what a blessing??? She saw I used to come a lot and working on my VIP status again, called to make sure the room was good, and even called to remind me of the happy hour they were having. Clean room, best beds, best local. I stay at Hamptons every chance I get because working offshore, and doing hazmat after Katrina, they came in and were first to upgrade to the new bedding -to die for- and this one has the full store by the desk in case you get stuck in your room working all night. Did want to give points to Denise thought as she went above and beyond, and was most pleasant. Will be back ! read more

The first night the air was not circulating so we were warm even though the AC showed a low temp. Had to open the windows to let in cool air. The hallway was super cold so the units should have been working. Thought about asking them to check the unit before night 2, but overheard the desk agent say that the AC technicians never fix anything. They did have pumpkin spice Creamer for the lobby coffee and that made me happy. read more

We stayed here a couple days due to a tournament in the area. We were pleasantly surprised how nice and spacious the rooms are, they doing a lot of renovations right now we got a new room. The bathrooms are excellent the beds are a little stiff but still nice. read more

Recent trip to Layfette for 4 nite stay ended after third nite when Hampton Inn sent us email checking us out one day early. There seemed to be a confusion in making the reservation about which day we requested to check out. A confirmation was requested to be emailed but that never happened. The biggest concern was the front desks focusing on "it's not our fault" instead of "how can we help". Even when speaking with the hotel manager she claims she couldn't, or wouldn't even check nearby places even in the Hilton hotels nearby. Took the time to discuss dinner options as well as late night options (touring musician on the road) and they were spot on. The room was exceptionally clean and the hotel has clearly made recent updates to decor, carpet, etc. Extra touches like quality linens and towels make a huge difference. As far as quick overnight hotel stays go, this is perfect. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, good service, and free breakfast. Located near many restaurants. Staff is extremely nice and friendly. I had a lot of trouble with the hotels wifi. Actually went to Starbucks to do most of my work. Hot water was also out one night as well. I have stayed at a Fairfield Inn on Pinhook and had no issues so I will probably resort back to that. read more

We stayed here on our way home to Michigan. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We did not know about the busy traffic on Kaliste Saloom Rd at dinnertime and came back without finding the restaurant we wanted to go to. The man at the desk told us to wait until after 7 pm, called the restaurant and gave us better directions, and all of this without us even asking for help. The room was good but nothing special. The breakfast was great with everything being replaced as needed. I do think the pool area could be cleaned up because there was garbage left from the previous evening and leaves hadn't been picked up in awhile. I definitely will stay here again. read more
