I don't recall the name of the girl who helped us at 4 am on 11/30/2025 at the front desk. Caucasian girl with glasses. I'm sorry I forgot your name please forgive me. After our first flight and then much later Hail Mary second flight was cancelled at 3 am in that snowstorm disaster we managed to find 3 rooms for all of us to stay in for 2 days until we could fly out. I'll never forget you going above and beyond for my family. You even took a trip to a storage room and secured a crib for our 2 year old who had been awake at an airport for 18 hours, and you delivered it to our room personally. You didn't have to do all that but you did. You could have just as easily said I'm sorry we are all out. You are a standout employee and I hope your boss sees this and I hope you see this. I would say this is a standard hotel, but they could really do some updates and deep cleaning. They are taking cleaning precautions with remote covers, hand wipes provided, the doors sealed with the Lysol sticker after cleaning. They have denoted elevator etiquette, which I loved seeing. However, the carpet is falling apart and gross. I stepped on a metal exposed spot like 3 times during my stay. The couch/chairs feel dirty and are at least 20 years old. We stayed here for 1 night while waiting on a flight. We received a free room upgrade due to our gold status. Front desk staff was friendly. We ran into an issue with the room key, and the staff went above and beyond to help. The continental breakfast was average, your standard hotel breakfast. The egg did not taste fresh. This place is great. Everything is so clean. They even have this seal you have to break after they sanitized the room. The staff are nice and pretty accommodating. They have hidden the tea and coffee behind the desk because of covid. One of my favorite parts about this place is that there is this large park behind the hotel. It has a nice walking path that goes around a pond. For me this was a huge bonus because I like to walk while I am on my phone and this place was perfect for that. read more

As far as hotels are concerned, the Hampton Inn in Addison, Illinois is a great hotel; everything is up-to-date and they have a great breakfast with eggs and waffles and sausage, a nice indoor pool, a decent gym with free weights and cardio equipment, a nice lobby to hang out in if you're visiting with friends, and the rooms were spacious claim and comfortable. The front desk staff was hit or miss; the gentleman that checked us in was great, and kind, and knowledgeable. The staff during the day was polite, but did not seem sincere and did not make the guests feel welcome. One of the front desk employees would not let us use the main table in the lobby because she was saving it for the employees to have lunch. I'm all about the employees having an awesome lunch break, but as the guests of the hotel it would have been nice to have been able to use that space for our own lunch as we were meeting friends. Overall, I would definitely come back and I would definitely recommend this to anyone staying in Addison Illinois. read more

If I could rate it as a 0, I would. We showed up 3 minutes before 3:00 pm check in. We were told our room was not ready, to wait 20 minutes. At this point it was inconvenient but we were waiting as we drove 3 hours already. The female who greeted us asked us to wait until the room was ready to take my ID and card. While we waited, a male front desk attendant joined the female. Guests were checking in and out. A party of guests came in and at this point it was after 3:30 PM and were also told their room was not ready. The male operator was approached by a female housekeepr who was told, "Whenever you can get to room ###, take your time I guess- they're here waiting already." I was concerned. After 4:00 PM, party of guests that had just checked in came back out into the lobby, stateing, "We checked into our room and there's dirty towels strewn around the room and bathroom and other people's clothes on our bed. The bedsheets are dirty." The male housekeeper told them to wait and sit down. It was at this point I asked my husband to cancel our reservation and I was calling another hotel. The front desk attendant barely acknowledged my husband as he canceled our reservation. I am honestly very angry over this experience. read more

Went to the hotel and straight to my room that I'd chosen from the same online check in. Choose the floor also. Bed was very comfortable. Room was nice. The desk clerk Stephanie was nice and professional. She suggested a restaurant for me to eat st near the hotel. Very nice choice. Enjoyed the total experience. I will return. read more

Check-in: Tall dark haired guy behind desk was SUPER sweet. Had extra pillows in the room per my request and even allowed late check-out for the next day. Quick and easy! The Room: ADA room w/roll-in shower. At 1st look the room was clean. Then I started to unpack. The batheoom only had a half of roll of toilet paper in it. No shampoo and only 3 tissues left. The refrigerator barely worked. The freezer part never got cold. The lamp shades were broken and/or dirty. The one wall had what appeared to be coffee stains all over it (see pics). The roll-in shower was nice until I looked up and the shower head was covered with mold (see pic). The bench was nice except is is a sippery vinyl and when you add water it is extremely dangerous. Not to mention the floor is slippery as well. Amenities: Breakfast. Was told the wrong hours so I missed it. One of the reasons I booked but whatever. Kind of sucked since I had to leave early to eat before the funeral. So much for late check-out. Pool: clean towels were out, however the water had a slime to it along the sides so I passed. Cleaning staff: They knocked on my door at 8:45, then 9:00am and again at 9:45. The sign was on the door plus mind you, I had late check-out. So sleeping was a no. As I am writing this I realize there was actually a lot more wrong with this place then needed to be. 3 stars went down to 2 starts. If it werent for the nice guy at check-in it would have been 1 star. read more

I stayed here this past weekend for a conference I was going to at DeVry University, right down the road. Our room was clean and comfortable, and there was a refrigerator and microwave, huge plus! The bathroom was big and had plenty of counter space (important to the ladies, what can I say?!). We had somewhat of a party in the pool area, and they didn't kick us out past the ridiculous 10pm "curfew" or whatever it was - so, that was nice. Better making noise down there than in our rooms, dontcha think? I'd stay here again if I ever found myself in Addison again. read more

Very clean hotel, great rooms, comfortable beds. The air conditioner did a great job keeping the room cool. The pool area was very clean. The bathroom is large, and while I would prefer a shower stall, the bathtub was fine. If you've been to any Hampton, you know that they are all variations on a theme. This particular Hampton Inn is just as nice as the others I've stayed in. The Hilton app allows you to check in online and receive a digital key, so any front desk hassles are a thing of the past. Good location too. There is an iHop and a Famous Dave's just across the parking lot. read more

My family and I had the worst experience of my life at this hotel. First, the hotel has bad water pressure. The toilet in my room on the third floor over flowed my first night. No maintenance on staff so I had to go to the front desk to get a plunger and plung it myself. Second night the same thing happened to my sister on the third night on the second floor. Again no maintenance on staff. Second, my daughter got stuck on the elevator. It keep going to floor to floor for about 3 minutes before it would open its doors. I found out from other people that it also happened to them. Last buy not least, I was told that I would be charge a extra $50.00 for each room and it would be returned when I checked out. However actually I was charge a extra $90.00 for each room with no explanation. When I asked them about it, the keep saying their system was not showing the difference in price. I called my bank to confirm the charges and now I have to put in a dispute. I will never go back to this hotel and do not recommend it to no one. read more

Stayed there over the weekend, had a very pleasant experience. Pros: Fridge and microwave in room. Mattress was adjustable for firmness (didn't find out till the end but whatever). Breakfast was pretty good Bus and driver were very nice, took us around. Staff was friendly and helpful Cons: Toilets weren't the greatest That's my only real complaint. Absolutely disgusting! Kathy was so horrible to deal with, very unprofessional, unapologetic, and just a nasty attitude in general. I booked a last minute room here on Saturday 6/5. Check in was annoying because there was only one person to assist a customer. Upon my arrival i checked the bed, looked fine. Should have looked harder. The next morning i woke up to a nice little suprise! A bed bug in my pillowcase, i was absolutely horrified an called the front desk. I told Kathy that i believe my room is infested with bed bugs and to please have a manager come to my room, she simply said okay and hung up on me. I waited about 3 minutes, and no one was there. I went to the front desk to confront her as to why i was hung up on. She had the nerve to give me attitude and state someone is coming, i asked to speak with a manager and she advised that there was no manager available and he would return Monday. I then asked for her name which she then stated was Karen. This moron gave me the wrong name because she knew she was in the wrong. Then house keeping came, and checked the room.. i even showed them the cup where i had the bed bug and they stated it wasn't a bed bug... it totally was! I then received a call from Benjamin the manager... after I asked to speak to one 3 times. HE is the one that told me Kathys name wasn't Karen. He was apologetic with me and then got cold when i asked for Karens last name. He then went on to tell me how they are short staffed.. not my problem! This hotel should not be open if they can not properly clean these hotel rooms and service customs correctly! I AM EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED on the lack of customer device i received here. This was the worst. To spend around $150 and the room was disgusting! There was bowl movement on the toliet handle. There was hair in the tub. Clothing left behind from prior guest. They could not move me to another room. And even though I saw an exchange of cash. I asked for my refund. They told me I will have to wait up to 5 days. Not at all happy with the Hampton Inn. The only reason they are getting 2 stars is because at least they were kind when speaking to me. I am traveling across the country alone. I booked all my hotels at least a month, if not 6 weeks ago, all Hamptons at each of my stops. When staying at a Hilton property (Hampton is owned by Hilton) one expects a certain level of comfort, plus free hot breakfast. At the last minute, I was called to tell me that they had overbooked and would need to move me to another property, a Best Western at O'Hare Airport since everything in and around Chicago is booked. I'm told it's because a bunch of diamond club members booked 20 rooms 2 days ago and they get preference since I'm just a lowly blue member,I don't count! I got to the Best Western and was very disappointed. It is NOT at all comparable to a Hilton property, in fact its a dive! Moldy smelling, old, etc. after calling the Hampton back to let them know of my disappointment, they said there was nothing they could do and they were very sorry and they appreciate the feedback. That's all well and good, but I'm still not happy. I did have them mark the rest of my reservations with a "Do Not Move" so hopefully that will help, especially in St Loius! read more

When you can stay at a hotel and there are no unexpected events, it's a good thing. Stayed one night for business. Checked in late at late at night with no problem. Room was clean, organized and everthing functioned properly. The breakfast area was under construction but they did a nice job to make sure it did not interfer with morning food service. Stayed here once last year no issues, this year my company mistakingly booked me a smoking room, at first the manager wasn't helpful AT ALL so I was forced to stay in the smoking room because it was paid for, the manager told me I was free to leave and stay somewhere else but NO REFUNS. later, after looking up My profile I think he figured out i travel often and ALWAYS stay with Hampton so I was moved to a King Suite. My wife, son and I went to this hotel for a relaxing weekend this past week. We specifically asked if the pool was open and we were told it was. The pool was open but the temperature was very cold. My son lasted 5 minutes the first day and didn't want to get in at all the second day, i could not blame him. I thought it may have been me until we saw two families the next day and they said they could not even get one of their children in. Also, a lot of construction going on which is fine but when you get off an elevator and dust from workers sanding the hallway gets all over your stuff and into your eyes its not fun to deal with. Would have been a fine stay and the breakfast was good but no pool really took away from our trip. I will be using another hotel chain in the future. read more

I am stayed in luxury hotels all over the world and I have to say I was really impressed with this hotel. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and bed was very comfortable. The pool and pool area were really nice for families as well. I am writing this review from their business center and it is fully stocked with supplies and brand new computers. The lobby is chic and modern and has a cozy fireplace. Breakfast was beyond what I expected and FREE! Healthy options too from fresh fruit to yogurt and the pastry assortment was excellent. Parking lot is huge, hotel was easy to spot, you can walk to restaurants and it is well lit and I felt safe. You can even do laundry on your floor if need be and Direct TV they have in each room has 400 stations! CONGRATS to this hotel and staff!!!! read more

I was planning on coming back from a long day and ordered a movie to watch before I went to bed, but I was unable to find a pay per view service on my TV. The did have dish service with a number of premium channels and I was able to find a movie that sufficed but not what I was looking for. Overall it was a short business trip and would stay there again if I found myself in the area. read more

The young gentleman just told me he was going to call the police on me because I requested he bring up a fork and knife for all the food I bought from their lobby. Spent a week here. Hard to believe it's 5 years old. It's clean, quiet. with large well appointed rooms. Bed was wonderful, staff great. The location is very convenient to highways and the train downtown. Breakfast was the best I've experienced in a hotel lobby. With their room rate it's a tremendous bargain. Nice property, clean and spacious rooms. Nice breakfast lobby area. Bad was the pool. Water was freezing cold. Tried to use but couldn't due to fear of hypothermia. Pool is small but would have been ok if any heat was used. No hot tub. I'd stay here again just don't bring swimsuit. Breakfast was typical for this type of hotel. Towards end of breakfast food ran out and not replenished. Get there with at least 30 minutes left before closing. read more

Excellent, excellent, exxellent customer service. I spent a week here on business without the family and the staff went out of there way to make me feel at home. Alex at the front desk was sure to greet me by name everytime I came through. Not just me, he did this with many of the other guest to. I loved having one of the fresh baked cookies in the afternoon, once the lady at the front desk called the room to let me know she just put out a fresh batch of warm cookies. Now that's customer service. One morning at the breakfast the lady that was in the kitchen area asked if i was finding everything alright. I asked her joking if there was any bacon this morning already having been by there knowing there wasn't and she said give me a few minutes. She brought out fresh cooked bacon to me and said let me know if there is anything you ever need. Wow impressed with how far they go to keep customers happy. read more

We booked a block of rooms at the Hampton for our wedding this year, 5/18/2013. What a terrible experience! The hotel itself was not bad. However, the experience with the Sales Manager who helps to coordinate room blocks was terrible. She was unresponsive to emails and phone calls. She acted burdened when we wanted to stop by and see the hotel first. And WORST OF ALL THEY GAVE OUR ROOM AWAY THE DAY OF THE WEDDING. That's right, I (the groom) showed up the day of the wedding around 10:30am and they said that they sold our room and were SOLD OUT the day of our wedding. After patiently waiting for them to rectify the situation they said there was nothing they could do. They put me on the phone with the manager who is not on site and he proceeded to explain we were out of luck. Only after threatening him with a poor online review did they finally get us a room. What an awful experience. I usually have good luck with Hampton's but this one was awful! read more
