    Exposed metal in the carpet

I would say this is a standard hotel, but they could really do some updates and deep cleaning. They are taking cleaning precautions with remote covers, hand wipes provided, the doors sealed with the Lysol sticker after cleaning. They have denoted elevator etiquette, which I loved seeing. However, the carpet is falling apart and gross. I stepped on a metal exposed spot like 3 times during my stay. The couch/chairs feel dirty and are at least 20 years old. It's basic and was fine for a night.

This place is great. Everything is so clean. They even have this seal you have to break after they sanitized the room. The staff are nice and pretty accommodating. They have hidden the tea and coffee behind the desk because of covid. One of my favorite parts about this place is that there is this large park behind the hotel. It has a nice walking path that goes around a pond. For me this was a huge bonus because I like to walk while I am on my phone and this place was perfect for that.

    bed bug

if i could give this hotel a 0 review i would i stayed this past saturday in this hotel most horrible thing happened we found bed bugs in our bed. i woke up around 3:30am feeling really itchy turns out there was bed bugs in the bed all they did was refund the money and the manager didn't even bother calling to apologize for the inconvenience.

Worse experience ever, our room had bedbugs, we had to leave at 2 am and dispose all of our belonging and next day spend cleaning our car. They didn't take take any responsibility. I found bedbugs that was killed in the closet with dry blood around it.

Check-in: Tall dark haired guy behind desk was SUPER sweet. Had extra pillows in the room per my request and even allowed late check-out for the next day. Quick and easy! The Room: ADA room w/roll-in shower. At 1st look the room was clean. Then I started to unpack. The batheoom only had a half of roll of toilet paper in it. No shampoo and only 3 tissues left. The refrigerator barely worked. The freezer part never got cold. The lamp shades were broken and/or dirty. The one wall had what appeared to be coffee stains all over it (see pics). The roll-in shower was nice until I looked up and the shower head was covered with mold (see pic). The bench was nice except is is a sippery vinyl and when you add water it is extremely dangerous. Not to mention the floor is slippery as well. Amenities: Breakfast. Was told the wrong hours so I missed it. One of the reasons I booked but whatever. Kind of sucked since I had to leave early to eat before the funeral. So much for late check-out. Pool: clean towels were out, however the water had a slime to it along the sides so I passed. Cleaning staff: They knocked on my door at 8:45, then 9:00am and again at 9:45. The sign was on the door plus mind you, I had late check-out. So sleeping was a no. As I am writing this I realize there was actually a lot more wrong with this place then needed to be. 3 stars went down to 2 starts. If it werent for the nice guy at check-in it would have been 1 star.

Lodging [Wood Dale IL]…read more This was our home for 3 nights... slightly away from busy Chicago. We arrived pretty late, it was already past midnight (12:15a) but grateful for the friendly and helpful customer service because we were exhausted from all day travel. We were given complimentary bottled water and their signature freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. Check-in was fast with no issues. We had no complaints with our room. Beds were comfy and we woke up with no bed bug bites. Bathroom was a little tight inside but water pressure from the shower was good. No clogged drains. Basic amenities: free WiFi, flatscreen, small fridge (except no microwave). Complimentary self-parking. This is a smoke-free hotel. Breakfast buffet available for $18.95. We tried it one morning. Not worth it... go elsewhere for a better breakfast. Review #3809

The DoubleTree Chicago-Wood Dale-Elk Grove is about a 20-minute drive from O'Hare Airport, making…read moreit a convenient option for layovers or quick stays. It's not connected to the CTA or Metra, so you'll need a car, and the hotel sits in more of an industrial area without restaurants in easy walking distance. Being on the west side of O'Hare, you will hear plane traffic. During the day it's noticeable, but at night it wasn't loud enough to wake me. The hotel itself is older and shows its age with dated hallways, carpets, and elevators, but what it lacks in aesthetics it makes up for in value and service. Rates are often much lower than other Hilton options near the airport, and every staff member I interacted with -- from the front desk to housekeeping to the bar staff -- was genuinely friendly. The property features a fitness center and a surprisingly large indoor pool (one of the longest I've seen at a Hilton), though there's no hot tub. The restaurant serves typical pub-style food -- I've tried the burgers, sweet potato fries, and quesadillas, all of which were decent and convenient when you don't feel like driving out. Overall, this was my 3rd or 4th stay here, and while the hotel is definitely dated, it's convenient, affordable, and reliable if you just need a place to stay before or after a flight.

The hotel features a bar and large lobby area for welcoming groups and gathering and there are plenty of convenient restrooms throughout the property. In addition to the 18 hole golf course, there is a glow in the dark putting area, perfect for a fun evening activity. The food was absolutely delicious for every meal during our 5 day stay and the staff went out of their way to be helpful. The property is located reasonably close to O'Hare and is easily accessible from the expressway. I would definitely recommend the Eaglewood Resort for large group events.

I flew overnight and they immediately got me a room. The service at the desk was direct but ultimately he was happy to help although he initially seemed icy. The walk to the room in the north tower was a hike!!!! Like give yourself 15-20 minutes to get to the conference center long. Several ramps up on the way to the room and down hill on the way back. The room itself was a good size. They are sorry if weird shaped. Like a trivial pursuit game pie piece. But because of that it was large. My view was of the golf course and it was relaxing and gorgeous. There is a nice balcony deck and it was a great size! The carpet was literally worn in areas and the wall paper was peeling in areas. But the bed was comfortable. The desk was older but LARGE which i loved. There is an arm chair with a chaise foot stool. Truly the room is great sized. Just older in decor and wear and tear. There was no service no matter how many days you're there unless you ask for it. I didn't need it. There were two bottles of water and a coffee maker but no cream. There is a mini fridge in the nightstand. All lotion and soaps (including shampoo and conditioner) are mounted on the wall in the shower. The shower is old and dripped all night but works great. The toilet is very low to the ground which was hard for me being as tall as I am. Overall with some updating i would love this place. The conference center was nice and the food was good. The conference center bathrooms were huge. Again with some updating I would stay here again.... or for a conference.

Hotel is 4 out of 5 stars. 400 Park Bistro - had an opportunity to try their breakfast buffet. The offering was decent, eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes, waffles, biscuits, along with toast area, fruits, cereals, drinks etc. They replaced the biscuits with pancakes on the second day. Unfortunately, the pancake, biscuits and waffles were cold. Not sure if they turned on the heater or not, but they shouldn't have served those. I would give 1.5 out of 5 stars for the food from the buffet and I hope it was just one off on those two days that I had it.
