My wife Dr wrote a script for a new mask and placed it on the portal and additionally the script was faxed to them on the second day. the second day, I called to inquire about the supplies and I was informed they cannot see the script. I asked the representative to have a manager call me and thus far no one No one at this out fit checks the portal or the fax machies. Now it's six days later, I called and asked them to check the portal and they found the script. I am ready to choose another supplier out of frustration of no one calling me back and no one checking on the portal. read more

They sent me a to register online. I tried it on my phone and laptop and it didn't work. So I called them. I got a recording telling me to leave a message and no assurance about when they could call back. The form had a "contact us" link. It was a broken link. I eventually found an online chat and apparently all agents are busy indefinitely. My doctor told me this was a difficult company and I see he was right. I'm looking for another provider. read more

I've used them for years because they have a contract with NYU Langone. It baffles me that NYU Langone would associate with idiocy. They have been sending me an email for months now saying they are working on resolving my insurance. There is nothing to resolve. My insurance works. They just aren't calling anyone (me or the insurance) to resolve it. This is for CPAP supplies. They've sent them before, so I know my insurance works. They also have not sent the cloth head strap that holds it in place. So for the past year and a half, I've had to use the same strap. I have to keep cutting and doing makeshift things to get it to work. They won't return calls. They won't just call my insurance and ask. I can't hold their hands every month and walk them through their job. I am a patient, not a representative of my insurance. If they have an issue with it, they have to call them. I am not obligated to do their job for them.I am also filing a complaint with NYU Langone directly to ask them to remove the Hamptom Home Care contract. When they don't send all the pieces, they are denying care. The machine and its parts need to work. They're all problems and zero solutions. read more

Customer service could use improvement. The agents were polite and professional but could not help me at the time. It seemed that they did not know what to tell me to do. I was having trouble signing in. I could not be found in the system. I wanted to know if there was another page that I needed to go to. I am still waiting for the phone call from someone who could possibly help me. Fortunately I was able to figure it out a few days later. I also find the website not helpful to me at all. If I could give them a lower rating I would. I called almost a month ago about a malfunctioning CPAP machine. They finally called me back today, in the middle of the workday asking for the serial number. The lady seemed somewhat put off because I did not have the information at hand. Previously I had one of the Phillips units that was recalled. I had only had it for about two months. It took numerous calls and several weeks to finally get them to provide a new unit. I have been horrified by the continuously irresponsible and dangerous lack of care the company has provided since I received my CPAP machine four years ago. They continuously got in touch to send me new pads for the machine, so much so in fact that I had to tell them to stop. But they never, ever told me I needed to replace the water container or the tubing. So I didn't. When the machine started having issues four years in, I was told to speak to a therapist there. He was horrified to hear I had been using the water container and tubing for four years, and that spots of mold had begun to grow on the water container. He told me to stop using it, and to request new materials. That was a disaster, and after two months, I have given up and will purchase the materials myself. I spoke over and over again to the staff there, and even at their request contacted my doctor numerous times to update a prescription. Again and again they seemed to forget to take action -- surprisingly considering their own therapist said I was putting myself in danger. In addition to this review, I am filing a complaint to my insurance company and advising my current and former doctors, in writing, to avoid using Hampton Healthcare. read more

Today I received my Resmed Airsense 11 from Stewart at the Farmingdale office. He gave very clear directions on how the unit worked and how it was to be cared for. All of my questions were answered to my satisfaction and I was told where to call with questions or problems. It would have been nice if I could have picked up the equipment at the Ronkonkoma office, rather than go to Farmingdale. I must say, however, that the company did offer to come to my home to furnish me with the equipment and operating instructions. I was precluded from taking advantage of this because my home is currently undergoing construction. So far, my experience with this company and its employees has been fine. Like anything new, there is always a learning curve, and after being recommended to use a CPAP, I was contacted by Hampton home care to deliver and set up my new machine. From start to finish the process was very streamlined, simple, and pleasant. All of the people whom I had contact with from setting up the order to delivery to setting up the machine were excellent. Hampton home care was able to effectively communicate with my insurance company, And get my new machine delivered to me in a very short time. Upon receipt, I was scheduled with a technician to learn how to use the device. Andrew called me promptly at our appointment time and he began his tutorial. Through FaceTime he provided me with an in depth description of the device, its features, how to use it and what to expect. His delivery was comprehensive yet understandable and he was patient and kind. Andrew showed true concern for my issue and patiently guided me through The set up and completely answered all of my questions. The majority of people I've dealt with have been awful. They rarely if ever call back, even when they assure you they will. The first machine they provided me had an issue whereby the humidifier stopped working. They sent me a new one and it had the same issue with the humidifier not working. I called them again and again to try and figure it out. One of their technicians finally called me back. She was very nice and was the person who had authorized the original replacement. She ran a full diagnostic on the machine, recognized there was an issue, but couldn't diagnose exactly what it was, so put in for another replacement. While the technician had put the request in for the new machine, the customer service rep never put in for it. Finally, 7 weeks later, I received my cpap replacement. But this was after multiple calls and an almost deadly situation occurred, whereby I was sleeping one night and the CPAP machine spit a while bunch of water into my mouth. I started choking and thankfully woke up in time, running to the bathroom to spit it out. Even after telling the customer service rep what had happened, they still didnt so anything. I finally was able to escalate the issue to a manager, who had the new cpap machine sent to me. I get the machine, which had come with a new tube, so I discarded the old tube. Little did I know there was a piece on it that connects the tube to the face mask. The new tube didnt come with that piece. I tried calling Hampton Home Care yet again, and the person I spoke with said that the part I'm looking for comes with the mask, and I wasn't die for another mask for 6 - 8 weeks, so if I wanted one now, I would have to pay $120. I was referred by my doctor and called them about ordering a cpap - they insisted that they did not take NY state Empire NY Ship insurance - I questioned them and they said no and rushed me off the phone . I ordered an airmini to use when I was going to be traveling. Immediatley I found that the settings were way too high and that it would blow my mouth open while sleeping. I have called HH 5 TIMES and each time I have explained the situation and was told that I would have a call back shortly, NADA! the last time i called I was told that the head of the dept, Stephen, would call me back.... guess what NOTHING! so I've had 4 trips in the last two months and I could not use my air. mini correctly. Today i had an in home visit by Stewart. He was friendly, courteous and helpful. He was thorough in answering every question and did not leave until I felt secure with my new device. He showed me how to clean it, and work the device. He was helpful and he even added tips that he does in terms of how he cleans his device. My first experience with Hampton Homecare was extremely satisfactory. I just moved to New York state. The Homecare company in Massachusetts, the state I moved from, made customers drive to THEIR office to pick up devices. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Hampton did home visits! I appreciated that I was kept informed about the time the Hampton representative would arrive. This person, Stuart, was friendly, respectful, and efficient. I am not comfortable with handling electronic devices. Stuart took the time--and had the patience--to show me how the CPAP machine works. Thus, I felt comfortable to navigate the appliance by myself. The people who use these machines have issues and to have that happen is not right!! Extremely poor customer service. Per doctors order, an oxygen machine was supposed to be delivered to my mom on Friday. They were too busy to get it there but said it would get there Monday between 9-12. At 1:30, they are now saying between 3-6 pm. As a healthcare facility, this is extremely poor service. For about one year now I've been a client (customer) of HHC. Because of Medicare's bureaucratic red tape and arbitrary guidelines, although I received my equipment right away and found my CPAP device to be a lifesaver, they haven't gotten paid until just recently. During this long ordeal, ALL of the customer service staff at HHC have been understanding, supportive and helpful. Although I took my appeals to Medicare through al the steps, it was HHC billing staff who finally got this authorization accomplished. Waited 2 weeks for an appointment for a new cpap. Found out by email prior to the appointment that it was virtual and I would receive contact information prior to the appointment. Appointment was scheduled for a Saturday and never received any contact information, called the office and it is closed on Saturday's and the voice mailbox is full. I had the misfortune of renting a bariatric bed from the Ronkonkoma office. I kept the bed for only two nights and Hampton Home Care refused to return any money from the monthly rental. Moreover, the moving personnel disposed of their gloves in the driveway of my home in spite of the fact that they got tipped generously for their effort. If you can, use another outfit. read more

The CPAP experience itself for me was not a good one - I gave it about 10 days but too uncomfortable and awkward. The tube always getting in the way and the mask pressing down on my face. The worst service I have ever received from a Healthcare facility. My CPAP machine was ordered about 6 months ago and I was told I was not affected by the recall by the SalesRep in the Dr Office and it would take 2 weeks to receive the machine - that was in June 2021. The Dr Office received confirmation of the order, but the HHC had no record of receiving the order- this was at the 2 month period. The issue was eventually escalated to the Director of the facility(who was supposed to contact me but never did) and I was #1 to receive a machine. 1 month later I get a call- I missed it, called right back only to be put on hold again for 55 min (left my number and never got a call back.) took about a month to get another call - missed it - again l called and left my number for a call back - no response. This has been escalated to My pulminologists office several times since and I was assured the Director would contact me ( that was 6 weeks ago) and he never did. Fast forward I get a letter to contact Scott x1020 - no voicemail and it bounces to another persons voicemail. I am at the point where enough is enough. Never order from this company.
