Just tossed it to us and said. Your good. Then gave each of our kids a quarter for the gum-ball machine. So when my bear hunting boys asked me to pick up a flashlight. Where do you think I went? Yep. Back to the place where we got special treatment. The owner helped me this time. He was very patient with me as I really didn't know what to get. I knew my son wanted top of the line. So he gave me a couple of options. With a nice price difference. I purchased an awesome flashlight for my son and my husband. The owner was so helpful and kind. Let's just say his worker who gave us 2 free quarters and a free bottle opener ended up turning into a return visit where we spent over $130.00. I guarantee I will be back again before we leave too. I am new to the area and rented first time a piece of equipment from this store a…read more BEWARE DON'T COMPLAIN ON A RENTAL EQUIPMENT BREAK DOWN OR HE WILL NEVER RENT ANYTHING TO YOU! IT HAPPENED TO ME READ BELOW BEFORE RENTING I WOULD, BUT SINCE THEY HAVE A GREAT RENTAL IN LINCOLN, MAINE I WILL BE TAKING MY ALL MY BUISNESS THERE WHERE YOU ARE TREATED WITH RESPECT, THEY LISTEN TO THE CUSTOMER AND ARE ALL OUT TO KEEP THE CUSTOMER HAPPY! Cement Mixer for one day at $70.00 a day (Plus paid a damage waiver costing an extra $7.00) I picked up mixer and took it home on a jobsite at my home was putting in a footing for a garage. I got home at about 12pm with mixer and it broke down around 1:30 pm, (The Starter rope pulled out of the starter so you couldn't start the machine.) I called Sterns and asked them for help explained I was right in the middle of a job and needed if fixed, the owner said can't get there today but maybe tomorrow morning, and finally said I will call a worker of mine but I think he is at the lake a camp and see if I can get him to your address to take a look at it and get it going I said ok. It took an hour 15 minutes for him to get here and Sterns Lumber is next town over from me which is 15 min away. Man arrived while my two people I was paying $10.00 an hour waited as well doing nothing due to mixer was broken pull cord to start it with. SO I was down time over 2 hours and finally man said use the Starter cup tie knot in rope and wind around starter cup and it will start so tried it worked ok, then he left. with his broken starter and spring and rope. Also he said this starter broke on last job and he fixed it last week with same old spring in starter that he said needs to be replaced with new and it wouldn't be doing this. (So two different jobs starter issues ending up in delays to jobs due to fix it properly the first time!) Then jobbers are delayed and paying people at an hourly wage and I lost $10.00 and hour on two people for two hours due to this issue totaling $20.00 per person times two equals my loss of $40.00 to two helpers do to their faulty equipment. So when I returned the mixer I asked them if their was anything they could deduct from the rental where I had a problem and down time, and due to down time it put us into an evening thunderstorm and rain which we had to race around and get plastic to cover cement to protect it in the middle or lighting and wind rain, and pouring last contents out in the rain and lighting. We did get the job done but later then expected and it was very dangerous to mix cement in the rain due to the lost time we had it would've been done sooner if his equipment rental didn't break down and if it was serviced correctly the last time it broke the week before! So I asked him politely where I wanted to rent a Rear tine tiller from him, if he could take off some money on the mixer rental due to the issues I had with his rental, and credit it to the Rototiller rear tine he rents out at $55.00 a day. The (Owners answer was no I am not giving any money back the machine got the job done right, then he said I will not rent a rototiller out to you either!) I was amazed at how he was answering me a customer that way! ALL I SAKED WAS IF HE COULD TAKE A LITTLE MONEY OFF, ALL HE HAD TO SAY WAS HE COULDN'T, AND I WOUL'VE BEEN ALRIGHT WITH IT DUE TO FACT I DID GET THE JOB DONE! BUT THEN HE SAID OH AND AS FAR AS RENTING YOU A ROTOTILLER THE ANSWER IS NOWAY I DON'T WANT TO RENT ANYTHING OUT TO YOU AND WILL NOT RENT EQUIPMENT TO YOU! I ASKED WHY HE FELT THAT WAY AND HIS REPLY WAS (YOU COMPLAINED ABOUT THE MIXER YOU RENTED FROM ME, THEREFORE I DON'T WANT TO RENT TO YOU ANYTHING ANY MORE. WOW JUST BECAUSE I ASKED IF HE CPOULD TAKE A LITTLE OFF WHERE I HAD SO MUCH DOWNTIME POLITELY ALL I FEEL HE SHOULD'VE SAID WAS NO I CAN'T DO THAT AND I WOULDVE BEEN FINE WITH IT! I DON'T FEEL A CUSTOMER SHOULD BE TREATED LIKE THIS IN A BUISNESS I ALWAYS UNDERSTOOD TO KEEP THE CUSTOMER HAPPY AND TRY TO WORK WITH HIM, NOT REFUSE TO RENT ANY MORE EQUIPMENT TO A CUSTOMER BECAUSE HE SIMPLY ASKED IF HE COULD DISCOUNT THE RENTAL SOME DUE TO DOWN TIME AND ISSUES WITH HIS MACHINE. IF YOU RENT EQUIPMENT BEWARE DON'T ASK FOR MONEY BACK OR A CREDIT IF HIS EQUIPMENT BREAKS DOWN ON YOU WHILE YOU USE IT OR HE WILL BAR YOU FROM RENTING ANY EQUIPMENT FROM HIM EVER. I've had nothing but problems starting with the remote sales staff taking weeks to return emails resulting in delayes schedules. He stated the glass for the doors were included as long as we wanted flat glass, Cabinets arrived with no glass at all. Cost me five hudred to buy additional glass. The cabinet arrived with doors which the raised panles wobble and shake when you open and close the doors. Addiotionally cabinet doors worped due to improper fitement of the raised panel and frame. They offered to rework the doors but not remake them to correct dimensions. What a joke. The microwave drawer cabinet is an inch and a half too narrow. Nobody makes a microwave to fit the under sized cabinet and the counter tops are already insalled. OMG what a nightmare. Pending lawyers, Beware if you decide to buy cabinets from them. You will be on your own dime when things go wrong.

Their Timbers were less than a dollar more than the big box stores in Bangor and actually looked better. I'm sure the fasteners cost a little more but purchasing at Ware Butler Corinth saved me hours of time and the expense of vehicle fuel. The service was very responsive and courteous. I've been there before to get extra security keys made. They were very accommodating. I certainly will be shopping there in the future because they are only 10 minutes from home which will save me time and money.
