I like coming to movies at Hammocks landing. This is an outdoor shopping center with the usual shops and eateries.

What a great place! You could find anything you would like here. The grounds are beautiful. The architecture is also very nice. You could spend the whole day here exploring all there is to do here The selection of restaurants is wonderful. I would compare it to the Viera mall, the avenues. read more

I've never left a Yelp review before but I was looking up hammock landing for something and when I saw it was rated 1.5 stars I laughed. People can be very dramatic. I live ten minutes away from hammock landing and frequent it. It's a pretty solid strip mall for an area like Palm Bay. It's right off of a main road and it is very easy to enter and exit- which is more to ask of a shopping center than you might think. The stores there aren't designer coach or Nike stores or whatever but they're definitely super desirable and pretty cheap. I see the appeal of big designer strip malls but honestly I can't stand spending hundreds of dollars for only a few pairs of shoes and one shirt in designer strip malls but I can easily go to hammock landing, get lunch, get a haircut, get 4 shirts from Ross, and I'll have only spent about 65 bucks. It's a great strip mall if you're like me and you only want to go do a strip mall trip if it's affordable to do multiple things. My only resentment toward it is that it's all scrunched up in some areas and then super spread out. It's kinda weird and it makes it a little harder to remember how to get back to your car. read more

This mall is still a work in progress. I believe when they first announced the creation of the mall everyone had very high hopes, especially after learning that it would be related to the Viera Mall with its circular design, fun and quirky statues, center picturesque courtyard, and fine dining with restaurants like the melting pot and pizza gallery. This Mall surely disappoints because of the spread out nature, the usual suspects of shops that you can find in 75% of every other mall in central Florida (Michaels/Ross/Marshals/Target/PetCo/Ross etc...). It's nice having Buffalo Wild Wings, Moe's and 5 Guys, Culver's was nice surprise, but I think the people of West Melbourne/PalmBay expect something more, something better. And why not, don't they deserve it? Other shops are Thai Thai, Menchies, a bridal store, a couple shoe stores, Ulta Beauty, Polo Tropical, Texas Longhorn, McD's/BK/Panera/Panda Express (I'll have the Sugar Chicken), a couple chain dentistries, Mattress shops, and a nice AMC movie theater with an IMAX screen. There's a spa, vape shop, cake shop, crab restaurant, Dollar Tree, Game Stop, smoothie shop, Ifix shop, indoor daycare or playroom, a Sprint store and a Company AT&T store. The only things missing is a stand online Starbucks and Barnes and Noble (Target doesn't count, I'm not going in there for a Frappuccino and Personal Pan Pizza). This mall even has charging ports for your electric car (Tesla), and people do use them. There's even a mini hub for the SCAT bus which is convenient. Once in a while they have a car show, which is fun, so there's a little something for everyone, even a bunch of Poké Stops for Pokémon Go players. Yes this Mall could have been better designed, and better organized. It should have been designed for the pedestrian shopper like the Viera Mall, and it still craves more unique shops and restaurants to draw in more people, but it still has a lot to offer. The 1 cent per dollar environmental impact fee is not even noticeable, if it's even collected anymore, and the area is expanding as housing is going up behind the Publix and Pet Supermarket, and along the Norfolk Parkway next to the AMC and Academy Sports. There will be easier access to the mall since the Norfolk Parkway is being extended to the St. John's Heritage Parkway. I'll review this Mall again over time and adjust the Star rating. I do frequent this mall a lot, and I do miss HHGregg. A Jamaican restaurant, Italian or Indian would fill the gap. A Roti shop would be perfect. I'm just hungry now, lol. read more

SHOP ELSEWHERE!!! You have to pay 1% of your receipts to the stores to give to the landlord. They make the customers flip the bill to shop in the Hammock Landings! It's called a "Public Service Fee"! I have to pay to shop in my own town where I already pay taxes!!! 1% may seem low, but the money adds up... Christmas shopping, clothes, food, maybe $2,000 a year for my family= $20 a year. In to years it's $200. Ridiculous!!! Add that total to the thousands of people that shop there weekly... $$$ to the blood suckers! read more

This place sucks!!! It is a HUGH shopping center. They make a fortune in rents from all the retail stores and restaurants & then every time you buy something or eat in a restaurant they charge you a 1% fee for driving on their property. They don't tell you that they are going to charge you a 1% fee they just add it to your bill. All of the store & restaurants don't tell you they just hope you don't notice. So if you don't drive on their property how are the stores going to make money???? It is like when you buy a car the dealer charges you a crazy delivery/destination charge. Just think of what 1% of $200 million dollars is or $500 million dollars is or a billion $ is. Do you really want to pay this fee? Why don't the business pay this fee after all your shopping in their stores & they are making a lot of money off you!!! This is just another argument for the rich getting richer and it makes online shopping look even better. I have not been back to Hammock Landing & the restaurants & retailers have lost my business.
