My spouse is a physician as well (another specialty) and can be quite particular about our providers, and he thinks she's wonderful. My five year old said, "She's so calm." This was during a joint well child check with two young children and me being a stressed parent wanting to touch base on a few things. Dr. Julian IS calm. She also graciously reviewed notes I had taken when our youngest was sick off and on for a few weeks. I was embarrassed because she could see my google search notes on the paper, but she didn't laugh or disregard me and took my concerns seriously. My whole family really likes her. We feel fortunate to be in her care.

Reading these other reviews, I'd say if you're not on board with vaccinating your children then don't go to Ada Pediatrics. It's as simple as that and doesn't warrant a 1 star review to them because your preferences don't match their life commitment to modern medicine. Dr. Ryan is always available via email if you have any questions about your kids. With our first, I was full of questions as most parents are and he was always so kind in his responses. I honestly prefer to reach out to him then call in and catch whoever is available (can be a hit or miss). I did have to call in once after hours about a concern and the doctor on call (neither Ryan or Bob) was a bit rude and condescending but I've never had to come across him again. Their staff for the most part is very friendly, I love their nurses. They are a bit archaic with technology but have just started automated confirmation via text or phone call with appointments. Their office doesn't look like it has been updated for 20-30 years, which honestly doesn't bother me. I am more concerned about my children's care then how beautiful and modern their building is. I'd say they're doctors for all the right reasons and that's why we take our children there.

It was around 4:15 and we hadn't been seen so I asked the front desk if they could confirm our appointment which they did and assured us we would see his Dr shortly. It was then after 4: 30 that we went back to a room. The nurse took his vitals and told us the Dr should be in any minute. At 4:50 I stuck my head out the door and didn't find anyone initially, but eventually found a nurse and she said that he will be in any second. At 5:15 we still have yet to see the Dr. I had my son get dressed again and we looked in the hallway and the lights were all turned out the computers were shut down and there was no one in the lobby area but a lady vacuuming! There was no one even there that we could tell that we were now late for his sisters ballet and would have to be leaving so I called the office and left a voice mail. The Dr called me back and apologized and wanted to schedule a new appointment right then. I was too upset at the time and told him that we needed to get home to try to get his sister ready to go to ballet (late). I called the office the next day to talk to an office manager and no one was available to take my call so the receptionist recorded my message and assured me that it was not acceptable and someone would be giving me a call back asap. A day goes by nothing. The next day some thing. I called the second time and again wasn't able to speak to an office manager. I again left a voicemail. A day goes by then another with no word. I finally call them to let them know that we would be leaving the practice as this wasn't a mistake, but a pattern of behavior.

We are new and finding a pediatrician is a bit overwhelming as reviews are all over the place. To compound it, my kiddo was already sick and I needed to find someone ASAP. I was very impressed with St Alphonsus Pediatrics from start to finish. The receptionists were helpful, and the Dr we saw was great. Coming from out of state, I was used to very cold doctors always in a rush and making you feel awful for taking too much time. I was so grateful to NOT feel that way here. The whole staff was helpful from start to finish. I appreciate feeling that the doctor listened to what I said, and my concerns, without judgment, and she didn't make me feel stupid for my requests or questions. We cancelled one well-baby appointment for one of our children, and a month later were sent a unkind and negative note saying they would be dropping us because of the missed appointment. They never called us to reschedule. A little after the first note, they sent an even more negative one saying we were not welcome back. Basically, they like billing our insurance for the lucrative well-baby check ups and if we miss one, they aren't interested. If you're into going to the doctor every chance to can, never need to cancel, and you've got good insurance, this is probably a great place to be. Again, nothing against Dr. Beauchaine; its the office practices that is causing the low review.

My family member suffered ongoing severe pain while more than one referral, at separate times, didn't get processed and ultimately lost.
