Couldn't even remember name of the medical tape/wrap I needed. Once I described it to the gentleman who answered the phone, he was able to discern what I needed. And calm me down. I shattered my patella ten years ago and have had several surgeries as well as a total knee…read morereplacement. My doctor has now told me my knee is unstable and I needed a brace for it. After several trips to surgical supply stores and two braces, I tried Merrick surgical supplies. Leo, the owner waited on me and gave me his best brace.to try. When it gave me no relief he referred me to a custom brace designer. No one else suggested this type of service. Leo could easily have sold me yet another brace, but was honest and sincere in telling me that I would be better off at a different establishment. If you are looking for any type of surgical supply or furniture, I 100% would recommend Merrick Surgical Supplies and Home Care. He and his wife are not only knowledgable, but equally importantly honest and very sincere. They truly care about their customers.

They don't have s huge shoe collection for clinical staff but they have some accessories for badges and some other odds and ends. This is mainly for uniforms- they have everything color coded, so it's easy to find what you are looking for. I'll definitely refer my employees and friends here.

Surgery was a success, all fine there. Go home. The very next day I get a call from M H Mandelbaum Orthotic & Prosthetic asking for payment. $450 for the brace. It was never mentioned how expensive it would be. I look up how much the exact same brace costs online. $100. I ask the M H Mandelbaum receptionist what is up with the nearly 500% up charge? She rudely responds, "What upcharge? We DELIVERED the brace to you the day of the operation. That is what you paid for." Wow, relax lady. First of all.. Dr. Mandelbaum did NOT even put the brace on.. Mather hospital staff put the brace on.. and it was not adjusted properly.. not their fault.. Dr. Mandelbaum should have put it on correctly.. and explained in detail how to use this whopping $450 brace with all its settings that they high pressure sold me.. But he didn't. And I could have been informed I would need this brace and ordered the brace online days ago and saved myself a much needed $350. For profit medicine at its sleaziest. We were able to get in touch with her ENT who prescribed some medication. However, try finding a pharmacy that will answer the phone and accommodate our needs immediately, not so easy. You see it was 8:00 AM and my mother needed to arrive at the funeral home before 10:30 AM. The ENT Doctor assured us if my mother could get the medication in her system it should start to work and she could be up on her feet in a couple of hours. Now I had to find a pharmacy that would contact the Doctor, fill the prescription and have it ready for me in minutes, basically impossible. So I thought. Well, Town offered the impossible. I called one hour before they opened, only expecting to leave a message. When miraculously, Alan picked up the phone. I explained the situation and received the exact response I wanted but never expected to get. "Give me the Doctors number, get here ASAP, knock on the door because the store will still be closed but I'll have everything ready for you". At 10:15 a.m. my mother was able to walk into the funeral home and say her final goodbye to my father. Thank you Town Pharmacy and Thank you Alan, A Real Life Super Hero.

How is that my wife and I had the exact opposite experience as all these people have had? Well, when the owners of said business decide to sell it two weeks after you enroll your prescriptions. So basically, you can pretty much disregard all of the reviews up until November 2025, as they were posted under Town Pharmacy's previous family-owned front. I don't know who these new guys are, but this place is as hot of a mess as it gets. Nobody currently working here seems to have any idea what they're doing. They consistently get confused. I've called three times asking to have the same two prescriptions refilled and delivered to my home. Each time, nothing was done. In one instance, someone answered and asked me to "Call my doctor to get the ball rolling" while he worked on getting my order. Uhh...isn't that what I just called YOU to do? The venerable icing on the cake was one morning when my wife called to order her insulin. She was told it would be delivered same-day. Gets a callback a little time later: "Sorry, it's too dark out. Someone will come tomorrow." It was 4pm. My wife and I were left speechless. Until, and IF, this place gets its act together, I'd avoid this pharmacy. Already, reluctantly, in the process of moving my scrips to Walgreens.
