Nice funny engaging Uber knowledgeable. We all learned a ton. We saw Alligators snakes lizards tortoise a Dragon spiders and more . Oddly kids liked the tortoise the best. She ended up staying longer than she was suppose to and only left after my wife made the kids stop asking questions. She was booked solid and had more shows that day so call ahead. Def recommend. Absolutely hands down one of the most awesome, entertaining dance performances I have ever seen!…read more Yep, the Phunk Phenomenon-- including Junior Phunk (8-12 year olds) and Lil Phunk (6-13 year olds who perform at half-time dring Celtics games!!! ...and are my new personal heroes)-- performed at AIDS Walk Boston this year. And let me tell you, they rocked the place to the ground. They grooved, they shaked. They breakdanced. They did crazy isolations. One kid had a mohawk. One kid got up there and tore it up all by himself on stage! Backflips happened. Dancers came flying off the stage. I'm telling you, these kids can MOVE. Meanwhile, the crowd was going wild. We had about 15,000 people on the Hatch Shell that day, all dancing, cheering, smiling, and having a blast. Afterward, the feedback was amazing-- people LOVE the Phunk Phenomenon, and want them back. I just wish that I had joined the Phunk Phenomenon when I was 8 years old! Maybe then my "robot" would be more believable. Le sigh. Anyway, check out their website (it's highly entertaining!!), enroll your kids in classes, and get to a performance as soon as you can!

I had previously had good experiences at hair schools, including Empire, so I booked a foil root…read moretouch-up to match the little bit of blonde I have in my dark hair, a deep conditioning treatment, and a haircut for 9:30. Unfortunately, this visit was extremely disappointing. After more than 5 hours, the foiling process still wasn't complete. While I understood my student was learning, there appeared to be very little instructor guidance. When I expressed concerns about the length of the appointment the instructor was dismissive and simply offered to rinse out the bleach and let me leave. I remained there beyond 6 hours and past closing. I was the last customer there. My toner was processed for only a few minutes, and my conditioning treatment and haircut were not completed. The instructor approved the work, and I was sent to pay with soaking wet hair. When I questioned why the remaining services couldn't be completed and voiced my unhappiness, the instructor was quick to threaten to call the police if I did not pay. The school's Director informed me I was not welcome back and stated that customers should expect appointments to last 7.5+ hours. The final result left me with uneven, yellow hair that did not resemble what we discussed. My roots were not properly blended, and I now need to spend over $300 to correct the color. Empire Beauty School demonstrated poor instructor oversight, poor communication, and a lack any sense of accountability.
