We came here with friends. I ordered the chicken dinner special and the chicken thigh was under cooked. When I sent it back, the manager came to the table to try to defend the meal. He offered to give me another thigh, but I was already turned off and declined. They didn't take anything off the price of the meal. Our friend ordered the boneless wings and sent them back twice due to the terrible. They actually did take them off of her bill without question. My recommendation is to stick with the burgers and don't stray too far away from easy food to cook. read more

We are repeat customers and have always enjoyed the Richmond location but this time it just wasn't good my husband got the sliders and fries the fries were cold the waitress never checked on us and she was no where to be found they were not busy it was Sunday night at 8 pm whenever we did see her or she came over she was coughing quite a lot which really is unbecoming in the food industry I hit the shrimp scampi pasta which had no tomatoes at all and no pesto but it was still good the roll it came with was a rock all in all it just wasn't great tonite . read more

Awesome live music with good pub food! We visited this location on a busy Friday night and the atmosphere was very lively. There was a solo singer performing on his guitar and everyone was in a good mood. We ordered the braised brussel sprouts and loved it. It was very tasty with the feta cheese and balsamic vinegar drizzle. We also tried the mango bango tacos (chicken), spicy salmon bowl, and spicy habanero wings. The tacos came with a generous amount of chips with salsa and guacamole. The spicy salmon bowl was not only tasty but also equally healthy. It had a variety of different vegetables on a bed of rice. The wings are good but nothing spectacular. I would recommend them as a safe choice for a picky eater. They also have a large selection of beers on tap to choose from! My husband and I decided to try this place for the first time on a Tuesday night, and to be honest we were pretty bummed out, from the start the waitress (Isabella D) seemed to have an attitude and we realize sometime people just have a bad day and we tried to carry on our night like normal. But the whole time she ignored us and didn't check on our table at all even though a drink was in need of a refill a majority of the time. We waited almost an hour for our food to come out and when it did it was cold due to her placing our order then sitting behind the bar on her phone we watched and seen she never went back to the kitchen and when she'd come back with food she'd avoid eye contact and leave before we could say anything. Met my friend for lunch-as our food came an additional bottle of ketchup was delivered.. I opened the lid and it exploded !!! yes exploded!!! covered my food.., shirt .. hands - pants table of food ect... I asked the server to help with the cleanup ..she did tried to continue eating -dipped my fry into the pile of ketchup when it hit my mouth I immediately noticed it was spoiled !! my friend did the same- looked at the ketchup bottle and it was "full of air " bottom of bottle was round! manager came - disagreed with the " spoiled ketchup"wecsent back 2 burgers and fries - delivered a new pile of fries - so unprofessional! Much larger in person than I expected; plenty of space and a nice clean layout. Our host was very personable and attentive which was really nice to have great service. Food wise it was good, but the Pub Club Sandwich was VERY small. They cut it into triangular 4's which made it very bite size; I would have preferred to have it just cut in half so it was easier to pickup and eat. We've been coming here for years without incident. Today was very disappointing. We came for an early dinner at 4:30 pm. The restaurant was not busy and amply staffed. We were seated and watched as four or five waitresses meandered the dining room. A few minutes after being seated. A waitress approached the table to let us know someone would be with us shortly. We continued to wait fifteen minutes with no service before walking out the door. Doesn't exactly make me want to support this business. Top this off with a full bar and craft beers. The establishment offers pool tables and a spacious room you can rent for any event. The windows retract for an outdoor modern feel. Haven't been to a Hamlin pub since the original location was the only location, which is to say well over 30 years. We went for my nephews baptism luncheon and I was pleasantly surprised. The corned beef was excellent as was the chili. Great tap beer selection and great service. The food started to come out as the Pastor was saying grace, both servers stopped in their tracks and waited until he was finished, with both hands/arms fully loaded. Very clean and all covid protocols in place. One final note, they have a separate room for large gatherings which is where we sat. read more

I love this restaurant! We have a Ladies lunch there every month! Love the food, except the last visit. I ordered the Southwest Chickem Cobb Salad, like I do every month. Normally it is awesome. This last visit, it was really bad. The chicken was just little bits of old shredded chicken, half the ingredients were missing, and someone had added shredded carrots and huge chunks of green pepper. No scallions or tomatoes or cheese at all. I should have sent it back but we were a large crowd and our server was busy. Next time I will send it back and pick a new venue if necessary. read more

Went here for lunch today (Thursday) around 1:30 & there was a decent sized crowd for that time of day, I thought. Place was very clean, service was efficient & our server was very polite & accommodating. I got the chicken chevre sandwich with fries. It was very good, $1.50 up charge for the fries. My friend got the Guinness salad, which was HUGE & she said it was fabulous. I thought the sandwich was a little pricey, but it was good all the same. I also got a large Detroit Style Pizza with pepperoni to go because pizzas are half off on Thursdays. Looked yummy, but I haven't tried it yet (will post after I try it). The establishment is very nice looking & is full of huge TV's, so it'd be a great place to watch sports. I'd definitely go back to try something different. read more

I enjoyed my expierence at the new Hamlin Pub in Richmond. The decorations and layout were thoughtfully planned out. I liked how a lot of the decor tied into the city of Richmond and can relate with the locals. We were starving upon arrival. So we decided to order two appetizers. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip and the brussel sprouts. I was in shock that my boyfriend had picked out a healthier appetizer option then normal. I was a little hesitant on it but when the brussel sprouts came out they were deliciously covered in feta cheese and a special sauce. I was taken back by the brussel sprouts because they did not come out warm, just eh warm/room temp. The spinach artichoke was delicious! I don't know what it is...but Hamlin pub cheese anything has my heart. Our main entree of boneless wings were great. I wish our waitress would have been more attentive. They have a very wide drink menu. Including Bud Light Lime and Orange (yay!!) I was excited that they carried these options. read more

Brand new business in Richmond. I've been to the one in chesterfield and always enjoyed it. I have been to the new location in Richmond 3 times. Ate/drank inside twice and takeout once. The first time I went was lunch time on their very first day open to the public. I went with an open mind expecting a little chaos. I went with a friend and her 3 children and my two children as well. Outnumbered we were. The only chaos that day was our table of children! The staff was great. The place is beautiful! Everything came out in a timely manner, and tasted great. I was very impressed especially that being the first day open. My husband and I went back again for drinks a couple weeks later. The place was packed. We found two seats at the bar and right away they took our drink order. There was never a time we had to get someone's attention for a drink. We had a cold one in front of us before we even knew we needed one. Great night out! Another week later I ordered takeout. Fish-n-chips. Usually not the best dish to get as takeout. But that's what I was feeling. It was ready in 10 minutes. Picked it up, drove home and everything was still crispy and delicious as if I was eating it in the restaurant. Perfect take out containers to keep the food delicious. Overall, highly recommended for great food, staff and a night out! Visited tonight for the soft opening. The entire pub is amazing! Finishes are top notch. Service was phenomenal. Food was excellent, as always! The hostesses were turning away customers left and right, as it's not open to the public just yet. What a great sign! I had my usual "Cuban Crush"... try it, it's delicious! I also tried a new app, brussel sprouts. O M G delicious! They have a TON of accordion windows and big garage doors. It's going to be amazing come summer! The bar is HUGE. Great food from a varied menu. I had wings, the sauce (honey BBQ) was hotter than expected. More like a spicy BBQ sauce. Bit it was very good. There was 6 of us on a sunday night and each had a different entre. Service was still only a short wait. Our server, nina, was very attentive and kept our drinks filled. This location is new to the chain with other locations in the area. It would have rated 5 stars except for the noise. One or two drinking patrons got a bit loud, and the music was a little excessive. Absolutely worst service ever! Waitress wandered around the restaurant without coming to take our drink order for over 20min. Then once we asked someone else to please have our waitress come to our table she finally came over. Did she start by saying sorry I am busy or just sorry? NOPE! Just walked up to the table and asked "you want something to drink?" Ordered soup that of course never came. Ordered a dinner salad that was just a little bigger than the side salad, no meat but was somehow 11.00. Buffalo chicken sliders were pathetic. One small piece of a Buffalo chicken tender on each. In total maybe one chicken tender spilt between the three sliders. Total waste of money and horrible service. And it's not because they are understaffed. If a 1/4 of the workers who just stood around talking to each other would take a table prob wouldn't have been so bad. First time to this location and most definitely my last. Better off going to Burger King then stop at Kroger and get a 30pack. Save yourself about and hour and 45 minutes of your day and get more bang for your buck..... read more

This place is always terrible. Came for a to go order only because other places were closed. Called on my way to place a to go order and got put on hold for my entire drive there(20 plus minutes). Arrived was about 5 customers there on a Sunday night. Sat down for 10 minutes at the bar before a bartender even took my drink order. Waited another 10 to get my to go order in. 10 more minutes to get a bottle beer that I could see from where I was sitting. Was never offered a second drink. Food took 45 min and it was just an app and a sandwich. Asked for fries got chips asked for blue cheese sauce got nothing. Guess I will go to Kroger next time read more

My husband and I decided to have dinner here last night. We waited about 20 minutes to be seated, sharing a large table with another couple, which we didn't mind. Our server was great, very attentive and friendly. The beer was cold and served with an orange slice...awesome! My husband's bloody mary was good too. We ordered a spinach artichoke dip for an appetizer, my husband had buffalo chicken sliders and I had the lake perch. The dip was great, but came just a couple minutes before our entrees. The sliders were great, the perch, not so much. It was overcooked and too crunchy. The fries were nothing to write home about either. The cole slaw was really good, there just wasn't enough of it.
