Hamilton Mall - Abandoned. So depressing

The mall is like a ghost town. There are a lot of vacant storefronts and only a couple of places…read moreopen in the food court and everything closes early. There are a lot of other stores in the area to go to and a lot of restaurants nearby, so you can still shop in the area right around the mall, so it's not a wasted trip. There is plenty of parking and it's easy to get to the surrounding stores and restaurants. I would rate service as poor to fair because there are very few employees around to assist you, and the selection is not great because there aren't many stores open and 2 out of the three major anchor stores are closed. Value is still good if you find something you want on sale.

Haven't been in awhile but I took my grandson there in a recent visit to let him play on the dollar rides and look around at what stores were left. A few of the dollar rides worked but some of them didn't. He had to use the bathroom so we went to the second floor bathrooms near the food court. After using the bathroom we found out that the men's room sink didn't work at all, so I couldn't clean him properly. My wife also had to use the bathroom and she was in her wheelchair so I looked for the handicap toilet. It was out of order. The next time I went here it was just me and my wife (again in her wheelchair). We wanted to look around a bit, but first she had to use the bathroom. Mind you the first thing that was wrong was the entrance getting into the mall had a broken handicap door. We went to the first floor bathrooms because I knew they had a family bathroom. I first tried the family bathroom because she needs assistance. The door was locked. I then looked at the men's room and the handicap stall was out of order. I moved her to the women's room and the handicap stall was out of order. She really needs the handicap rails and non of the other stalls had them.

Small Cutesy little Village…read more We came on a whim around noon and walked around shoppes. I liked them, but they weren't very unique. Ate at Fred and Ethel's Lantern Light Tavern. The wait for 2 people was 45mins around 2pm, but as we finished eating around 330pm the restaurant was getting emptier. Food was average. There isn't much for kids to do. Just a carousel, s'mores, train ride ($4 per person for a 5min ride) and the talking tree. You can do everything in under an hour and everything is more fun after dark of course. I was very excited for the "light show," which was extremely underwhelming. There was maybe 20ish little trees made of lights, spread out around the lake area and they were flashing synced with songs. Seriously... that is it... Lake was dried out so maybe that took away from the experience ? Doubt it. My partner and I had a great time, but it is not somewhere I would like to visit more then once.

There is even a Bed & Breakfast, if you would like to spend the night. You could dedicate a lot of time and rack up a lot of numbers on your pedometer, here, but it'll be worth every step you take. Have fun exploring the stores, the amazing fragrances, the restaurants, and/or sweets that you'll experience and.......happy shopping.
