This was my first trip to a real flea market, and I was blown away by the size of it. Spent a good 40 minutes walking around and debating purchases. There's produce, socks, t-shirts, used games (and some new games,) cleaning supplies, housewares, decorations, food, furniture...just about everything. I thought I would get a lot, but I ended up with only a chip and dip set for $3, my boyfriend got a turkey dish for this mom for $5. If you don't have a reason to be in the area, I wouldn't suggest driving down for it. The biggest deals are on cleaning supplies, toiletries, socks, and t-shirts. You can also get a great deal from one of the few people there who are just trying to sell of their old stuff, but you can probably just find a garage sale in your neighborhood that's just as good.

To me, 97.5% of it looked like stuff that was bought off the Walmart clearance aisle for a dollar or two, and is now being sold for $10-$20. I asked the man working at the front checkout counter if he had the item or has ever gotten anything like it and he stared at me and handed me a local antique store pamphlet and said "A what? I've never even heard of that. Sorry, have a nice day." I abruptly said thank you and left. I would give it one star but I will give it two because they did have a few antiques. I was derelict in my Yelping of this institution for far too long. I was here seeking out Amish cottage cheese which I haven't been able to get at the Trenton farmers market for many years. I knew it would be located in the Amish wing but I needed to walk the rest of the building too. I entered that section to find crowds of people everywhere. To view the prepared hot foods would have required standing in a long line just to eventually get close enough to peek at the cases. I found the cottage cheese prepackaged and decided to walk around the rest of the place before returning to make a few purchases. There were so many temptations in the Amish part, pretzels, prepared salad items, donuts, baked goods in general and of course the meats. The rest of Columbus has treasures to be found as well, depending on your outlook. Discount over the counter drugs, health and beauty,craft soda and pickles, clothes of all kinds, shoes, housewares. I could probably go on. Really something for everyone. My stroll took me past a chicken shop that once I caught the smell of its fried goods, I knew I'd be trying on my way back. At the far end where other food stalls are I saw a taqueria that I plan on trying next trip. With a bag full of fried goodness I was no longer concerned about the Amish foods. I grabbed the cottage cheese and walked out with just a bit of regret that I didn't snag a donut or a dozen. I popped into the produce building just to see what was there. Nice looking veggies but most were sold in bulk. Towards the end of this building is a seafood market that I've heard good things about. Now I have more reasons to return. 4.5 stars !
