The store was having a Christmas in July sale. They had tasty snacks, Christmas cookies, and drinks for customers and their many rooms filled with antiques and collectibles were festively decorated for the event. We had the best time looking at all the unique and beautifully displayed pieces. My husband knows how much I love everything vintage and antiques. He had almost as much fun as I did exploring all they had to offer. He found this wonderful antique store just outside of Bethany and we are so very glad we stopped on our way home from the beach! We ended up making new friends, finding so many special pieces for gifts and decorating our home. Already sent the info to friends who share my love of all old things cool. Can't wait to go back!

For starters, I love this antique store! It's so fun to walk around and find things that you've…read morenever even heard of! It has so much variety. I would give it 4 stars, however, there's a few things that make me give it 3 stars. Some of the reasons include: Don't go on a hot day. It can get very hot/humid inside due to no air conditioning, only fans. Sometimes the man at the counter can be kind of rude. Sometimes things are overpriced. Due to it being vendors that sell there, he "rarely" lowers anything for anyone, so the price is the price. Otherwise, I think it's a great antique store with a wonderful selection, and it's a great place to visit on a day that's not hot or a day that's cold and rainy and I love to come here and will continue to do so!

It checks all the boxes one could draw up for what an Antique shop would have: older building smell, a lot of merchandise, and all sizes and prices. Come prepared to take your time and walk through the whole store as it is above average size wise. The main part of the store has the higher end items right at the front near the register and then the side rooms are the more traditional vendor rented areas where depending on the seller you'll see the trend/theme of the merchandise. We found some great deals on tins and other household items to display on our walls and shelves for sure! Note: I noticed the folks that threw in the 1-Star reviews due to their concerns about the history and background of merchandise being sold and/or the comments made by an employee. One thing I encourage potential buyers to consider is that these locations are used by dozens of vendors. If one were to boycott the entire building, there will be sellers that may well 100% agree with your viewpoint but still lose out of sale due to the presence of objectionable items from unrelated vendors or comments made by a cashier. Boycott that particular seller if you want to make an impact with your wallet, but to carte blanche rule out the rest of the inventory, keeping in mind that there's only so many places these sellers can afford to rent out booths at, seems unproductive to the whole support small business mindset this kind of shops promote.

It was more like an indoor mall and I could have spent hours here. It literally takes up approximately 4 storefronts and wraps around to the next street. I found a few of the items in the individually rented/owned booth area to be overpriced as compared to items in the general area which were more reasonable. It was a fun visit and a nice walk back in time to visit Town Center Antiques.

It's quite fun, and while this year it was unusually freezing (I saw frozen sea foam), it was sunny and bright. While Lion was defrosting himself we decided to check out the local thrift scene...only to discover that most of the local thrift scene is closed on Sundays. Understandably, it's a beach town in winter. Unfinished Business was open so we headed there. The store is a little obscured from DE Route 1, there's a Panera Bread in front of their building and part of the building is a self storage company so unless you turn on the side street you will be looking at the next shopping center over and not finding it. It's like a treasure hunt for treasure. It's not a large store, however it was clean and what they had was reasonably well displayed, in the style of a retail store. They had some lovely clothing and housewares, at reasonable, but not bargain, prices. I did find a fantastic oversized fisherman style wool sweater, the kind you really need to wear a long sleeve shirt under 'cause it's kinda itchy but divinely warm, and a few knick nacks. Sheba found some clothes and a cool mug. The staff were friendly, though they mostly left us to do our browsing. Parking is easy, there's a large free private lot out front. This is a nice place for someone on vacation, or maybe outfitting a beach house, to pick things up, benefits some local charities, however it's not a stop for the thrift or bargain hunter.
