I hate to write a bad review of any business, but the staff demonstrated a fundamental lack of care in my opinion. I am not from the Niagara region. A friend recommended NQ to me, and so I used their Airsoft part ordering service. This process took a couple months, with an extreme lack of communication. My friend would frequently contact the staff, and they would consistently not be aware of the status of our products. Apparently their parts "person" would not be in, and they would not maintain consistent contact with him. NQ would never give an ETA, citing problems at the border with the United States. When the products finally did arrive, we made the hour or so trip into St. Catherine's. Little did we know that the parts were not even ordered for one of my friend's guns. I handed over mine (CYMA M14 and KJW M9) to be fitted with a new barrel and hop up, and my friend gave his Desert Eagle to their gun technician. They then proceeded to tell me (after a week or so) that the hop up replacement was not necessary and that the barrel did not fit. They did not have access to my guns. I get that. But if they did not know something, they should have asked. I still got charged $25 for labour and my friend's gun was worse off than it came in. In terms of selection, NQ is not bad. However, DMZ does get a G&G shipment each month. I would place an order with them and get guns with them instead. I understand certain things take time, but I was never informed of the delay and was never questioned if parts would fit. They still charged me $25 and told me "this stuff happens". A fundamental lack of customer service.

I also wanted…read moreto try a shooting range that lets you use real guns with real bullets, which there aren't too many in the GTA. I came across Silverdale Gun Club through a Wagjag deal and decided to try them out. It was my first time trying something like this, so I had no idea what to expect. Our instructor was Adam, and he was great. He was very nice, gave us clear instructions, was patient and he answered questions we had. You could tell he really enjoys what he does. I also liked that this range was outdoors. I was grouped with a few other people who also had a Wagjag package, which I liked. It made it more fun and interactive. I enjoyed being able to watch others shoot and encourage everyone as a group. We got earplugs (which you definitely need), and we got to shoot four types of guns - handgun, 9mm, rifle and AKS. I was pretty nervous of the recoil, but I had no issues with any of these guns. My favourite was the AKS because the stance we were in with elbows on the table felt more comfortable. It was also cool to aim through the scope! Apparently this is one of the few places that let you shoot with a wide range of guns. It's also open almost every day of the year, except Christmas and New Year's. Super fun experience and definitely recommend if you want try shooting for the first time or even if you just need somewhere to shoot with your own gun.

On my way there from Toronto, unfortunately my playing partner informed me she wasn't feeling well and needed to bail. Oh well, life happens, I was already on my way and figured I'd get my round in anyways as this place has been on my to play list for ages. When I got there, I informed them that my playing partner had to cancel because she got sick, and they said that unfortunately they were going to have to charge me anyways as that is their policy unless you cancel 24 hours before hand. We had only booked the night before, so about 12 hours before hand. I understand the policy, but I'm disappointed they didn't want to accommodate someone who drove over an hour and a half to come play. I left because I was just flabbergasted and never had this happen to me before in many decades of golfing. I decided to go to another course nearby in protest. I ended up getting billed on my credit card for two, even though I don't have my credit card "on file" with their online system, but have used it in the past. I've tried following up with both the golf course and the booking system and both have refused to budge. It's too bad, it looks like a decent course from the parking lot.

The first time we purchased a day pass and the kids stayed for almost 5 hours - without coming to shore once. I also participated and really enjoyed it too with a healthy fear of injuring myself - I served as a bowling pin to bendy kids slipping and sliding through the course :-). The second visit, only the 2h pass (peak hours) was available and the kids used every minute of it. We packed a lunch and drinks, blankets for lounging and chilled out for a good portion of the day while the kids enjoy the inflatable course. It's fun to watch them ! We've seen many bring small bbqs and make it a full day. There is a BBQ stand selling food by the change rooms if you'd rather take that route. Tip : If you purchase the Niagara Peninsula Conservation season pass (approx $130 which gives you access to other Niagara Parks) and can make good use out of it, it makes FunSplash more affordable in the long run.
