Dear Av Resuello, Medical Group,…read more I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding an extremely unprofessional and disrespectful interaction I experience when calling your office to confirm my appointment. During my call, the first staff member informed me that she could not locate my information and then place me on hold. After several minutes, another person picked up the line and greeted me as if I were a brand-new caller, with no acknowledgment that I had already been on hold. When I expressed the confusion and frustration about the situation, instead of listening or asking what the issue was, that staff member immediately. Stated that the police would be called if I came to the office. The response was completely inappropriate, unnecessary and highly unprofessional. At no point did I threaten anyone. I was simply trying to understand what had happened with my call and my appointment. Being met with that kind of hostility is unacceptable, especially from a medical office where professionalism, respect, and commotional should be top priorities. I am requesting that this incident be properly investigated and that the staff involved receive corrective action, whether that be disciplinary measures or formal retraining on communication, phone etiquette and de-escalation skills. Patient should never feel dismissed or theater when trying to receive assistance. I would also like to mention that when the agent who was assisting me called the office on my behalf, that same staff member spoke to her in a disrespectful and unprofessional manner as well. This shows that the issue is not isolated and that the way customer and even other professional are being spoken to need to be addressed. Please take this matter seriously and ensure that no other patient has toa experience what I did. I look forward to a response confirming my complaint has been received and steps are being taken to address this behavior.

First of all, she's a pediatrician! My cardiologist sent me…read morethere for a PCP referral (I'm a senior). I walk in to a room full of people (mostly children) and had to ask a child where to check in because the registration 'window' is completely covered with papers/signs/notices ... seriously can't even tell there's a window there. The only door is semi blocked so it took me a while to see that you have to knock on the door (wth) to even get someone to recognize that you are there. I don't even know what to say about quality of care. So bad! I waited over 3 hours and when I finally got in through the door it is littered with unnecessary furniture and obstacles so it makes it hard to walk through the hallways and get in the exam room, which is an office. I get it, it's a small business and you use what you have but this was extreme. The 'nurse' took all my info, then the doctor came in and did do a good background on me, except for wanting to change all my heart medications without first consulting my cardiologist. Then they made a huge mistake by typing in my name wrong on all the records so between them, my insurance claim, and CVS I now have 3 aliases and none of them are me so it's been a month and I'm still trying to get that fixed. It's really hard to get through to the office. The main number rings and rings and then magically disconnects. IMPOSSIBLE to get through, on a regular basis. When the doctor asked me when I wanted to go back for recheck, I asked for a day that wasn't as busy so I didn't have to wait three hours. She LAUGHED and said it was always like that. Wow. I did make an appointment but have been trying every day calling back to back for 20 minutes during lunch to get through to cancel. I will fax them along with a copy of this review and hopefully they will improve their services to other patients. Worst of all, the parking lot is horrid. There is one way in - one way out. Not enough parking for everyone so best of luck if you have big car/suv. I had to go around the block twice to realize the entrance is on the side street and getting out I had to back out of the IN way because I couldn't make the turn around the building to get out the out way.

I cannot believe there are good reviews here. This place constantly books appointments all morning…read morewhen the doctor just doesn't feel like he needs to show up until mid afternoon. Have been sitting here waiting since 11am. It's almost 1:30pm. Doctor still hasn't decided to even show up to his own practice. Hope he's getting some real good sleep. I woke up on time to pick up my friends before their appointment and get them there (early). Does the doctor care that my friend has the medical problems they have? No. Because the doctor knows about the issues and doesn't care to be on time, knowing my friend is about to end up having a flare-up attack of their Tourette's. For which he's been in the hospital five times in the last month. What a joke this place is. The office staff is condescending and rude if you dare to ask if things are running on time when you get there, as if we have the audacity to expect some consideration of our time. Make sure that you have to do literally nothing else all day if you make an early appointment. I don't have a clue how long people have to wait whose appointments are at 2pm since the entire waiting room is busting to the brim and it's sweltering hot. And of course nobody is wearing a mask during a pandemic in a doctors office because God forbid anyone think maybe there are immunocompromised people needing to see their doctor. This is the worst doctor in town. And I've lived here since 1990. Been to many. It's a joke. Update: as I was waiting in my car, I saw him walk into the building. I asked if he was the doctor and he tried to evade talking to me. I let him know one of his patients who has been here for two and a half hours as he strolls in without a care is having a flare up in a waiting room. And let him know he should probably be on time for his appointments. He attempted to make an excuse for why he was gone as he ascended the stairs, and I told him maybe he shouldn't book appointments when he isn't going to be there. It's not like this was an isolated incident. It is literally every time. Trash. Just trash. Oh. And the moron wasn't even wearing his mask correctly. It goes over the nose. Update #2: The nurses also weren't wearing their masks properly. And if you thought that he cared at all about HIPPA? Guess again! He took two calls from/regarding other patients while in the exam room with my friends and they could hear every detail of the calls and the health and details of those two patients without even trying to listen because the doctor has his phone volume up super high. I guess besides being dumb, he's also deaf? Save yourself the trouble. I wish there was a way to award zero stars.

I selected Dr. Lampinen as my physician of choice based on three factors: 1) He was accepting patients, 2) He would see babies/children, 3) Location. My appointment was scheduled for 10 a.m. I received no instruction to arrive early, advance paperwork nor confirmation email / phonecall. I arrived at 9:47 a.m. The reception area is shared with another physician and there are two reception desks on opposing sides. The other doctor's area was lively, bright, TVs were on and a handful of persons were being serviced. Conversely, Dr. Lampinen's desk was empty and the lights were off. The area appeared closed. There was one other patient on this side of the waiting room. I signed in. There was one name ahead of mine. She arrived at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:30 a.m. appointment time. I sat down and waited. After 15 minutes someone showed up to one of the rear workstations with her back to the lobby. She didn't review the sign in sheet nor greet anyone. She was eating breakfast at her desk. I got up and asked if there was some paperwork to fill out. Through a mouthful of food, she told me she would get someone. A second admin appeared and provided me with standard paperwork. For a VIP experience, I expected the documents in advance or at least electronic versions to complete. I finished the paperwork at approximately 10:08 a.m. Around that same time, the woman with the 10:30 a.m. appointment was seen. I waited approximately 30 minutes longer and was called back. A woman took some preliminary information (weight, height) and my vitals and I was told to wait and the doctor would be in shortly. The doctor came in at exactly 11 a.m. He was friendly and seemed personable. I interrupted the normal introductory banter and recounted what I've documented here. I told him that it was unacceptable and the primary reason for enrolling in the concierge service was to avoid wait times and have a VIP experience. He apologized profusely and offered a wide variety of excuses. For example, the air conditioning is malfunctioning so the reception team was keeping the lights off to help keep the area cool. He didn't have an explanation for the 10:30 a.m. appointment being seen first, but acknowledged that it shouldn't happen. He could not explain the lack of customer service or not having personnel present. He noted that all of his reviews were positive and my experience was uncharacteristic. He asked if I would prefer to reschedule, continue or end the visit. I elected to end the visit and requested that my paperwork be returned. When I left the office, I called MDVIP and described what transpired. They also apologized. They asked if I would like to see another physician. I explained that when I first enrolled there were no other physicians that met my criteria (accepting new patients and seeing babies). I requested a refund for the $3,000. The polite woman on the phone told me she would call the physician's office to follow up and process the requested refund.
