Went here for my first ever head spa and wow, what an experience! My sister surprised me for my birthday, and I honestly loved every second of it. Cassidy was the one who worked on me, and she was seriously the sweetest. Super friendly, professional, and made sure I felt comfortable the whole time! The location is a little tucked away, but once you park and walk up, the signage is easy to spot. Inside, it's super clean, bright, and relaxing. They started with a scalp analysis, which was really cool to see before the treatment. We did the middle tier package my sister booked, and it lasted about an hour. At first, I was a little ticklish and kept getting goosebumps lol but in a good, relaxing way. It was such a unique experience. This place is such a beautiful hidden gem! My friend and I came here and we both did the Nirvana Package. It definitely did not disappointment and was worth every penny. When we first arrived we were greeted by the ladies who would perform our services. They explained to us the process and had us change into the comfy robe and slippers. We first started with the individual scalp analysis to determine which products would be used during the treatment. Next we went into the super cozy and relaxing treatment room. The service started with the scalp treatment and neck and shoulder massage. Then the facial and more massage time which was amazing. After the treatment was done we were brought back to the main room where our scalps were analyzed again to see the immediate changes. It ended with a light blow dry and a seamless checkout. It's also a full service salon so they can literally take care of all your needs. I love that you can also book a small party for you and some friends to have some R&R. The salon itself is really nice and clean, but I feel like they're overcompensating--the look of the place doesn't match the quality of the service. I paid for the "Evolved" haircut, expecting a real transformation, but I don't see one at all. I specifically chose that service because I had a bunch of split ends, and yet every time I look down, I still see them. When I checked the floor at the salon, there was barely any hair that had been cut, which makes me wonder--what happens in the other haircut option? Do they just not cut anything at all? On top of that, I noticed the tip options started at 20% and went up incrementally to 30%, which felt a little excessive. It made me wonder if they're not paying their employees properly, so the customer has to overcompensate with tips. Between that and the lackluster service, I definitely didn't get what I paid for. I had tried a similar service at a different spa in Folsom before, and while I really enjoyed the relaxing experience, I wish they would at least offer a blow dryer for me to dry off my own hair. So glad they blow dry your hair for you here! The location might be a bit hard to find since the address doesn't match the street you enter on, but they texted me and that helped me find the spot. I made the appointments via text and they were very responsive and accommodating. They even moved other appointments around to fit our schedule. The spa is cute and kept clean, the decor was warm and welcoming. It was very relaxing and enjoyable overall, I can't remember if I fell asleep but my friend did lol. It was so relaxing that time literally flew by. When we were done it did not feel like it had been over an hour because I was so incredibly relaxed I thought only 20 minutes had passed! My friend and I booked the Spa Day Ritual for two at $235 a person. We were so excited for the service and Tiffany and Emma did not disappoint! The space isn't too difficult to find if you use Google Maps, it'll directly straight to their back parking lot. The space is so clean and I love the interior decor from the front desk to the stations and even in the bathroom! Tiffany did a fantastic job designing the space. Emma started by analyzing my hair and discussing treatment then we went right to the headspa. It was a really relaxing experience. Compared to the other headspa in the greater Sacramento area, I feel like Halo explains each step and are much more detailed orientated. However, I do wish the scalp massage was longer. I felt like the facial massage was double the amount of time we spent on my actual scalp. After the treatment, Emma did another analysis and I could see how clean my scalp was! There was a huge difference and it was cool to be able to see the before and after. They also cut and blow dry your hair. The other half of the appointment was in another room where I did a foot soak and hand mask. There were also self-serve treatments like an armpit mask, eye mask, etc. I would say, the scalp treatment and analysis is really worth it and I would recommend booking a visit just for that. My friend and I wanted to go together but Emma is the only one doing the scalp treatments so we decided to do the package that way there was something for the other to do. Tiffany does plan on expanding and having several rooms for the scalp treatment, so I can't wait for that to happen! I'll have to come back with my mom once the expansion is complete! read more

I bought the "Evolve Haircut" because I needed a haircut and I really like it when hairdressers give you a shampoo scalp massage. Unfortunately, I didn't get a massage, and my haircut was very disappointing. First, it was hard to find the place. I arrived 10 minutes late because Apple Maps made it seem like it was in the shopping center next door. When I arrived, the hairdresser apologized, saying that the salon normally sends clients a text with directions, but they must have forgotten this time. The salon was very cute, and the people who worked there seemed very nice. However, the session felt rushed and I felt like the hairdresser wasn't really listening to my preferences. I didn't really get a full consultation, and I didn't get a massage, besides normal shampooing. It felt like my hairdresser rushed the haircut and focused more on the styling, which is the opposite of what I would have preferred. The haircut looked fine with a blowout, but I specifically told her that I don't usually style my own hair. Unfortunately, the cut she gave me looks terrible with my normal hair texture! Even though I asked for layers, I don't think she gave me any. I have naturally wavy hair, so now with this haircut, I have the dreaded "triangle hair" that I was trying to avoid. This place is a true gem! Opened almost a year ago in December, they offer hair services along with an absolutely amazing head spa experience! My girlfriend and I love that we can book together! And although the experience is quiet and we're not gossiping by any means, just knowing we can go together, be in the same room together and not wait on each other is a major plus in my book. We both did the deep detox package and added the "third eye" which was a nice facial and head massage. My girl was Tiffany, and she was absolutely amazing! The experience was super relaxing, she was so thorough in explaining the procedure. I took my mom to Halo Head Spa in Fair Oaks for their package for two, and it was such an amazing experience from start to finish. Our appointment was at 10:30, and from the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcomed and comfortable. They started by explaining the whole process, and we were treated to a charcuterie board plus wine and coffee, which was GREAT! We also enjoyed a warm foot soak, followed by a foot and hand massage. The scalp analysis was so interesting and really showed me how much my scalp needed this treatment. The head spa itself was incredibly relaxing. We got scalp exfoliation, massage on the head, shoulders, and upper back, steam on the face, and even a mini facial. Afterward, they did a blowout and showed us our scalp again, and the difference was amazing! Im soo glad I treated us with this. Carmen explained everything so well, and Irene was especially kind and made my mom feel very comfortable, which meant a lot to me. Everyone was so attentive, sweet, and welcoming the entire time. Two things were great: the service and the esthetician. I get my hair colored regularly and always said my favorite part is the shampoo. Imagine my delighted surprise when I learned scalp massages are a thing, and there are several options in Sac. I went with Halo after a bit of research (Instagram stalking ) and comparison of services. Specifically, I not only wanted to be pampered, I needed my dandruff issue addressed. They have the Deep Detox package that fit the bill. The place is a bit "hidden", but I got specific directions in how to get there so I didn't get lost. The spa is serene, earthy, soothing. It was just me and Katelyn there. She was so lovely and sweet, showed me my inflamed scalp on the scope camera thing, then directed me to the bathroom to get changed into a comfy towel & slippers. The service happens in a dimly lit room with spa music. Wish I could detail the Deep Detox service, but I was so relaxed once she started washing my hair that I feel right asleep. Literally snored myself awake a couple times. Consider it a compliment. After I was back on the chair and had a blowdry, we checked my scalp again and saw the redness and flakes had disappeared. I had the Deep Detox again a few months later + a facial with Katelyn before she left. I'm going to miss her in Halo. I'll continue getting scalp massages here because I'm now addicted. read more

I deal with psoriasis on my scalp and one thing that people always told me to try is a head spa to help. Since I was in the area I decided to finally go for it. I do not regret it at all! The salon was a little hard to find as the entrance is on the back side side of the street of where it is listed but it has a beautiful little patio out front. The inside is spacious, lit with natural light and just an inviting space overall. Kaela was there to greet me as she worked on someone's hair, and then I met Irene who my appointment was with. I get anxious and nervous when getting services done as someone who has psoriasis as I don't want to make people uncomfortable. That was not the case with Irene. She was nice, welcoming and explained everything every step of the way. Before we got started on my scalp treatment we sat down with a camera where she examined my scalp and showed me my psoriasis spots and oil build up. then she took me to a room where the treatment begin. I had been thinking about heading to the Bay Area to a popular chain for a Japanese head spa, but finding Halo Head Spa locally in Sacramento was super exciting and saved me a trip! From the moment I stepped in, I could tell this is where I wanted to be! I was welcomed in by Tiffany the owner who was so amazing and kind. The decor was super cute and aesthetically pleasing that definitely set the vibe. Tiffany was an absolute superstar! She was so attentive and sweet, making sure every part of my experience was tailored to me and my scalp. I let her know that I unfortunately lost my hat in the river from a rafting trip so the top of my head was a little sunburnt. She was mindful of the area and did an amazing job. When I left, my hair was unbelievably bouncy, shiny, and healthier than it's been in a while! I can't recommend Halo Head Spa enough! Emma was very thoughtful and good at her craft. The room was peaceful and smelled amazing. For the plus ones out there: I was just expecting to sit and read while I waited for B, but instead I felt so relaxed and cared for with what the owner Tiffany described as a DIY pampering station. It started with a lovely herbal foot soak, accompanied by many options for pampering myself including a heated eye mask, hydrating sheet mask, and eye gel masks. Even though my piece was more DIY in nature, Tiffany still checked in every once in a while to make sure I was doing well. The foot and hand masks were a nice bonus too! Halo Head Spa was such a treat to myself, and a treat that I will definitely indulge in for myself and others in the future. It all started with Groupon sharing about some other head/scalp spas in the area, but they were all in downtown Sacramento, which did not catch my interest. Thanks to Yelp, I found Halo! Just a note about location, it is hidden. The address is listed as Sunrise, but it is really on Pennsylvania. I think the main streets that can be helpful are get onto New York, turn on to Lemon heading north, and keep going until you dead end into the parking lot. It is actually really nice because you are off the main road, and besides one loud car, I couldn't hear anything outside on Fair Oaks or Sunrise. I reached out because I wasn't quite sure what I wanted, and Tiffany responded and was so great at answering all my questions and making sure I was set up for success for a nice spa day. I ultimately went with the Deep Detox Package, Dry Brushing for Arms, Jade Eye Mask, Jelly Mask, Self-Heating Eye Mask, and Natural Sea Salt Scrub, and since only a few of the professionals do the head spa, Tiffany scheduled me with Kaela. When I officially arrived, it was so nice feeling like I was away from everything physically. Just walking in I felt relaxed, and Kaela was so sweet from the beginning. It was really cool to be able to look at my scalp, and Kaela did a great job explaining what she was seeing and giving an overview of what to expect as well as the products they use. Then she had me complete a survey the company they use has that tells the professional which of the main products to use based on the client's scalp and hair needs. Then we went to the room designated for the head spa (which it sounds like the expansion others have mentioned is coming along and that soon two people will be able to get a head spa at the same time). The room was dark with ambient lighting and peaceful music, perfect for relaxing. While overall everything was amazing, there was definitely one highlight and one thing I would not request again. For what I would not request again, that would be the Jade Eye Mask. I can't really complain because it was free and didn't take away from anything else, but it just wasn't the cooling mask I thought it would be. It just felt like an eye mask you can get at the store, and not like the same quality as everything else I experienced, but then again, it was free as opposed to everything else. I would just rather have more time with the heated eye mask in the future instead. For what stood out, which was pretty much the opposite of the jade eye mask, it has to be the jelly mask. The picture on the website does not show Halo's actual jelly mask. First, Tiffany reached out to me before my appointment to ask which "flavor" I wanted: Aloe Vera or Egyptian Rose. Both sounded nice, but I have sensitive skin that I know is fine with Aloe Vera, so I went the safe route while trying something new. I figured they had two packets and you got one. I don't know what about the price made me think that, but I was so surprised when I could hear Kaela behind me whisking the mask after confirming what I was doing. Then she spread little bits at a time on my face. It was a freshly made jelly that became a mask after setting on my face! It was amazing and not at all what I expected! I think it is so cool that they have a way of making it fresh for each customer, and that definitely had the cooling effect I was looking for. I highly recommend this as an add-on. After, it was neat to be able to see how much cleaner my scalp and hair was, and Kaela did a quick style. She did such a great job and I got a lot of compliments! People who knew that I was going to a head spa were definitely surprised that I came out with my hair looking so much nicer than it did when I went in with the style, and the products they use smell so incredible! I'm not sure if it was the serum she sprayed in my hair, the other light products she used to style my hair, or a mix, but even when I refreshed my curls with other products and even after my first time washing my hair, the beautiful scent of those products still came through and smelled so good. The best part about that: they sell the products they use. So when I go through the products I currently have by a few other companies, I definitely want to start buying these products and see how I like using them regularly. And I will definitely be back for more head spa experiences with Kaela! read more

I saw Kaela shortly after my mom had seen her and we both absolutely LOVE her. Besides Kaela the salon is super cute and cozy. Doesn't seem like you're at a salon but more at a friend's house getting your hair done. Okay back to Kaela (: she is so patient, extremely kind and definitely knows her stuff. She explains everything during the process and is really passionate about making sure her customers feel heard and understand the importance of caring for their hair. I went for a partial and I will be doing a head spa with Kaela next and of course continuing my touch ups with my hair as frequent as she recommends. I really appreciated that and it made it very easy to find. My appointment was with Tiffany. I was greeted as soon as I walked in, got checked in and was offered some hot tea (yum!). The service was so relaxing and needed. I had the scalp analysis done to create a treatment and then taken into the room which had calming music and vibe. Tiffany explained everything she was doing the whole time. I will definitely be returning. I started out coming in as a head spa client and quickly started seeing Tiffany for my cut and color services. My hair has never looked or felt better. I am so glad there is a place that offers Japanese head treatment in my area now! I booked with Emma for the head spa and it was so relaxing. Emma made me feel really comfortable from the get-go.
