When we entered the building I instantly realized that the store is huge (though only part of it is accessible to customers). The store has LOTS of supplies in the back that are catalogued. Think they don't have what you're looking for? Ask first, but their products are also listed online. The door was locked when we arrived, but the gentleman working quickly came over and let us in. He also took us to the makeup room to peruse a bit too. The prices seemed super fair. Honestly, I thought that Theatre House blew their competition in the city out of the water. I love cappels downtown, but their prices are higher and it's a more crowded/compact store. The whole experience at Theatre House was great and I'll definitely be back!

Don't get me wrong they had a HUGE selection of costumes that of course stay true to the name of the store, are all costumes from plays around the area and beyond. There were a few things I was disappointed about: 1) The dirtiness of the costumes. 2) Referring back to #1 if they aren't cleaned before they are given to you for rental then the fee to rent is very expensive. 3) I'm not a size 0 and my section of clothing had about 6 "flapper" aka moo moo dresses in it. The man who was running the shop was extremely pleasant and very knowledgeable as was his little dog assistant. I would never tell anyone about this store, they have very little; they make it seem like they have everything and when you ask for something, they send you to another location. So might as well shop at another halloween store. I know for sure the people running this company are crooks. I looked around for places online and this one happened to be the closest to my house. I couldn't have been luckier. The store itself is not much to look at, but what they have makes up for everything. I had my pick of whatever style jazz shoe I wanted which is not always the case when you have feet as big as mine. The lady that helped me out was great. She made sure that I got the right size and style for what I needed and helped me find the pair that was most worth my money for what I needed. Beyond Jazz shoes they also have pretty much everything else you could want dance wise (as far as I can tell... I'll admit I'm not up to date on current children's dance attire). But looking around they had lots to choose from...and It was fun looking at the tap shoes they had which took me back to my younger days of tapping. I probably won't need another pair for quite some time...but when I do, this is where I'll be coming.
