I have passed this coffee shop so many times over the years of working in Beaver County, but never had occasion to stop until last Friday. The staff was extremely friendly & they have many coffees to choose from & you can also buy it by the bag. They also sell coffee mugs & gifts. I had a medium cold brew & it was very good. It's small inside & really meant for grab & go, not like a Starbucks place where you can sit & hang out or work. I think there was one small table inside & one outside on the sidewalk. I'd definitely stop again if I'm working in the area. Parking is free on street. read more

I have shopped here for more than a decade. Every time I visit, I am greeted with smiles and friendly conversation. The shop itself is quaint and full of everything a coffee or tea lover would enjoy or need. They also carry freshly made nut butters and locally baked goodies like biscotti and cookies. Additionally, the coffee selection is the best in Beaver County and they are all roasted onsite. This is one of the best kept secrets to in the county. I can't keep it to myself. First time trying their coffee last night. I ordered a large cappuccino with almond milk and sugar free vanilla. I'm SOOO impressed with how they foamed the almond milk! Delizioso! The cappuccino was perfect; best I've ever had! I want to go back today for another one! I also bought a small bag of mixed chocolate covered espresso beans and Black and Bleu seasoning. They were out of the large seasoning bottle they said. They knew their prices! Very knowledgeable staff. Cute inside with a lot of options. When I come back to visit, this will be my regular coffee spot! Sooo much better than Starbucks lol. The seasoning is also delizioso with the right amoun of heat. Chocolate covered espresso beans are excellent! I love this place! My coffee was $5.35 total (extra for almond milk and flavoring) and the chocolate espresso beans and seasoning were each $5. Love Love Love everything about this place. Great customer service to go along with AMAZING coffee. When I go in for my "coffee re-up" I treat myself to a yummy latte; usually going with the latte flavor of the month! They definitely take the time to train all the staff on how to make a specially drink because no matter who makes my drink it's bomb. I buy five, one pound bag of whole bean coffee at a time. Buy 4 pounds get one free is the deal they run right now! Which is an amazing deal!!! But honestly, even if I didn't buy the five pounds at a time I'd still say this place has great prices! I mean just go in this place and you will smell the freshness for yourself. We love the Black and Gold blend at my house so I usually go with three pounds of that and have them pick my other two. I'm always loving to try what they pick! If you are visiting or near the area definitely stop in and treat yourself! I've always enjoyed this small local business in New Brighton. I've found the staff exceedingly helpful, and their whole bean coffee is surprisingly fresh (we grind our own). Recommend the black & gold (dark and lighter beans combined). Certainly a regular stop-in when we are in town. This is a really great place. They are always friendly and their coffees really are top notch. The best I've ever tasted! My only complaint is their $5.00 minimum on credit card purchases. I get that it costs money to do those transactions but it's frustrating when I only want to buy a latte for myself that only costs $4.75 so I have to buy something else too if I don't have cash. I love Hallowed Grounds! I stopped in on a whim because it looked so cozy and inviting and smelled amazing, and I've never gone back to grocery-store coffee. My girlfriend and I are regulars here! We go in about 3-4 times a week (sometimes more!) and enjoy specialty coffees with flavor shots. Drew, Shayna, and Allie (The best barista's) always help me when I'm indecisive on what flavor mix to get. I'm a huge sucker for anything coconut and none of them ever forget it.(: The owners are always great people to be around, and you can catch them putting in hard work at the shop everyday. I give these folks ZERO STAR rating. I've spent close to $100 in this place buying loose tea and ice coffee. The first time my wife and I went we wanted to try coffee and a young girl and older man were just standing behind the counter. When I said I wanted a cup of coffee they looked at me like I was crazy and pointed at the carafe telling me to help myself. I'm used to the excellent service at Starbux which is, to this place, FAR above in comparison. I WOULD NOT recommend anyone to Hallowed Grounds. My wife and I have tried going back a few times. It's ALWAYS the same old LOUSY service. They are rude and snobbish. I bought tea there, enough that I was told I qualified for a free 2oz, but WASN'T told only up to $3.95/per 2oz pricing. Anywhere else it would be a product of equal or lesser value, right? Not this place. How cheap! When I got home and noticed my receipt, after spending nearly $60 that trip, I felt like I got ripped off by $10. Very misleading.. When my wife called the owner lied saying she was the one who helped me, but she wasn't, THEN made every excuse possible FINALLY blaming me for not seeing the sign in the store. These owners need to learn the value of what customer service is all about. I should know, I've only worked in it myself for 20 years. We've tried giving them another chance, but they continue failing. WAKE UP and smell the COFFEE! Do yourself a favor & just skip this place - Go straight to Starbux. Seems all the good reviews they get are from friends or family anyway. Not very credible. One would say, bias? read more
