Whatever your talent or hobby I'm sure that you're every requirement can be met here; Craftys stock allsorts from card making to flower arranging. There are two sections within the shop, the main being crammed with stickers, decoupage sheets, ribbon, and beads to name a few. Towards the back there is a room dedicated to paper and card, shelves stretching from floor to ceiling, neatly displaying all different types and colours. We've bought the paper for our wedding stationary from here, so I should know. We've also bought some of their decoupage sheets for my Fiancée's card making Nan and not only did she love them but they also look great on her cards. The staffs are friendly and are more than happy to help you in any way they can. It's definitely worth a visit.

The staff are helpful and you get the impression they are passionate about their trade and know what they are talking about which is an added bonus! Ive bought things from them in the past and they have always asked me if I knew how to use it. This is the kind of service you dont get in the larger stores. Its the kind of shop I look forward to visiting and am happy to part with my money in!

Cottage Crafts is a really cute little gift shop…read more They sell a really great variety of cute and unusual stock including greeting cards, jewellery, stationary (including a really quirky line with cartoon animals and funny quotes--I can't remember the name of the company, but they are really cute), and all manner of other gifty items. I love almost everything in this shop. It's colourful, cute, girly and all around fun. The only thing negative I have to say about this shop is that nothing for sale here is actually truly of a "craft" nature, and therefore Cottage Crafts is kind of an inappropriate name for the shop.

Workshops are frequently held at The Well Barn teaching craft skills such as jewellery making and decoupage. Klara's is also involved in community events such as the Summer Fete held in Little Crosby recently; while I was browsing, Klara was approached by a fundraiser requesting Klara's participation, by all accounts she is very active in community projects. I particularly like the fair trade gifts available at Klara's Crafts, they'e wonderfully made and quite inexpensive.

It is like plastercine but sets hard when baked in the oven. A cute little shop if you're feeling creative whether its doing some crafts with the kids or showing off your artistic side. There's also a nice collection of unique handbags to be tempted by and ladies you won't find these on the high street! Its always nice to know you have something that's not mass marketed.

The shops were very cute with a mirage of items for sale. Inside the gourmet foods shop, there were samples of different gourmet items including marinated sweet garlic in the food shop which turned out to be very good and not really garlicy. The contemporary crafts galleries were also fun to look around in and the artists were even there working. The animals in the farm part were adorable and included pigs, chickens, and goats. The farm was filled with information signs with character and cute jokes making the farm a charming place to spend a morning or afternoon. Cedar Farm Galleries is certainly a must do when visiting the homey town of Ormskirk.

The little shops have something a little different and I can highly recommend for a place to go to buy gifts or even special presents for yourself. It is expensive but this is due to the high quality. The galleries are a nice addition as is the coffee shop which smells wonderful and has a very traditional feel to it. I have never come across any business owner/staff who are unfriendly or unprofessional. This really is a place you could spend a long time in. You can always be surprised by this little place!

As such, it's admirably egalitarian; but of course, the standard and quality of the work on display is understandably 'variable'. It's always worth having a look around though. Some of the handicrafts are excellent (unless you share my aversion to carved wooden toadstools) and undeniably cheap in price, whereas some of the paintings and photos are unrealistically a bit on the high-side. Note: people don't mind paying for things they can use or wear, because they can readily gauge a value for themselves; but seemingly will only pay for 'art' if there's a name or reputation attached. The market itself is pleasant, well-lit, and warm. It's a good place to be in. There's also no obligation or pressure to buy, so don't be afraid to wander in and have a look around.
